Erratic Distortia Here's a question I was asked and it has been bugging the shiz outta me. Since atheists don't believe in god, does that mean we can't sin? question ....wait, is that a serious question? Uhh...well, I wouldn't think we could since a sin is an afront to god. But we can do "bad" things, but since evil is a point of veiw, whether it is bad or not depends on who you do it to. An atheist can still have morals, but morals chnage from person to person as well........Hmmm.......anyone can jump in and help......anytime.

For an atheist, what this label 'morally wrong' would include would be judged from their own perspective. (or society's..or a panda's..I dunno)

Athelwulf At my school, upon hearing that I didn't believe in God, some dude said to me, "You're gonna go to Hell!". If I believed in Hell in the first place, I'd be vaguely concerned. stare And I'm sure that goes for the rest of y'all as well. Mhm. I remember when people say that. Ahh like this one day at school. They were having a little religious disscussion around me, asked me if I was a Christian, Catholic, etc. Here's how it went. xD
Some Girl: So Tanith are you like a Catholic or something since you're Philipino.. Me:No, I'm an Atheist.. Some Guy: You're gonna go to Hell Me: Can you prove it? Some Girl: Uhh.. Some Guy: Umm.. -silence- Me: Thought so

I remember when I told my mom I was an Atheist. My mother heavily dependent on religion. I told her I refused to go to chruch to listen to things I don't beleive in, nor worship someone I don't think exist. She was gasping for a good 5 minutes, pointing at me then started blaming my friends for my "abandoning God". Then I pointed out to her, my close friends at the time were both Christians. She fumbled somemore then accused me of being Satan's worshipper and cried running out of the house. When she came back, she said that I was a typicall rebel teenager and she was gunna fix me. eek She's not gunna quit trying to re-convert me back to Christianity till I die.

My parents don't know. We never went to church anyway, so you couldn't expect me to actually believe in the Catholic ways. I told the kids at my table and they asked what I believed in. That was a fun 10 minutes yelling at them.

Being the UrbanDictionary.com whore i am I put in athiest and got : 1. athiest Misspelling of "atheist" It's spelled "atheist", duh sweatdrop so after spelling it corectly (athEIst screw that i before E s**t on this word) i got: 2. Atheist 1. One who does not believe in any gods. There would be nothing wrong with this if most of them didn't fit the second definition. 2. Some know-it-all teenager who pretends to hate religion, but celebrates Christmas because s/he is a greedy hypocrite. blaugh hah yeah the christmas thing... well i guess i am i greedy hypocrat but believe you me I need my yearly presents. It would be hard to live without. And since Christmas was made up from the winter soulstice, I decided to make up a new name for christmas "THe you give me s**t, I'll give you s**t DAY" On to more meanings 3. Atheist a person with no faith in any diety who do not need to disprove god because there is no proof in the first place well prove that there is no god prove that there is no forty foot tall rabbit sitting on your shoulder
Well I could just post so much more crap but why not go there yourself!

Erratic Distortia Here's a question I was asked and it has been bugging the shiz outta me. Since atheists don't believe in god, does that mean we can't sin? question Oooh, that's a good question. Personally, I don't believe in the concept of sin anyway, so it's a moot point. However, assuming temporarily that sin does exist, I would think that every human would be capable of it. In fact, some Christians would argue that by our mere existence as atheists we are sinning, since not worshipping or acknowledging God could be an affront to him. As for stereotyping, once upon a time my grandmother was trying to get me to pray the rosary every day so my dad would get a job (yeah, I know ><), and the only way I could honestly tell her I couldn't do it was to say, "Er, actually Grandma...I'm an atheist." To which she replied: "You don't believe in God?! Who do you worship then, yourself?" Has anyone else encountered this? I have to assume that some priest or someone whose religious opinion she respected told her that atheists don't worship god, they worship themselves. o.O Which I do not understand at all.

Never gotten that before. Tis a new one. One girl did ask me if atheists had a church we went to.

People in general depend on worship, and assume it's impossible for someone not to worship something.

Oh well, everybody knows christmas is all about gifts anyway. Jesus' birthday... ha! Here's the atheist stereotype I hate most. When they think atheism means satanism. They think that you don't believe in god, just in the devil... Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle all the way...

People think since I am an atheist I am like uber depressed all the time and they mistake my mourning for my father (who died recently) as the absence of God.
Me: *Looks sad* Them: That's what happens when you don't believe in God
Oh and this happened during school.
Friend: Hey these guys over there wanted you to read this. *Hands me piece of paper* Paper: What's the point of living if there is no point at all. Me: Uh... wtf is this about? Friend: I don't know. They though since you were atheist you could figure it out. Me: *Storms over to the people* Listen, just cause God doesn't exist doesn't mean I find no reason to live! I'm still here am I not? What is your reason to live? Them: God/Jesus. Me: You live for God/Jesus? Them: Yeah. Me: What do they want you to do? Them:... Me: So stfu. stare
