U'yosi sighed inwardly, but smiled as Asa'nunu had acceded to his request. Also lying stertched outupon the grass, he watched his two offspring with a gentle yet tolerant smile. As dusk settled across the savannah, he shrewdly noted that the herd of impala had drifted westward since their flight from the river's edge, and he hauled himself to his feet.
"Adu'ladi," he said in his deep quiet voice, "We should depart now, if you wish it. The young ones must stay here."

Asegi's head perked up as he heard his father speak. His dark eyes peered around, dusk had settled itself over the plain, a nice perfect time for hunting. Asegi grinned, finally some food! He flipped up from his upside down position and took a few short bounds to his father. He nuzzled his fathers big leg with his head,
"Good luck! Bring back a big, juicy one!"
He let his head lean on his fathers leg and his eyes wandered over to his mother. He gawked at her lovingly, she looked so royal just laying there as the sun's last rays fell upon her white pelt. His tailed twitched about and he smiled happily.

A black shadow cast over the land as a crow flew over them, it then stopped before landing on a tree and looking at the creatures that covered the land.
"Hmmm....only cubs....yet some are old....I will stop here before continuing"
The crow then started to preen herself softly as she looked around.

The white cubs' dark eyes drift from his beloved mother up to the sky. He squints as he tries to make out the source of a small looming shadow. He follows the creature until it lands in a tree. A black bird, he had never seen one of these before, what the heck was it? ASegi pushed himself away from his father and slowly padded to the tree and sat down at its base, peering up at the large bird that sat in it.

ASegi pushed himself away from his father and slowly padded to the tree and sat down at its base, peering up at the large bird that sat in it. The crow sighed before looking down at the cub, her head twitched curiously as her black beady eyes looked at him. Her long beak snapped slightly as she spoke. "Yes?....what is it young one?"

Asegi was quite taken a back by this forgein beast speaking, if some thing wasn't as smart as lion, it couldn't have any sort of language... Could it? Judging by this bird, maybe it could. It scared Asegi quite a bit but he had to be tough, if his mother was to look over and see him cowering because of a bird, well lets just say Asegi would never live it down. His head tilted and his soft maw opened to speak,
"What are you bird?"

Dagi Asegi was quite taken a back by this forgein beast speaking, if some thing wasn't as smart as lion, it couldn't have any sort of language... Could it? Judging by this bird, maybe it could. It scared Asegi quite a bit but he had to be tough, if his mother was to look over and see him cowering because of a bird, well lets just say Asegi would never live it down. His head tilted and his soft maw opened to speak,
"What are you bird?" The crow looked at him before laughing slightly, her mocking caw sounding everywhere before she hopped of the branch and landed next to the cub, her beady eye looking right into his huge one. "I be a crow child...I'm on my way to the dessert...but old wings need rest too!" The crow then gently picked at her feathers delicatley, before turning back to him and noticing him cowering a little. "What's the matter child?...you look liek you just saw a ghost?"

Asegi took a hop back when the crow hopped down, who knows what strange beasts like these can do! Asegi had to be careful, what if it decided to attack? He'd fight back, yeah that's it!
"A crow? Where you from?"
His ears flattened as the bird cawed, it was a new and odd sound. He stood tall as he heard the crows witty coment,
"You mind you own business bird!" He then settled down, "There ain't much in the desert, dunno why you would want to go there..... You have a name bird?"

Dagi Asegi took a hop back when the crow hopped down, who knows what strange beasts like these can do! Asegi had to be careful, what if it decided to attack? He'd fight back, yeah that's it!

His ears flattened as the bird cawed, it was a new and odd sound. He stood tall as he heard the crows witty coment,
"You mind you own business bird!" He then settled down, "There ain't much in the desert, dunno why you would want to go there..... You have a name bird?" The crow held her head high before preening herself again and looking at the cub, she then roleld her eyes, this cub was very rude, although he was young. She hopped closer to the young one. "I am Chakavu...and you are a rude little whelp if youi ask me!" She cawed again before flying up to the branch and landing on it. "And I'm from the desert!"

A low rumble of a growl sounded from Asegi's throat, who was this bird to accuse him of being rude! His dark eyes narrowed on her as she fluttered up to the safety of a high branch. The young cub nodded, that's where the bird belong, in the tree, and it was a good thing for if she wasn't up there he would have pounced on her and snapped that crows neck, just to show his mom he could, and to shut the smart mouthed bird up as well.
"What kind of bird lives in the desert? Even the vultures rarely hang around there..."

The old crow sighed again, remembering her mission as she preened herself once more, remembering her young friend in the pridelands. "Although by that growl...I doubt you would've given me pity would you?"

((O.o uh... what? xd )) The crow cawed softly before hopping down infront of the cub once more, preening herself, she then started to circle him slowly on the ground. She noticed his markings and thought for a second, she then smiled and chuckled. "I see...your the son of the wolf clan aren't you?"

He grinned, being very pround of this fact. His eyes followed the crow's to his tattoos, the ones he was marked with at birth, he had no clue on what they meant just yet but he liked them.

He grinned, being very pround of this fact. His eyes followed the crow's to his tattoos, the ones he was marked with at birth, he had no clue on what they meant just yet but he liked them. The crow nodded and chuckled again as she took great detail in looking over him, she then smiled softly at him before hopping infront of him. "I thought my old eyes would never see another one of your pride again...much less a member of the clan...and such handsome markings....you look just like your mother..." She smiled softly before looking at the young cub over again, she was like a tailor checking the details before making a fine suit for a wealthy customer.
