Twitch. Flick. Maggie slowly returned from the world of dreams and yawned. The teenage mare opened her eyes slowly before lifting her head and looking around. She spotted Saphire and smiled. "Good morning Sapphire." she said, her voice a bit quiet from sleepyness.

As she waited for the young colt to respond, she looked around the herd grounds again. Part of them were hidden by the trees; trees that held comfort and warriness; shelter and danger. Her brother Nova had been scoping out the forest now to learn it secrets. She swore he was going to turn into a forest creature if he stayed there; or turn into a tree. Whichever came first. But she also knew that his knowledge of the forest would be vital to them when the winter snows hit, and the food was scarce. Maybe that's why their father let him stay there so much, because they would be in need of that knowledge. Maybe it wasn't so bad that he was away from the herd as much as he was. And yet....
Isis sighed softly to herself. She missed her brother many times. Especially with Flare gone, she didn't really have much family to interact with, since she didn't have any brothers and sisters much anymore. Aqua, she wasn't even sure was part of the herd anymore. She was following around some angel stallion, who was dragging her farther away from the herd, though from what she could tell, he didn't have a herd of his own to go back to. So why was he dragging her away from the one she had? She was protected here; she was loved. He didn't need to drag her away from that. Though, on a side note, he was kinda cute. A little stuck up from what she'd heard, but cute.
She also knew at some point that SunDancer was going to leave to form his own herd, and probably take Andias with him. Which, she was going to miss her winged friend, and fellow girl. Even though Andias was not fully grown yet, she loved her like a sister, and really didn't want to see the day that she left. Though, her children would be cute. She shorted in mirth at the little red rocks that would be bounding around. SD would sure have his hands full. That brought up another Mare; Tala. The one Nova had found in the forest. She saw the way he looked at her, and Isis kinda had to agree with his choice. She had never found anything wrong with Tala, and probably never would. And the fact that she kept seeking Nova out.... She couldn't help but grin at the prospect of the beautiful neices and nephews that that joining would create.
Crimson had his hands full with his children. They now had legs, and were running around. Much harder to keep track of then rocks that wiggled their ears and wiggled about. As rocks at least, they left noticable trails. foals though, had small feet, and made it hard to track them trough grass, since they didn't flatten much with their small feet. She had watched the youngsters running circles around their father the other day, until Gabriella had told them to stop, but it was a little late for Crimson. The poor stallion. THose were going to grow up to be great kids though. Though, the thought of children caused her own prospects to come to mind....
Which she quickly shook clear. She shouldn't be thinking about things like that at the moment. She was supposed to be watching the herd; well, what was left of it anyway. She had sent Nova off to their father, and was supposed to follow the next day to go down to the ranch. Which would mean today. But she wanted to stand here a little bit longer, and just enjoy the morning. The clouds were growing in both size and intensity, and she didn't like the thought of crossing some of those gullies with the threat of rain. It might not be trouble for the older horses, but the younger ones, she worried about. Well, guess it was time to see what those young legs could do. In a moment. Just a few more moments. The sun had just broken over the peaks, spilling over her and caressing her with it's silky warm rays. She closed her eyes for a moment; enjoying the feeling. If there were any way, she would claim it as her own sun. She had seen it rise every morning, and she had seen it put to bed. It was her best friend, her child, and her worst enemy all wrapped into one. And though sometimes she cursed those rays, in the morning, they were a blessing; warming her bones from the chilly night she had spent standing; watching the herd to make sure that nothing happened to them while they slept.
((Well, we're over at the herd grounds Nata, I think. But we're moving to the ranch. Or I could find Nova and bring him in. *goes to find his owner* Actually, where is everyone? xd ))

((@.@ *faints* So...long))
Sapphire's ears flicked around as he heard Maggie stir from her sleep. "Good morning Maggie", he said smiling. "Did you sleep well?", he asked, walking over to her.

She was still waititng for the colt to answer. Though, it appeared, after his answer, the herd would be moving out. She didn't want to wait until the sun got too high in the sky before they moved. She wanted to be able to rest them at the hotest part of the day, especially since this was really the first journey like this for those with the young legs.

Cobin walked down the trail, wondering if he was going in the direction. He hadn't ever been to Mirage's herd grounds. Once he saw the many horses, he whinied happily.

Isis turned when she saw another colt walking towards her. Wow she thought to herself. I seem to be attracting the little ones right and left. At this rate, I may not have to have my own children. She snorted at the comment. She didn't recognize this little one either. She wondered what parents would let their foals run away like these two had. She winnied back to the colt.

Cobin looked up on the hill ware a mare had whinied to him. "I don't know who she is either." Cobin said to himself. He trotted up to the mare, smiling. "Hello ma'am." He said, happy that he had found someone. "This..this is Mirage's herd, right?"

Cobin looked down, knowing that she probably would run him out of the herd if he told her. "I..I'd rather not day..." He said, looking back up at her.

Fair enough, she replied. Looking back at the herd for a moment, she grinned. Where you thinking of joining or something young one? She thought for a moment. Actually, what is your name? I'm sure you don't like me calling you 'young one' all the time.

Cobin stuck his tounge back at him and poked him with his ear, as they had done when they were rocks. "Meanie." He said, smiling.
