Are you really going to pay money to see that? You could just wait until it starts playing on tv all the time.
You have a bootleg of the remake? I love you for screwing this movie out of ten bucks. 4laugh ....But the movie itself will still be robbing you of your time.

In the case of remakes... I now will read spoiler plot summaries, and if it sounds good in text, I'll see it when it's released on video, but otherwords, I won't. I read the summary and I believe I WILL see it when it comes out on video... because the way they escape the house sounds like the flaming staircase scene in Silent Hill 2...

i just got back from seeing this movie.... well.... maybe it was the fact that i went in with ZERO expectation or the fact that it had a small homage to one of my fave movies (whatever happend to baby jane).... but, i thought it was somewhat ok.... not the greatest remake ever, but not the worst *cough*dawn of the dead *cough* it really fell apart at the end.... very, very, VERY predictable. *shrug* oh well.... it had decent death scenes i guess. *shrug* i'm not going to rush out and buy it when it comes to dvd... but, if i was desperate and it was on tv and i only had one channel and house of wax was playing on it.... i wouldn't mind re-watching it at least once.

Isn't it obvious that the filmmakers appreciate any film that isn't the original source for the story? For crying out loud, the remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre included references to The Blair Witch Project!

For Civilization and Literature class we watched certain scenes of the original film to show the techniques of the day used in presenting this to an audience without having things thrown at them. Filming that while being blind in one eye is impressive. I need to get my hands on a copy of the Vincent Price film.
There's about as much chance of me watching this remake as there is of watching the one to Psycho. There's an Earl Pitts opening commentary in there somewhere, but I will let it go for now.

Dyath Xianna It really sucks to be a horror fan when you were raised on really crappy scifi... Hence, I thought 13 Ghosts and Ghost Ship, though not great, were decent and entertaining movies. Having clarified that, I'll probably like House of Wax, and laugh in glee, seeing Paris Hilton get what she deserves.... I love 13 ghosts....

I didnt think it was that bad , it was creative, but the villan, vincent, looked like ozzy osbourne. SHARON! oh and paris hilton's death was pretty funny too. lol
