Dark N Knight Reaver My mom took me to a show of theirs when I was 2, in 1991. It was one of those shows that was free to get in in one of those cheap clubs. Then my mom took me to Woodstock '94 where I actually met them. Kinda...
Let's see...I probably got into Green Day around 1999 or 2000. My cousin had International Superhits, so I listened to it to realize that I had heard a lot of the songs before without even knowing it. So I ended up getting the album that Christmas. That's the only one I had for a while, until I joined some message boards and found out about AI. I got that a few days after it came out. 2004 was the year I really got into Green Day. I stocked up on the older albums (I have everything but Kerplunk and Shenanigans) and started web-stalking and such. So now I've seen them twice in concert and I am probably one of the biggest fans I know.That's pretty similar to how I got in them.....First Inter. Super. Then AI, and then the rest of the albums.... My friends used to love Green Day.....but I got them sick of them.....and now...*sigh*.....I love Green Day for everybody...LOL mrgreen

I've like them since Dookie, but I'll admit I'm not all-knowing all their lyrics by heart and all that. I don't think that matters. So yah! 3nodding

I really started liking them last year, but I remember seeing "When I come around" on MTV when I was a kid.

I've been aware of them since I was.. ehh.. *does mental math* 7 or 8, which puts that around 1995-1996. I didn't really become a big fan til about 1998 or 1999.

I got into them when The AI album was released and then I started listening to their older stuff at around Xmas last year........I was born 1992, so yeah...

I've really liked them practically since I was like, 5...but I never realized it was Green Day... now I like them almost to the point of obsession... twisted twisted

I got into them once the American Idiot single came out, in grade 7. I then went to a concert of their and found they made some of my favourite songs of all time. So I guess the first concert I went to is when I really went crazy.

My parents like them so I grew up listening to them... So I'm not sure when I started liking them.

Yellie ... This isn't very fair...
Why should we say who's the biggest Green Day fan because of when you got into them..?
Oh well.
I got into them when I was seven. I'm sixteen now, so I don't know how many years that is, because, once again, I am le sucky at maths.
I don't think I'm the biggest Green Day fan. Hell, I know I'm not the biggest Green Day fan.
I could go on a mad rant and say "it's all about the music, man, not the fanbase, but frankly (haha) I couldn't really be bothered... sweatdrop i agree.... i didnt get nto green day since a couple of months ago, but since then i've gotten all the recrds and learned all about billie joe, mike, and tre. plus i listen to their music everyday..... I LOVE GREEN DAY. it doesnt matter how many posters i have or how long i've liked them.... its how MUCH i like them (which is immeasurable)

First heard them in '97. It was Good Riddance. Nimrod Era...I heard it and started liking it but then forgot the words, my sister started sining it and yeah. Every where I went I hear the words "Green Day" or "Billie Joe and Tre Cool". I didn't really bother much though. I went to the mall with my friend and I saw Dookie (2003). I was gonna buy it but checked my pockets and was dead broke (shouldn't have spent it on candy). When AI came around I asked my sister about Godd Riddance and if she could sing it again cause the voice sounded familiar. SO TA DA!!
