As Hotaru watch Mayumi get off stage, she walked towards her. "You were great, Ai! I never knew you could sing so well." Hotaru said to Mayumi. Just then, she heard someone calling for her. "Ah, I got to go over to that drunken man over there." She said pointing behind her. "Good luck on your next performance." She said as she walked over to the drunken man.
"What took you so long? I have been waiting here for five minutes calling your name." The drunken man told Hotaru. "Now I want a bottle of beer." He ordered as he began to tip in his seat.
"Okay, so one bottle of beer. Anything else that you would like?" Hotaru asked as she jolted down the order. The drunken man shook his head. She walked back to the bar and told Joe the order.
"Here you go, one order of a bottle of beer." Joe said handing the bottle to Hotaru. "Don't mind them, they won't even remember what happen to them when they wake up tomorrow."
"Oh yeah, they are going to get a major hangover tomorrow." Hotaru walked back to the drunken man to give him his bottle of beer.

I feel really sleepy.
Kai blinked twice, staring at the ceiling of the tavern. Despite the commotion of the others, he felt no need to join. What with the waitresses and the manner of the most of the people here, he was thoroughly discouraged with socializing with anyone.
He wasn't used to places like this, anyway.
Stifling a yawn, he took to staring blankly at the stage until someone stopped in front of him. He blew his hair out of his eyes.

As she waited, she kept her head down scared of the people that would occasionally stare at her. [Just don't stare at you back...They'll think you're more of a freak!] she nervously thought.
She started to shiver not only out of fear, but out of being cold mostly. [You can wait until the soup's here...] she eagerly thought, trying to keep her shivers to herself.
She always feared the tavern since her mother had told her stories about young girls like her being kidnapped and raped, then sold into slavery. And if wasn't for her father, who just happened to be there in time to save her mother from such a fate. Or that's how the story went.
Lily sneezed a few more times before her soup actually appeared, since her ginger ale had appeared early.
"There you go, ma'am. One pea soup!" the busty waitress said. This time it was a different one then from the one before.
"Thank you." she said in gratitude and started to reach for the spoon when she noticed the waitress still standing there. "Umm...is there anything else?" she asked nervously.
"That will be 3 pieces of silver." as she held out her hand eagerly.
Lily stopped reaching for the spoon and instead grabbed her glove and got out 2 pieces of gold. "Will this cover it?"
The waitress's eyes were pretty much bugged out when she saw the two gold being handed to HER, for a NON sexual act! Needless she was in shock.
Lily, thinking her silence is not satisfactory, added another piece of gold. "H-How about this?" asking her, still avoiding eye contact.
The waitress shock her head. "No no! Two pieces is generous enough!" as she eagerly swiped the gold pieces from the girl's hand. She ran over to her co-workers to tell her about Lily's generous pay and tip.
Lily blinked out of confusion. [Have these people seen gold pieces before?]
She was always surrounded by gold pieces, but mostly silver pieces. She would be described as middle class in the modern world.
Lily shrugged it off and started to eat her pea soup. Sure it was bitter and yet sweet, she ate it heartily. [This is about as good as Mother's soup!]
Then she saw a young man lean back to blow the pesky bangs. She started to blush again, thinking about the young man across the street from her shop. She sighed as she stared at her pea soup. She knew that the bar was going nuts with the new girls on their new shifts, nor did she even care.
She sighed sadly, and ended up playing with her soup and seldomly drinking her ginger ale.

Mayumi breathed out deeply. "Thanks, Hotaru. You should get back to work now."
Mayumi went into the bathroom and stared into the mirror. Her faced was flushed form exhaustion and excitement. Still, she had to admit that she looked beautiful, if not a little scary.
Slowly, she walked out of the bathroom and peeked into the bar. Rowdy once more. It seemed the only time there wasn't drunken fistfights and molestation going on was when she was singing.
She walked over to the bar and sat down, trying not to draw attention to herself. She snapped her fingers at once of the bartenders.
"Hey, Lou! A blueberry milkshake!" she called.
Lou turned and grinned. "Right on it, Ai." He mixed her milkshake and put it in a glass in front of her. "There ya go, hun. Enjoy."
Mayumi chewed on the straw, but sucked at it at the same time. She sat back and sighed. "Now I'm bored..."

Tangowr had finished his glass of water and was turning to leave the bar when his elbow struck the person next to him. Startled at the sudden contact, he turned expecting to see a drunkard on his back only to find the angel herself sitting next to him.
“Sorry.” He said, timidly.
The barkeep glanced over at him and grinned.
Tangowr scowled at him, trying to get him to turn elsewhere. He’d already heard what he needed to hear from the filth inside the tavern. It was time for him to take his leave. Again he turned towards Ai and apologized.
“I’m terribly sorry, Ma’am.”

Mayumi jumped a little when she was struck in the side by something.
"Whoa!" she cried out, almost falling off the stool. She managed to steady herself and look to the casue of contact.
"I'm terribly sorry, Ma'am."
She looked at him a little angrily at first, but saw shyness in his eyes and decided to be nice. She put on her biggest angel eyes and looked at him sweetly. "It's quite alright, sir. Happens all the time."

After getting the reply from Ai, Tangowr decided it was time to take care of the slime ball from earlier who had disrespected him. Completely ignoring Ai's angel face, Tangowr made his way over to the fat a** and dragged him out of his chair and took him out back.
A few seconds later he returned.......... without the man. His score settled he decided that he better tip the barkeep before leaving and apologize to Ai for ignoring her advance.
As he walked to the bar, Ai looked at him sternly. Showing her disgust towards the young man who had blithely passed his chance to meet her, Ai pouted.
Tangowr pulled a gold piece out for the barkeep and laid it on the bar. Wanting to redeem himself, he decided to offer Ai a drink.
"Again, I'm terribly sorry for leaving so suddenly. If you'd like I'll buy you a drink to make up for it?" Tangowr laid the offer on the table hoping that Ai would take it, and yet hoping that she would ignore him and maybe even hate him for ignoring her. He wouldn't want to somehow get her involved in his job.

Kind of impressed by his stratling display of manhood, she decided to forgive him for leaving so suddenly and take him up on his offer.
"That would be wonderful, sir. I'd like that very much." She batted her eyes, but not so obviously that it looked like flirting.
She then decided she wanted to sit at a table, because those chairs had backs, lessening her chance of falling off and embarassing herselff by half. She stood up and beckoned for him to follow. She sat down at a small table off to the side of the bar.
"Take a seat," she said warmly.

She grinned and sat back. "Me?" She thought for a moment, tapping her finger on her lips. "I think I'll have a strawberry daiqiri."
She smiled sweetly and crossed her arms. "So what's your name?" she asked. "It's pretty obvious that you know who I am."

"Heeeeeey..." she said playfully. "'I don't seem like the type'? What's that supposed to mean?"
She laughed once and shook her head. "I kid, I kid. I realized I'm in a pretty suggestive business. Yeah, I take it with alcohol, but I haven't actually drank in weeks."
She paused for a moment, but felt awkward so she kept talking. "Elton, eh? Never would've pegged you as an Elton. Maybe a Jacob or a Lance or something, but never Elton." She raised an eyebrow. "Got an old-fashioned father?"

"I understand completely," she said with a nod. She didn't feel like running a background story on her own alias, as she had many, and a story for each. None of which she'd used in at least six months. She decided to give part her own story. Mayumi's.
"My parents died when I was 8. I was given to someone my father worked for. It was really hard being raised by people who didn't understand you. People who raise you for a very specific purpose."
She grinned and started lying. "Every day it was study, study, study. I had no friends, no real family, I've never even had a boyfriend!" She ran her fingers back through her hair. "I ran away six months ago. I'm never going back there."
She laughed a little. "Funny how kindred spirits can always find eachother, eh?"
