((Cry isn't sure whether he's allowed to join the RP before receiving journal/cert, so yell at me if otherwise or something.))

"Do I have to?" Caden complained loudly. He dragged his feet and tried to walk as slowly as possible, but the firm hand tugging him along by the paw refused to slow to accomadate for his lagging, so he stumbled. He huffed and fluffed his mane, stubbornly refusing to move forwards at a faster pace, yet trying to stay on his feet, because stumbling and falling was beneath him.

"Yes you do." came the firm reply. "You spend way too much time indoors lounging around on the couch and sleeping. A healthy young man your age need fresh air, sunshine, and plenty of excercise." She didn't bother adding that at his age, it was absoulutely crucial that he be properly socialized in order to fit in with group norms when he got older, and that good interpersonal skills developed now would save him a lot of trouble when he hit pueberty. Not only that, but she needed to take her rats for a little change of scenery as well to test a theory on learning. With their cages under one arm and Cadentau's wrist in the other, she had forcefully dragged him out the door, down three flights of stairs, across the street, and to a local park. She gave him a little shove towards the other kids that were already gathered there, watching to make sure he didn't wander off and take a nap before she could take her rats out.

User ImageCody's ear flicked from the tree he was counting on. There was a new kid here- he'd never heard that voice before. Of course it was just his luck that he was it. If he turned to see he'd loose count. "Tootin' tarnation..." he muttered, looking down to his fingers. "..uhh...Five... n' six-"

He took a few steps forwards, then looked over his shoulder to see if Mom was still paying attention. To his dissapointment, she was tapping her foot with her arms crossed over her chest and staring pointedly. Cadentau let out a heavy sigh. It looked like he was going to have to go play with the other kids, or he'd be racing J-group #6, a high-hurdles rat affectionately dubbed "Sleuth" up the stairs for his TV rights.

He spotted Cody and a puzzled look slid onto his feline features. That kid looked rather odd. He was brown and splotchy, and had things sticking up out of his head, and he smelled...he smelled...Cadentau opened his mouth and sniffed deeply. He smelled..edible? The lionboy swiped his tongue over his lips before deciding that he wasn't hungry right then anyway. It looked like too much trouble.

Caden continued at his slow lesiurly pace right up to Cody. He cocked his head tot he side and asked innocently, "Hey, wot'cha playin'?"

"Thank you. Perhaps we'll meet you again?" Kanth smiled warmly, before drawing Medusa up into her arms and moving to leave. "Tell everyone I'm sorry? I don't mean to ruin the game for you all."

Medusa pouted, but understood a little. And whatever Kanth said, went. Her eyes did wander, however, to the newcomer that arrived, lingering on the lion rather curiously.

Things happened rather suddenly. The little kid suddenly realized they weren't moving and then jellyfish had to go and now someone else was coming up to the group. For a moment the luna moth hesitated, glancing at Indigo. Were they going to stop the game again?

"Uh..." Aysel managed to get out before the new kid started to talk. Maybe hide 'n seek wasn't the best game to be playing today. Still self-consious the luna moth looked down at her feet before shuffling a few more steps towards the benches. Still uncertain she watched the bull boy, checking to see if he was still counting.

((Poor Cody.... All these interruptions.))

((Indeed, poor kid. xd ))

Aysel wasn't the only one confused by the sudden dogpile of events. Indigo looked fairly flustered herself, her antennae drooping, then perking again as another kid and his mom walked into the park. Hey, he looked--really fluffy. "Ooo," Indigo said, forgetting momentarily about the game of hide-and-go-seek. Her attention snapped to Kanth, though, as the woman spoke up. "Aww! S'okay! Maybe next time we can meet at the lake or something?"

She offered Medusa a last little wave with one of her lowers, before creeping toward Caden mock-stealthily. And then--putting all four of her hands in his mane and kneading it. "Your hair is so fluffy~!" she trilled as she did so. Social norms? What social norms?

Citrine hadn't forgotten about the hide-and-go-seek, though. She too offered Medusa a wave and a cordial, "b'bye," before turning to look at Cody again. Judging from how far he'd gotten in counting, she'd have plenty of time to hide. Not to mention helping the girl like-but-not-like her partner find a place to hide. The copper wyrmling heaved herself to her feet, padding over to tug gently on one of Aysel's sleeves, before pointing over to another set of benches with their back to a hedge. "Overrrr t'herre," she explained, before heading that way with a flick of her tail.

Caden flicked an ear at the footsteps behind him, but didn't pay any attention to them until.."Nyarough!" Underneath his lazy demeanor, he was actually quite fit (courtesy patially of Wolfie and partially of his DNA). He leapt into the air, eyes wide and limbs flailing, with a sound midway between a yowl and a scream caught in his throat. What the heck was that?! He put a hand to his chest to still his racing heart, while he warded off any further attack with the other arm and peered behind him for whatever had accosted him.

The girl was a bit odd looking, and obviously older than him. She had purple skin and was covered in yellow spots? And she had four arms. What was up with that? And what were those fuzzy yellow things? To top things off, she had the weirdest (and loudest) pair of glasses he had ever seen. She didn't smell edible, like the boy with pointy things on his head, but hey, it had to count for something? The lionboy perked his ears and padded up to her, with his hands clasped together under his chin and put on the cutest expression possible. "Do you really think I'm fluffy?" Caden chirped in the sweetest voice he could muster as he gazed hopefully up at her, hoping she would take the bait.

The dragon, whom Aysel had actually managed to blank out of her mind in the confusion, tugged on her dress's sleeve. "'kay," she said quietly, one lower hand knotting in her dress. Following the dragon, Aysel crept toward the benches, keeping an eye and ear on the counter.

"Where?" the luna moth asked Citrine. If they hid under the benches they'd still be easy to see, same with just hiding behind the bushes. Maybe next time they played hide and seek everyone could play at someone's house. Nodding to herself, Aysel glanced at the copper dragon. It was sod pretty!

((@@ *is confused* I think you're mixing up Indigo and Aysel. One's purple with four arms and one's green with four arms. Ohh... Think of how interesting jump rope could get with them as twirlers!))

User Image"N Seven...n...." His ear rotated back as the sound of someone approached announced the lion boy long before his question did. What number was he on again? "Damnation an' flamin' cowpies..." He swore, turning around angerly to size the lion boy up. Damnit he'd never get to thirty! ...Or was he counting higher? "Can'tcha see I'm countin'? It's hide n' find." He snorted, folding his arms over his chest. He didn't look so tough... maybe he should teach him a lesson for interrupting.

A devilish smirk slowly made its way onto his lips, even as the other girl came up from behind the lion boy to complement his...yes fluffy, hair Cody was giving him a second look over. He was a cattin' thing like Keanu but smaller. Younger than him at least. He could take 'em.

While Indigo wasn't (yet) too big on boys, especially not boys way younger than her, she had a lot of room in her heart for fluffy things. The yowl made her antennae perk straight up and she yanked her hands back, staring at Caden in mild alarm. When he didn't bite or scratch her, though, she quickly relaxed--and smiled enormously at the lion-kid. "Uh-huh! Fluffy and soft and adorable~," she crooned. Bait? She took it hook, line, and sinker.

Citrine glanced back over her shoulder at the sounds of Cody getting flustered--and rumbled amusement low in her throat. What was there to worry about with her proposed hiding spot? Cody probably wasn't even going to finish counting, let alone trying to find them. She did accede to the moth's concerns, though, and beckoned with a forepaw as she veered away from the bench and into the bushes. Surprisingly, she disappeared entirely after a moment--and the "vanishing act" was followed shortly by a dragon-sized thump and an amused chuff.

Her secret? There was a dry creekbed on the other side of the bench, its walls just high enough to hide a small copper dragon--or a luna mouth.

Aysel followed the copper dragon into the bushes, pausing to carefully push the branches away. Mommy warned her to be careful of her skin. With a wince, Aysel realized why. The cacoon was fairly easy to rip and when it did, it hurt.

With a jump, Aysel landed next to the dragon. "Do you think he's going to start counting again?" She asked Citrine.

He smiled back at Indigo and purred loudly, wrapping his short arms around her leg, the highest part of her he could reach and enveloping it in what was universally understood to be a hug. Excellent! With that kind of reaction, he had definately won her over with his cuteness. Now all that was left was to do a little prodding to cement the deal and he would have another person to play with him, and maybe even bring him food. "Caden is fluffy!" he exclaimed and purred louder, waiting to be petted and spoiled.

User ImageCody snorted around his nosering, glaring daggers down at the little lion boy, "Fluffy's gonna be a tanned hide rug fer my bedroom if ya make me looes count again, it's a serious game, kid, best be scamperin' a'fore I get too mad."

He turned and put his arms back on the tree, closing his eyes. "Alright... One- n', Two- n', Three- 'n, Four-" He began once more, snapping his tail behind him to further display his foul mood towards the fluff head.

Aysel peeked over the small trench, pushing aside branches. "I think we're still continueing with the game," she informed Citrine, answering her own question from earlier. Settling back down, Aysel stared at Citrine. "Uhh..." Aysel muttered quietly not knowing what to say.

Caden glanced at Cody and slapped his tail on the ground dismissively, not feeling particularly threatened. He wasn't going to become anyone's rug as long as Mom had anything to say about it, and a quick glance towards the park benches told him the Wolfie was definately watching. Back to the task at hand, which was charming Indigo. He stood up on his tiptoes and giggled sweetly as he nuzzled his fluffy head against her like a cat.
