Harvested Sorrow She won't let you wear ANYTHING that has gun on it...? eek With all due respect, that's just ridiculous and ignorant as hell.... Well, what can I say? She's a teacher, and doesn't want me getting in trouble. Once I bought this shirt with a grenade on it for this band called One Twenty-One that came through town. I saw that it was a grenade, but I didn't really realize it until we were driving home. When my mom saw it, she decided I could never wear it anywhere, and I was so upset that we drove back to the concert and exchanged it. More about Slayer.. I was at homecoming this past Saturday, and they were playing loud rap music. Me and my friend both weren't dancing, so I leaned over and said, "I'm not a dancer. More of a swayer." And they replied with, "What? You're going to dance to Slayer? Cool." That's how loud the rap music was. Pretty sad. Although they did play Queen and Micheal Jackson. It was an '80s themed dance, after all.

She doesn't want you to get into trouble, that's understandable... but having something with "gun" on it doesn't mean you'll get into trouble. Hell, at my school people get by with those t-shirts that read "Sniper, don't try to run, you'll only die tired." xd Of course, one moron here also got by with a marijuna leaf t-shirt, so they aren't always that strict, even though they are most of the time...>_> <_<

Especially with guys. No piercings at all, hair MUST be a certain length, and faces MUST be clean shaven, even though teachers can have huge beards or mustaches if they want...

I've two interesting things to say today
1) I just got the vinyl reissue of Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap blaugh (unfortunatly our turntable is warped so i can't listen to it)
2) I saw the most horrific thing at hot topic (i was there because my kid brother was going "goth" for halloween) Metallica/SpongeBob SquarePants T-shirt. What the hell happened to Metallica? Have they lost all their dignity? And people tell me i'm crazy for saying SpongBob is the anti-christ. stare

I've seen that shirt. I would like a shirt with animated Metallica members, but definitely not one with a yellow absorbent square on it. I HATE spongebob. No way am I capitalizing that name.
Anyways, the school isn't as strict as my mom. My friend wears a GnR shirt all the time, along with the 8th grade poser girls who only wear GnR shirts. And they think they're so awesome. Anyways, they never get in trouble. However, once my friend had a patch on her jacket for the Sex Pistols, and a teacher did make her take it off.

So, I guess your mom is just paranoid, then? And something tells me that it was the "Sex" part that caused her to tell her to remove it, not the "Pistols" part... xp

Probably. Or maybe the combination.
The same friend wore the patch again the other day. She had been talking to the principal earlier, and she didn't notice the patch. When another teacher said "Hey, you need to take that off" she said "The principal said it was okay" and the other teacher gave in. It was like a half lie.
I'm surprised my mom lets me wear my Jim Morrison shirt to school.. It shows his nipples.
