Rei landed on the docks and quickly shrouded himself with the crowd dawning a cloak to conceal his movements. He didn't want to be seen by any shinobi, but he knew that if he got to close to Karite his scent would be picked up. It probably already was.

A bit off at the docks, Touzoku caught sight of his partner within the crowd and hurried his own steps to catch up. He had reshifted his mask over his face and now donned his long, dark cloak and hood. But when he saw how cautious Rei was...well, he should be too...but, it somewhat bothered the younger ANBU. The Wind Master did say the older ANBU have an unhappy history with Kiri...

"Come on the village is this way the sooner we get out of here the better." Karite moving gracefully through the crowd not touching a soul, even though it was packed on the dock itself.

((You mean Rei, Karite. xDD))

True. Even though Kiri was a Master village...one should always be cautious. Besides, Mistress was famous for her mood changes...which was probably one of the primary reasons why the Wind Master classified this as a S-rank mission. And there's always the possibility of enemy shinobi being around. The ship was a good enough example. Stealthily, Touzoku followed Rei, easily picking out his way through the crowd. It was best to keep a low profile around here.

With a sweep of her gown Mistress boarded a ship. One look from her was all the shipmaster needed and she said curtly, "Sunagakure, please. Just drop me off at the border of the Wind country and I'll make the rest of the way myself.

With a sideways glance at Mistress so regally occupying his ship, and not intending to pay for even one nautical mile of the journey, the shipmaster looked like he was about to say something. Then he remembered that Mistress was the master of Suiton jutsu and they were surrounded by water... Giving her a stiff salute, he rushed off to make preparations.

Rykuu was the first one of the boat he was so eager to see the new world around him that was going to be his new home. When he arrived he noticed the first time around that the weather was different it was colder then he was used to but just comfortable for his skin. This was going to be paradise.

Mistress stepped off the boat back home. For a short moment, only a small moment, she closed her eyes and relaxed, letting the sharp sea spray and the cool air wash her face. This was more like it. She would never get used to the weather in Sunagakure. After that was quickly done, she glanced at Rykuu next to her.

"Well,"
she said, "Your teacher, Karite Wolvine, usually trains by the ocean. However I gave him a mission just before I left. His team may still be completing it. If you want, I can leave you to your own devices. Come see my receptionist for the house key to your new home courtesy of Kirigakure. Of course, if you want to find your teacher right away, I can send someone to look for Wolvine."

Rykuu was yet another of the lucky ones who found themselves in Mistress' good graces. But of course he had to be. Like Hatsuyuki, he possessed the power of moulding ice, and to Mistress, that was enough.

[Hehe let's say the stuff happening in Suna happened like... maybe a week RP time ago.]

Mistress gave an approving nod.

"Very well, Kobayashi," she said. "Let's head to my office. You have to be careful, you don't have a headband yet. I will do my best to suppress the genjutsu. The rest you have to do for yourself. Follow me."

And with that, she headed away from the pier. She walked confidently and resolutely now that she was back on home territory.

The afternoon sun was probably a nice balmy thing. It would warm the heart and soul of any and all that felt its rays. Even in the lan of mist, the sun was a force that couldn't be neglected or forgotten. It was still one of the major parts of the circle of life. Another part of life would be the harbor of any port town. The harbor is like the veins of any port town through which the water travels and trade acts as blood upon the vast oceans. The sun feeds the water to give it strength to power the blood as it supports the towns and villiages around the world that depend on all of this working as one. What a glorious harmony these things have.

To think that it may one day be blotted out...such a thought would send chills down the spine of anyone who would think that. To further this horror...to think that this would come from the very ocean that spawned the livelyhood of the village of mist was absolutly unthinkable. The very blood that supported this land was now the passage of its poisonious demise. There was no way for anyone to have fathomed this kind of attack. Most things the villiage might have in place as defenses wouldn't have been prepared for this either.

A tiny sail boat, owned by a fishermen of the village was the first to notice the slight discrepency that would turn into one of the darker days of Kiri. The waters had been nice and easy all day but they soon became a dead calm. A calm that was unheard of in these waters...it was like the water itself had lost all will to flow and churn. All life within the water had just seemed to be lost and with it, the waters will to move. The wind was next in its lackluster performance as it soon went from a strong breeze to a slight gust and then to nothing but staleness. The fisherman, a veteran of many years, knew that this boded ill for the waters. No sooner had he turned to begin a survailence of the horizon had his eyes met with something strange in the water. At first, it was nothing more than a few dark patches of water, dirty and debrie more likly. But with pasing time came more and more till the entire horizen was thick with dark water. It flowed towards his boat and began to pick up speed. Even as it did, his boat seemed to slow down within this muck. It was getting thicker and harder and paralyzed his boat.

He fought hard to try and free himself but it was to no avail. This grim thought filled his mind as he looked to the horizon once more to see the source of this muck. A wave, small and petit from a distance, began to grow. It was a thing of horror as its size seemed to triple litterally with each passing second. In a matter of moments, it was clear as day. A wave of mud was washing towards him and riding upon its crest was none other than the creater, the Earth Master and her hord of brain washed followers. Swept away into the oblivion that was the murky depths, the fisherman was only the first in what was sure to be a massive killing spree on the isle of Kiri.

The wave...no that is an insult. The Tsunami of mud crashed into the harbor, taking out more than just a few of the boats and planks. Even after its passengers disembarked, the wave continued inland for at least a good 5 miles. There was little in the way of a defense against such a force. Even as the defenses of Kiri scrambled to assess the damage, the army of the Earth master was already on the attack. Within moments, the docks were in flames and a battlefield that was pressing onward towards the heart of the village.

At the core of the army, a lone phycotic sat, glancing around like a hungrey animal. Her eyes were crazed as she looked for her next victim. She had already killed one she once called comrad, another wouldn't hurt.

Within a matter of moments the harbor was no more. What little was left was nothing more than splinter wood and bodies all being washed away by the murky, muddy depths of the wave this b***h rode in on. The few defenses that were able to be mobilized had already been subdued and were well on their way back towards the city to give regroup and try for a more indepth strategy. After all, this was the village of the Blood Mist, and they'd be damned if it was THEIR blood that would give it its name this day.

Of course, Rain cared little for this feeble resistance. She cared even less for those that were under her command. Of course, being that they were perfectly well trained shinobi, they were able to handle their own. She looked onto the combat with eyes of a distant gaze. She remembered the bloody baths that she had seen in this village all those years ago. Her heart raced at the thought of seeing so many bodies strewned across the ground in grand fashion.

As the momentum of her army pushed forward, she moved as well. At first, with a slow, dulled step as if she was in another world all over again. But as dreams of suffereing and the tortures she'd put the Water Master, Mistress, through, her mood shifted. The vacant look upon her face became clear. Her eyes went from a glazed look to a focused harsh thing. Her lips curled into the most sinister of grins. Her beautiful featuers, in short, quickly twisted to something that would make even a devil cry in fear. She was completly insane now and soon showed it. Her haste pushed her through the crowd of her own army. She sliced themd own as they were in her path and gave the command to use teh corpses as sheilds for incoming attacks. The faithful masses did as such and moved forward with the attack.

The horrors of war were not something new to Kiri but to see one use their own comrad as a corpse sheild unnerved a few of the shinobi defenders of Kiri. Not a lot of them but a few. Just enough to allow them to push their way through the army and move towards the main road. The phyco was in the lead now, shifting the ground before them and disabling many would be attackers and ambushes that would be set up. Nothing would prevail before this army's might, not at this time at any rate.

Taking one last moment to let the scent of salt water death seep into her mind, Rain looked back to the remains of the harbor and grinned. A few quick handsigns and the stones that gave the last bits of support to some of the structurs shifted out from under them and the harbor was gone...washed away in a moments time. Her grin renewed, the woman pointed her hand up the road. The harbor had a split in the road. One path lead to the kage's domain while the other lead to the center of town. Rainw ould take the town by storm while her army widdled down the defenses of the kages tower and whiped out what they could...or be whipped out, she was sure which yet.

To other shinobi, the harbor might be a dead end, trapped between water and the coming army. Not so to Mistress. She wasn't the master of Suiton jutsu for nothing. She looked critically at the damage and assessed the amount of money and labour required to fix it, sparing only the tiniest (if not nonexistant) drop of sympathy for the dead. Well, that was a loss of labour which would slow down the economy profusely. Mistress had been reading up, could you tell?

Anyway, she kept at eye open for Rain, although she would be aware of her progress by leading her bunshin here.

Mistress cursed as she felt her clone dissipate. The last she'd heard was that Rain was going to attack and kill more. Just great. With another Shunshin, Mistress sped right back into the heart of the village. She should have guessed that Rain was not that easy to sway, being the queen of mind control (or close enough).

'If I was a crazy b***h wanting to cause maximum damage, what would I do?'
Mistress asked herself. It took her a moment to come up with the answer, since outright destruction wasn't really her style (passive agression and if she was really ticked off clean elimination was) but that was okay since it was within the time of her travelling. Rain loved to play dirty and use her mind persuasion abilities to the limits. There was no doubt where she would strike next. With gritted teeth Mistress headed to the housing district on the other side of Kiri. Being a super ninja had its benefits like inhumane speed but that wasn't really any good when your opponent was one too.

A small steam ship chugged up to the docks and the aged whining engine ground to a halt. On the short iron mast were two flags. The top one was light blue and bore the symbol of Hidden Mist in a darker blue. The lower one was gold with the symbol of Hidden Storm in orange. Despite the fact that Hidden Storm was long gone, it was still used as the emblem for Natsu Island where this ship hailed from. Off the ship came only one passenger, Karake Takasora. He adjusted his pack and began walking up the path to the village.

User Image "Captain, this kid here wants to see you," a man with muscles the size of your head said gruffly, steering a deeply tanned young man into the captain's cabin. He'd clearly just arrived in town as he was carrying a large backpack and another duffel bag to boot. It was a bit strange, since he was obviously of gypsy stock and they didn't really travel very much, did they? Judging from the size of his bags, he'd had quite the journey too... Thomas looked at the kid, interest piqued but still slightly wary. Why, he looked exactly like Batou did, when he was young. Of course, Batou was now almost 24. Did Batou have a long lost relative that he'd never heard of? Something was definitely up.

"What's your purpose, young man?" he asked him.

User Image

"I need to talk to you," the man said, glancing at Thomas' first mate. "Alone would be preferable. I need to ask you a favour." He placed his bags down on the ground, clearly not expecting a denial as he was already make himself comfortable. "Please," he added, giving Thomas an earnest look. It's important... it's got to do with Batou."

Hearing Batou's name mentioned was all Tom needed. The similarities between the two were definitely too strong to ignore. The fact that this man knew him had to be more than coincidence. After thinking for a moment Tom was convinced that Batou didn't have any other siblings as he vaguely recalled a conversation he had with Despada, bless her soul, around 10 years ago. She'd been bemoaning her grandson's laziness and thanking the stars she didn't have any more kids to care for. Everyone she knew was dead, she'd said.

He glanced at the first mate, who nodded. "That's fine," Tom replied, suspicions forming. "But you need to hand over your weapons to Kojiro here. I could hear them clunking in your bag from a mile away."

The tension that had previously been on the man's face broke, even as his expression didn't change. Which was another major pointer for Tom actually. It was a relief to see. "Thanks..." he said as he handed his bags to First Mate Kojiro. "Thanks for trusting me. I'll explain everything when we're alone. Oh, and... maybe it might be good to bring Cassie here too. Is she around?"......

Cassie was called to the captain's cabin, and once she arrived the three of them had a discussion that lasted at least an hour. Then the man left, receiving his bags from First Mate Kojiro. He walked along the beach.
