Faeruithir Whoooooaaa now......in exactly what way did swarm armies become more powerful and spell doom for good ol' Muegan Ra? Well because I play imperial guard I think I have a few ways that the new rules make my guys more effective. 1. the new rules allow my chimeras to move and fire all weapons in the same turn. This makes my chimeras moving walls of fire and this added mobility is a great thing for the Imperial guard commander. 2.Since you can no longer pick out my advisors I can soup up my command squad into your worst nightmare with several powerfists and force weapons. And for the guard commanders who needed to be frugal about the estra troops they brought in their command squad They can really get everything they want. I have more but right now is Dubyamn's bed time.

hmmmmmmmm, well the chimera thing doesn't bother me cause it still only moves 12 inches and has realativly weak guns compared to the rest of the IG's tanks, but what is slightly concerning is that it would appear that you get alot more powerfists in the command squad. powerfists are never a good thing when your on the recieving end sweatdrop

Because every 5 that you are outnumbered by now counts as an extra wound on the squad outnumbered wth no save at all.

I agree with all that, it does seem a little outlandish. But I will say this; I know that mosterous creatures count as 10 models when determining if your outnumbered or not, and if I'm correct there are alot more monsterous creatures in the game now, like the dreadnought and his equivilants (*coughwraithlordcough*). still, that doesn't seem like it evens it out very much. confused

Yes, Monstrous Creatures count as 10 models and Independant Characters count as 5. Though Dreadnought's are not counts as Monstrous Creatures as of my knowledge. Also the guess range on guess range weapons hass been taken out. Now you just roll the scatter dice.

They mentioned it in the September White Dwarf when they were battle testing some of the new rules.
