Lunathiel looked up as the rain began to pour down, it stung her eyes and ran into her nose. She pulled her head back down and sneezed shaking her head, soaked mane remaining almost exactly in the same place. "Something to fry?'" She asked not quite understanding what the other had meant by that. "No! We need somplace dry!!!" She paused and shook her head again realizing that Randee must have just said that. The sound was being distorted by the rain.
She squinted out into the rain hoping to see a cave of some sort but there was no luck. All she could see was a few trees right in front of her and the cascading rain. "It's no good!" She cried turning her head back to Randee. "We need to find Leah!" She said more urgent then ever. If they were having problems she'd hate to see how the feline was doing. She had heard that cats absolutely detested water.

Randee nodded. She thought about where she was. She was in the forest, nearby the mountains. "That's it!" exclaimed Randee. "The mountains! Leah loves it there! Not to mention it has caves!" Randee turned around and rushed over to the mountains before Lunathiel could even get the chance to respond. Randee ran as fast as she could towards the mountains until she arrived at the base of Leah's favorite mountain. Randee began to walk up, but slipped on the wet rocks and dirt. Randee stumbled, but maintained her balance. She paused to take a breath after what had just happened. *I'll wait for Lunathiel,* thought Randee. *I hope she finds me okay.*

Lunathiel couldn't hear what Randee had said. All she could tell was that the older mare had an idea. She blinked and already the Zebra was pretty much out of sight, all she could see was her long tail flowing out behind her. The blue mare sighed then galloped off full tilt sending clots of dirt flying out behind her despite her soft hoove steps.
She finds Randee again a few feet above the very base of a mountain. "What's going on?!" She called trotting forward quickly hoping her voice would be heard over the storm. Going up on a mountain was not the smartest idea becasue if they got high enough there would be no shelter from the lightning that started.

"Leah should be up here!" shouted Randee as loud as she could. "And there are caves up here too! Come on, follow me up!" Randee began to continue walking up the mountain ago, taking it step by step. It wasn't too hard of a hike, but the ground was wet and slippery, creating an occassional problem for Randee. About halfway up the mountain, Randee arrived at the narrow part of the mountain path. Randee stayed close against the wall and walked very cautiously. She almost slipped, but quickly got back up against the wall. Thunder roared, scaring Randee. Randee jumped in fright, slipping off. The rocks and pebbles beneath her hooves fell as Randee leapt as far as she could onto safer ground. *I hope Lunathiel makes it across okay,* thought Randee again. She then realized she had been rushing this walk and Lunathiel may not even be following!

Lunathiel followed the zebra soquili closely testing each step before shifting her weight onto that particular hoof. In this manner she never once stumbled and she never slipped although she was falling behind Randee quickly. She narrowed her eyes and looked up the path to see where the other mare was. It appeared as though her new friend had stopped, Lunathiel was only slowing her down. "Randee!!!!"She cried finding a secure rock to stand on. "Go on ahead and find Leah!!! I'll catch up!!!"

Randee nodded, understanding Lunathiel. Randee then ran up part of the mountain until she arrived at a cave. She went inside the cave for shelter and took a breath.
Leah smirked as Randee rushed by as she hid behind a rock. Once Randee was gone, Leah sprinted down the path until she spotted Lunathiel. Leah stood a few yards in front of Lunathiel and let out a loud terrifying roar. "So, we meet again," said Leah.

She slipped a bit on the rock as the roar echoed loudly about even in the rain. She looked up and seeing the small snow cheetah above she let out a sigh of relief. "You're okay!" She cries climbing up a few steps so that she wouldn't have to strain her voice to speak. "Randee's up ahead looking for you, we have to go find her!!!" She turned her head a bit trying to figure out where the feline had come from. Everything looked really slippery and impossible to walk on but then again Leah had paws and pads while Lunathiel had only hooves.

Leah chuckled maliciously and roared at Lunathiel. "Of course I'm okay," said Leah with an evil smirk. "Randee can handle herself on her own." Leah began to walk closer towards Lunathiel, slowly, with her claws extended.

Lunathiel shifted to take on a more defensive position from the menicing feline. "I see..." She said backing away a bit well aware that the cat probably couldn't hear her. She looked around trying to find some way to stop the cat from attacking her again. The first scratch seemed to be a bit of an accident but now she seemed very serous. If she couldn't find someway to stop her she'd be forced to fight.

"Good bye, Lunathiel," said Leah as she let out one last powerful roar. Leah charged at Lunathiel as fast as she could, rushing through the narrow part of the mountain. However, Leah slipped a little, causing her to lose full balance and slipped off the side of the mountain. Leah's claws dug into a tiny ledge, so Leah was hanging off the mountain by her claws. "HELP!" screamed Leah, her claws beginning to slip. "HELP ME!"

Lunathiel flinched as the snow cheetah charged waiting for the impact. when it never came she opened her eyes and gasped as she saw the cat dangling from the edge of a cliff crying out for help. "Leah!!!" She cried bolting over skidding a bit over the rocks. She kneeled by the ledge and leaned over to look down. She could only gasp at their height. "Leah hold on!" She cried as if the cheetah had any choice. She looked about desperatly for some thing that could help.

"Lunathiel, I'm sorry!" screamed Leah, realizing this may be the end for her. She felt her claws scratching deep into the ledge as gravity weighed Leah down. She was about to slip off. Leah's eyes widened. One paw had slipped off the ledge, only one little claw was holding her up. And then, the claw let free. "No!" she screamed as Leah fell down the mountain, falling and falling...

"Leah!!!"She screamed watching that cat plumeting to the ground below. Something snapped in her and without thinking she pushed herself off the edge as well. She caught footing on a jutting rock and pushed herself off again to catch up with the falling cheetah, soon she was hovering not five inches above the cat but still she could barely see her. The rushing air mixed with the water burned her eyes and she could hardly breath. "Leah...!"She cried hoping the cat could hear her. "I'm with you!!!" She knew that it had sounded dumb but it was the only thing she could think of.

Leah turned up at the panicked Lunathiel and began to laugh. This time, it wasn't an evil laughter, but a truly friendly laughter. "You got really worried about me," said Leah, holding in her laughter. "Don't you know cat's always land on their feet?" Leah laughed some more. Sure, the fall hurt a little, but it was mainly just absorbing the shock. Other than that and a few sore muscles and an extremely fast beating heart, Leah was completely fine. "You must really care about me," said Leah, smiling up at Lunathiel, realizing that she just have made a new friend.

Lunathiel looked at the cat laying still where she had landed listening intently. Truth be told she was afraid to move, it didn't feel as though anything had been broken but she still hurt. She laughed at the cat when she said that Lunathiel must have cared. She rolled off her side and stared the cat dead in the eye with a slight smile and a shake of the head. "It's not you I care about...it's Randee." She said with a gently laugh that she stopped almost immediatly as her sides hurt. "She needs you, Leah...you understand that...right?"
