ok people so this is really really bugging me now i really really wanna find out if my family is cathlic or jewish. these are my findings
My last name has like 5 jewish things well really 4 but oh well.
1.Blumstein-yiddish or hebrew for Flower Stone
2.Leon Blum-The first Jewish French Prime Minister
3.Bluma-Yiddish Female name meaning Flower
4. ^.^ the not so official one Rebecca Blum from the o.c she was a jewish character ^^
5. The Modern Othodox synagogue that i attended last saturday has liek 4-10 people with the name Bloom which is how my name blum is said. It is said like Bloom only not spelt that way. o.0

My family came over right at the end of the 1800's which was right when the whole national socialist thing was really starting to swing into action.
The rabbi said the only foresure way to know was to go to either the graves of the first immagrants over to the u.s. Go find their graces in Iowa and look at their stones to see if they have a star of david. Or I could go back even farther to the fmailys town in german.
