I'm working on thinking up prizes for the animal themed photo contest and as soon as I get the okay to run it under this account I'll do that. I am Lady Leonardo's new account.

DAMN YOU POVERTY!!!
If I don't get a new camera soon, I don't know what I'll do. Costa can't enter just now because of my lack of camera-ness and If we start this contest and it be run by elimination, I can't enter. I think that since it is during the school year and I hand sew pretty damn slow when I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing, that each contest/elimination thing should be evey week to every two weeks. What you make doesn't have to be all that elaborate, it just has to look nice. Will the focus be the dolls, the outfits, or the over all feel?
I'd like to have a contest specifically for clothing designs/creations, so that people who do sew can showcase their work. There can be another contest for those who don't sew for their dolls.

Yes, darn you poverty! ;0;
But, actually, I'm not all that poor. If I can maybe ask to borrow a camera from a relitive, then maybe I can join. Otherwise, I'm camera-less.
But I think holding a contest like Project runway, would be brillant. I'd join in a heatbeat, if it wasn't for the position I'm in.

Would we really have enough Photostories to warrant it's own section though? The Gallery isn't even all that busy.
On a different note I'm hoping to start the photo contest tomorrow. YAY!

Not at all. My phone is about 3 years old, which I believe is before the started putting camera's on phones. Either way, my phone doesn't have one. I like your idea, it gives those of us who work hard to dress our dolls beautifully in our own designs a bit of a spotlight. MUST BUY CAMERA SOON!!!! Aggghhhhhh, I really need to get that taken care of.

I have an idea, and I sort of got it from...DoA, but i'll post it anyway!
Our dolls could date! .___. I'm not exactly sure how it would work out, seeing as all of us are mostly scattered all over the country. But maybe if that's the case, we could RP doll dates? Or something.
This is the part that's from DoA.>> Well I was looking at BJD games, and saw the 'Perfect Match' thread, and I thought we could have fun doing it too. Basically you (or your doll, which could be more fun) fill out a little form thing and post a picture of your doll. Like this:
(This is exactly how it was on DoA...so we could change it) Name: Age: Sex: Doll model: Personality: Seeking: (Female/Male) Your idea of a perfect date:
And that's my idea.

I dunno I've heard from a lot of people that the Perfect Match thing has gotten a little crazy with people taking it way too seriously. I'd hate for that to happen here!
Though out of my boys two are dating each other, one is asexual and the other has a girlfriend... who will someday have a body. *L* So they're all out!

Disposable camera + Photo CD devolping = Entry!
It'd probably be a little expensive if you kept doing it a lot, so maybe for an elimination style contest, it really wouldn't work, because you'd have to do one each two weeks. sweatdrop
And about the dating thing... I think it might be a little over the top, from what I've seen, plus lots of dolls have SOs already... so maybe a e-pal swap (like a penpal).. a just friends thing. I don't have my doll yet, but he'll be my only doll for a while, so some friends would be really cool.

Yeah, Perfect Match isn't what it's cracked up to be. Kiry wanted something less serious, and her guy, even though he's trying to take it easy, is making it rather obvious that, yanno. *shrug* And he wasn't exactly what she was looking for even though she likes him, but i don't want to insult him by re-entering PM. Blah.
I don't think that we should discount the dating all together. I just think we should make it a little more traditional. Picture, small blurb, and then... private message whoever you're interested in. That way everyone can branch out and get a good sampling of intrests.

I definitely don't think it should be at random or anything like that. I'm sure there are some SD13 owners who wouldn't want their dolls getting paired up with 1/6 dollfies because (excuse me if this is inappropriate) that's just weird.

I have a suggestion. I got this idea from staring at bjd pics on flickr
How about we make a game called "Guess the BJD" game?
Basically we post a picture of a BJD, and we guess who his/her base is.
It doesn't necessarily have to be your bjd, unless you never mentioned the base
Then once someone guesses it right that's when one posts another picture for the guild to guess.
This is pretty impulsive so if you like the idea but want to tweak the rules a bit that's fine.
The people on the anime forum usually do this, but with anime screen shots. I just figured it could work here since it was one of the longest threads I saw on the AMC forum.
I don't think there should be any prizes, because this is just for fun.
What do you say?
