I consider myself open-minded too. I'm struggling to find my perfect religion when the people around me just don't understand. It sucks and makes me very sad... but I hope, one day, I'll find my perfect religion. Right now... I'm in the gray.
One thing I can't stand are closed minds as well.
I enjoyed reading this topic and viewing people's beliefs. Very interesting.

samurai, you have some good ideas. I dont think I could have put that better myself. Now everyone listen, 'God' is not the highest being on teh chain, neither is Satan. There is a being higher than any of them. This being was there before God was created, I mean the origional God, the one in the old testament. This being is essentially, the mother of God. This being, in terms of power, is to god, as god is to man. I call this being the Chaos. I dont know its name, but Chaos has a good sound to it. And this being is truly evil. Its only flaw, is that it cannot interfere with our world. It can only look, like us watching a movie. If God is the director, or producer, this being is the audience it was made for. They cant interact with it, but they are more powerfull than the director could ever be.
I have recently found out that it is this being, not Lucifer, who has tainted me. It used Satan as a puppet to get to me, why? Hell if I know, Maybe I do something important in the future, and it needs me to do so. Im not sure...

I hate it with a passion, if I could, my math class would be sent to hell. there would just be an empty void where it once was.

I had been struggling with my testimony for years. I was raised as a Mormon and wanted to remain one but just had the hardest time finding faith in anything. Not just God, but an after life or any chance of me getting to Heaven no matter how I lived here on Earth.
Then in college I took a Biology class. I had never felt so inspired and enlightened in all my life. It's amazing how everything in the world works together. Every cell is so complex. Every organism is a whole world of its own, it's just beautiful. I found that studying what I believe to be God's creations brings me very close to Him because I believe each thing here on Earth is evidence of a loving creator who loves what He makes.
I'm still working on my faith but learning about how the world is made and works sure gave me the boost I needed. Many people believe religious people are shallow and hate science, believing it's an enemy to God. I believe it's something God created and uses because he loves it too.
May you all find happiness in your spiritual quests. heart

So you believe that through science, we can truly find God. Your one of the few.

Iron_Felix So you believe that through science, we can truly find God. Your one of the few. Meh, I'm not the kind of person who *seeks* for scientific proof of God. Rather, I SEE scientific evidence of Him just on my own. As an artist I understand how things can be seen in totally different ways by different people. What's seen as proof for something by one person can be seen as proof against something by another person. I feel that if I searched for scientific proof of God He wouldn't help me in my quest because He wants me to "walk by faith", or trust in my feelings. ^^ But thank you, I didn't think I was so unique, hahaha. xd

Varentill I don't believe in religion.I'm not saying not to believe in something, only that religions take it too far. Most preach they are the only Way, & it was that kind of idea that sparked the Crusades, where preasts shouted, "To kill an infidel is not murder, it is the pathway to heaven".I do believe that of all the religions I know of, Buddhism has the right principle, which is insted of worshiping a god, too worship life itself & to hold all life as sacred. i dont think that christianity is a religion. i believe its a faith; its not just about believing in God, but building a relationship with him as well. *reflects on past experiences*

I pray that you will come to know jesus christ as your savior one day, because he loves you and is waiting.... amen to that!

You seamed to have missed my point.I respect your beliefs, whatever they my be, but a religion that thinks it is the only true Way is blind indeed. Also, were you unaware that the quote I posted came from the mouths of christian priests? i'd like to see u prove that a religion that believes in One Way is blind. faith in of itself is blind and yet has benefited the human race for years. so why question it now?
