iOggy chijinsan THE ONLY GIRL IN THE WHOLE BRASS SECTION!!! Get used to it. Our band is slightly abnormal in that respect (more girls than guys in brass sweatdrop ), but the vast majority of bands tend to have most of the girls playing woodwinds. 3nodding Your not alone...I'm the only girl in in the front row POWER TO THE THIRD CHAIR X) the fourth chair is freaked out because I was better then him and my friend, "you're a beginner!" but then again he still doesn't know his scales =D and whats funny is at one time I played better on a part then the first and second chair clarinetist....but they were having a bad day and I made it worse o_o; I don't exactly like the idea of playing infront of people or boasting---unless I'm hyper like right now biggrin hopefully I'll get into the wind ensemble next year in seventh grade ^^ has anyone heard of south pointe middle school's band or our director mr. acciani? ^^;? -miyoko

iOggy Black Trees I don't know if there is already a thread about this, but I didn't see one... As far as I know, this is an original. 3nodding Kepp talking, you cute little middle schoolers! xd (Yes, I will refer to you as little. I'm a HS senior. domokun ) I actually look like I could be in collage, thank you very much. I'm in 8th grade concert band and I am the only on in the entire 8th grade band that plays baritone horn. The sad part is there are 4 baritone players in the sevie band. I get to got to a festival Tuesday. Yay!

We don't have chairs at our school o_o; My BD said it was because she felt bad for the person that got the least chair. (she is too soft)

sixth grade. >.< Almost to seventh. Flute, piccolo, and I started alto sax a few days ago for jazz band o_o; I need to slow down...although sax is easy, this is my forth year on flute, and piccolo is basically the same as a flute..

my school is both a middle and high together but the bands are kept apart and you can only join marching band in high school......so anyway even tho theyre in the same place, there is a significant drop in the population of band people in 9th and in other grades too....the marching band pop. has dramatically decreased....we only had 2 drum majors last season!
example: class of 2008....in my english class there are like 7 former band people and 2 current band people.....well 3 if you count the guy that still plays trumpet but just out of our schools program....
so for the class of 2009 and on, a lot of us have been pushing to get people to stay in band....but its not going too well stare
wow i rambled a bit....
