"You mean invite him properly?" She considered this, head tilted to one side like a curious bird. She bit her lower lip. Her hands moved to clasp in front of her. "I... Suppose I could. The Captain has given me leave to have company whenever I like."

"Er..well yeah...invite him properly." Hadrian agreed, and added hesitantly, "You could maybe also tell him that Captain Rabik could use some cheering up?"

"I could tell him that. Dr. Beckham is a very nice man and smiles a lot." Suddenly, she smiled herself, sheepish and lopsided. "Like you."

The older feien's smile grew, automatically, to match when Galatea smiled.
"If he's very nice, then he would probably be very happy to know that you wanted him to visit." He said warmly, "I know I would be."

"But I always want you to visit," Galatea responded immediately, cheeks gone pink at her boldness. "You have an open invitation to my home forever, Hadrian."

The fire feien proved his point by looking just exactly as very happy as he said he'd be. In fact he practically glowed. "Really?!" Of course, he was't the most ready witted fellow....

"Of course." Galatea nodded firmly and reached out to touch his hand lightly. Almost immediately, she drew away again but the smile remained. "I would not say it if I did not mean it. Lying is not the sort of thing you should ever do to your friends."

Hadrian found he didn't have much of a way to explain his exclaimation of disbelief, other then 'some people say things just to be nice but don't really mean them'. "Oh, I didn't mean that I thought you didn't mean it...I was just surprised." He said sheepishly, smiling down at his feet.

On impulse, she threw her arms around him again for a quick, fierce hug. "That is because you are a very good person and don't expect people to like you as much as we do." Drawing back, she frowned a bit as if working out what she just said. "At least I believe that is how the theory goes. I read it in a book somewhere."

Hadrian rocked, slightly, at the force of the unexpected hug - not that he was complaining. He was entirely confused as to how no expecting people to like him made him a very good person, though. Maybe something to do with being humble? Although he wasn't sure being humble and not expecting people to like you as much as they do was the same thing. "Well...I'm glad you like me as much as you do." He said, a bit slowly as if he was trying to remember how she had put it so he could repeat it.

Hadrian could imagine such a thing, but it made him feel awefully warm to have Galatea say she couldn't imagine it anyway. He might have been blushing very slightly, it was hard to tell under his darker skin. "Thanks..."

"And thank you." Reaching up, Galatea pushed back her heavy fall of bangs and smiled up at him, lop-sided, once more. She was noticeably more relaxed and happier than when she had appeared at his door. "I feel so much better now," she explained. "You are such a good listener."

Hadrian thought that listening seemed like a pretty easy thing to do, it was amazing that something so simple helped so much. "Good, I'm glad you're feeling better." He said vehemently, smiling broadly down at her. She had seemed really upset when she arrived, he was very glad to see her cheering up.

"You always make me feel better," she admitted shyly. "I don't know why or how but you do. You are one of the nicest things on Gaia."
