"I'll be fine .. as long as he is."

Fumbling off the disoriented creature Kalie was leaning over Torment, a steady stream of water dripping from her face onto his. Her hand frantically roaming over his chest for signs of breathing, while the other a little less then gently nudged him.

The creature rose up behind her and gently picked her up, setting her to the side. It flopped back down around Torment's body as it spoke, "Step aside Mistress. The Son of The Forest is to be well cared for." The creature seemed to close in aroudn him and seal itself around his body like a white blood cell would consume a bacteria. Moments later the creatures back exploded upwards as a jet of flame revealed Torment had awakened once more, for a moment anyhow. The creature fell away and laid limply by Torment, "The Heir to The Staff shall be fine, the Inferno Within burns brightly Mistress. The Pheonix will arise again in a few short hours."

Staring silently, Kalie briefly dipped her head in acknowledgement to the creature's words. What were a few more hours more to the days they had already spent apart?

Scooting closer, she lessened the distance between herself and Tor while sitting at a diagonal from the pained life form.

"Thank you. For everything."

((Hooray for the suckiness of Cali! Next on my list of nuclear bombardments!))

The creature slowly formed into the shape of the Ageless Entity, features marred not only by flame, but much much more. It wasn't that creature anymore, but death can do that to a person...or thing. It kept its head bowed, as if not thinking it has the privilage to meet her eyes, "It is nothing, Mistress. The Son and Heir is under my care now. My other destined half is in the mountains. Only then can I truly serve The Master and Mistress. Then I will be worthy of your thanks, Mistress."

Torment, meanwhile, was in a dreamlike state thoughts jumbled and confused. He knew who he was again, but hated what he had done. Had he been awake at this very moment, he'd probably be spewing chunks in disgust of himself, for more reason than one.

As Kalie moved closer to Tor she hesitated, the brightness within her eyes dimming as they fell lower. She couldn't place herself above a creature she barley understood herself, he was born of Torment's world.. far from her own, a part she still didn't have a clear conception of.

"Kalie would be fine, unless you prefer Mistress that much more."

It slowly shook its head, the sound of cracking and popping accompanying the motion, "Nay, Mistress. It is not a matter of preference, but respect and demand by the Goddess. I am a servant, nothing more. The names of Master and Mistress cannot be uttered by this detestable form. Such would be an abomination against Nature's Arm and Will."

"Oh."
Sighing she nodded while thinking to herself and letting out a breath of reassurance. His mother.Lifting her eyes, they wandered over Tor, the sight still bringing a smile to her face.

THe creature leaned back and supported itself with what was more or less its arms, looking out over the seas as one of the suns began to set on the horizon. Only the sound of distant eruptions and the waves fell over them for many minutes, broken finally by the creature, not looking towards her at all. "I shall leave now, Mistress should be alone with Master. The Son and Heir shouldn't be very deep in sleep. Wake him in a fitting end to this disasterous fairy tale. Give it a happy ending at least. Give what was given before between flesh and soul, but now with full feeling of the flesh. Let the bride, this once, kiss the groom." He stumbled to his feet and in a flurry of motion he seemed to slither away.

Fairy tale indeed. Supported on a lone arm, Kalie was barely visible from over the flowing dunes. Her body stretched over top his, as an opaque curtain of darkness fell around them, the silken strands loosely coiling around Torment's collar bone. As a drop of moisture fell free of Kalie's eyes, they shut. Leaning in, the familiar warmth of flesh meeting flesh became her world for a moment, then lingered as her tongue swept across his lips.

Life seemed to flow into him as the kiss ended, causing cool blue flames to roll over his body and pass over hers as well, especially when an hand raised up to mingle with her hair as he returned the kiss with a renewed vigor. His other hand found its way up around her waist, his tongue snaking out to meet hers briefly before the kiss ended. He slowly opened his eyes, but glanced to the side, even if her eyes were open he couldn't meet them. All he could do was whisper softly, "I....I'm sorry..."

"For what?"

As the whisper drew quiet, Kalie frowned and pulled back, her legs bending slightly at the knee. The hand she had hoped to catch Torment's with pausing in a tangle of hair and wedding band.

He didn't say anything at first, he merely close his eyes and lay there silently for a few moment, looking as if trying to decide how to put it, or whether or not to say anything at all. His one hand balled into a fist for a moment before he opened his eyes, a slightly saddened expression filling them, which was quickly wiped away. He let out a sigh as the first words came, "Nevermind...lets...just go home." Despite his words, he really couldn't muster the energy to move. It was there, but he had so much on his mind that his body refused to move. Akin to being tired after extreme mental activity, such as a series of tests or something similar.

With Torment's unease, Kalie's brows lifted, her stance shifting all together.

"Love.. you are home. So long as we're both there, you'll always be welcome, and all of this-" Her head briefly turned to scanned the horizon, the sea, forest, and even the distant mountains reflecting deep within her eyes. "-is your home."

Reaching out to soothe his cheek with her hand, Kalie's face smoothed to something more warm and compassionate. "What's wrong?"

Tor let out a brief sigh as her hand met his cheek, his eyes meeting hers, "What gods, useful gods that is, did I please to end up with such an angel?" He looked away again as a screen of grey passed over his eyes for a moment, "Theres nothing wrong...just feel...a bit ill." He closed his eyes as a glimmer ran under the eyelids and passed through his body with a shimmering wave, up into hers and out into the surrounding area as the beach melted away to give way to the familiarity of the privacy of their own home. The familiar sight of their own bedroom.

"All the right ones."

Smirking Kalie tipped foreward, her lips grazing past Tor's forehead. The light caress of her breath fading as she sat up, the master bedroom having left a smile on her lips.

"Maybe it's hunger, you were out for a while hun."
