"Exactly? I'm not sure how it all works, but the card attacked me for trying to activate it." Well, sort of. "I already have an element card, so, it rejected me, so to speak." None of the cards were exactly fail safe, and it was possible that they could show their powers to an unknown before they were properly sealed, but, basically it found itself incompatible with her.
"I guess you could say this is either some really strange dream or an even more whacked out reality, it's hard to keep from pinching myself sometimes." she said nonchalantly.

stare uh huh... right... next you'll be telling me that Teach is some kind of wizard and my brother's an angel. look, i have to get back to work now.. so... um... bye... ::her rant fizzled out before it could begin as her mind failed to come up with a LOGICAL explanation of what just happened. carefully avoiding picking the card back up, she skates away a few steps::

The girl sighed and looked at the card, not very keen on picking it up herself. Of course, she didn't want to be swallowed into eternal darkness by a card that decided it didn't like it. Fire could only counter it so much. "Well, who is your Teach?" Not that she planned on telling her whoever it was happened to be a wizard or something, but it was making conversation as she crouched down and poked at the card.

::having kept her gaze suspsiously on the card, she shrugs:: he's my teach... just some elder that lives down the road from me. i've been bugging him since i was little... ::frowns:: um... i THINK one of my brothers called him Li-kun once... i've always just called him Teach.
::nearly falls out of her pocket:: L....Li?! as in.... Li Saoyran(sp?)?!
::blinks:: yeah, sure, that sounds right

Catching Pyralis and holding him up, she frowned at him a little bit. "The name sounds familiar..." She also felt a sudden, unexpected and completely unbidden feeling in her gut about this Li person. It hurt a little bit and for some inexplicable reason she felt angry. "Who is it Pyralis?"

"Oh." she blinked a few times and then looked up at the girl, straightening and slipping Pyralis carefully back into her pocket. "Well, guess your teach really is sort of a wizard. Don't know about your brother though." She shrugged, like this sort of information came to her everyday or something and that it was no big deal at all.

Biting her bottom lip, she frowned and tried to figure out just what needed to be done to get her to believe. "Look, humor me on this. Take me to your master, okay? If he doesn't confirm what I'm saying I'll leave you alone." Hopefully this would work. Otherwise, well, she would have a card that would try to consume her in darkness everytime she touched it... She'd have to carry it with a pair of tongs or something.

She shrugged her shoulders a little bit. "That's cool with me." And of course Pyralis didn't have to walk so he couldn't really complain much about what his mistress did with her own legs at the very least. Not to mention he was always telling her that exercise was good when she wasn't practicing her sword and martial art techniques.

Rem shrugged. "They've been saying that since the first word that came out of my mouth." Which happened to be p***s... God only knows where she learned it from but she'd uttered it pretty early in life and horrified her parents. For a long time they would just stop conversation anytime she wandered into the room and just started talking to her instead to avoid her picking up any weird words. They gave up when she turned five and basically proved she could hear them before she got into the room.

::chuckles:: you know, if you weren't insane, i'd say we should be friends... eh, what the heck, why not? my brothers are always telling me i need more female friends for some reason ::couldn't possibly have anything to do with the fact that at the moment all of her friends are male::
