I might not be online very often in the next few weeks. Our internet service provider is having some dificultys providing the service we paid for. Plus between school and opossums I have very little free time. Please check up on scarfie and join requests. I won't be able to do that for sure. Surely this can't last for more then a month.... crying

It's ok Seffy, we'll look after things for you.

My sympathies on the internet stuff... we have a load of restrictions on ours now cos we over-used our 'unlimited' service. Grr.

That must get annoying. I know what thats like. One time it went down for 6 weeks gonk . Luckily it got fixed. My problem is that ive got an RP to run, post in forums, check MySpace for new messages etc, AND update my fanfiction. So the internet is basically what I live for whee

I am not entirely sure how much responsibility I can handle with this guild anymore..
Its my senior year of college. I'm working to try to publish my first book, as well as prepair for graduation. I am also trying to find a smaller client base to start my careeer. I have a lot more responsibility in my real life at this point and I am sure you will all agree that that tends to be more important then a hobby. Do all of you think you can deal without me untill after may? Do we need to find a replacement (if at the least temporary)? How do you (the moderators) feel about takeing charge for about a year? (really.. less)

Well, I think we'd survive without most of the captain-only functions for a year. I mean, it's just stuff like making more subforums, setting the entry fee, and promoting/demoting members... stuff which doesn't get used all that often. So I think it wouldn't be too problematic. Do you plan on checking your Gaia account every once in a while, in case there was some serious issue that we'd need to PM you about?

Good luck with the book! Since you're trained as an artist, is it going to be illustrated?

Wow, your avie's really cluttered... eek

*is the clutter monster for haloween*
Yep.. I'm makeing my first comic book with a friend of mine. She and I are both writing and illustraiting it together. Unfortunitly its going to be about 10/15 dollars a book at the current estimate. sweatdrop

I'll still be poping in occasionaly.. like once or twice a week... but its hard to check on a lot of stuff at that point. Actualy I better give you guys my e-mail. I check that every day because it also relates to my (as of yet mostly useless) Bussiness.

So you're going to try your hand as at OEL manga? Sounds like fun, even if it's hard work. Reminds me of that anime Comic Party.

You'd rather self-publish instead of trying to go through an established company?

I am self publishing through an established company. Most publishers need you to submit work, then have it aproved, and if they aprove it then they will print it. They do this because they need to make a profit off of the stuff that they print. This way I am my own backer. I am willing to take a risk on myself in order to get started as an illustraitor. Ether way I have to pay my loans back... so I might as well use them to do something. Our first run is going to be 100 books. It will be 8X11, 50 pages, and full color. I'll be updating my deviant art with samples regularly.

What is OEL manga?
Comick Party did get me excited about stuff like that.. but I was only buying indie stuff at first Untill I realized I need a plan on what I'm going to do after graduation. And then I was reading the unicorn jelly forums and the post on how Jenny published her book. And then I realized I don't have to work at halmark. And then I got more serious as an artist and I feel like I'm good enough to try it at least once.

OK, I am just madly curious now.
Keep us up on this & tell us the title & publisher, & the publication date when it comes out?
I order my comics through M&M Comics Service so I want to know what to order! xd

OEL = Original English Language manga

I didn't actually know the term, I had to look it up.

Yes, well, I hope things work out well with the manga. Putting up sample stuff on your deviant art account sounds like a good idea... nothing beats a free source of advertisement!

I'm not back I'm just checking on you guys. The new season is coming up so I figure your going all crazy.. Expect more new members when the show starts up again. I've promoted someone because you will be needing someone who can do certain things around here. I'll definitely be too busy to do much around here.
As for me my Manga is turning into my portfolio. My senior year is MUCH harder then I anticipated. Right now I am procrastinating on a philosophical summary paper about art philosophy starting with Plato and ending in Danto. whoo.. [/sarcasm] stare
