Jack looked at the man "Now listen, if i'm a captain without a ship? How came you to be a crew man without a captian mate? An lets juts say that my ship was procured from underneath me, but if you must know the story i'll tell you, We where on high water, near the end of our voyage when my first mate came to me and said' Captain, the others are in agreence with me, everything should be in fair share, including the location of the treasure.' So being the good man that i am i told them, later that night there was a mutiny, and they left me on the first island they saw with nothing, but my name and a pistol with a single shot." he looked at the woman "And quite frankly love, i would like my ship back, all i ask is that i board your ship, under the understanding that it is your ship, that i be made captain, and that we go to Port Royal, after that you can be rid of me, savvy?"

he looked at the man again, smiling a bit and slightly laughing to himself."Listen mate, without a experienced captain, say..." he pointed to himself"me, you won't make it half way to anywhere with the pirates in these waters. And, you might want to listen close to this one, you will not for a fact, make it if my ship is in these waters." he stepped up to the man "And that my friend is why you need me as captain." he stepped back and looked up at the sky as a cloud passed by, then he looked back at the man. "Besides, you don't look like a well fit choice for captain, and i see no one else around that isn't drunk, so what do you say mate? Could you stand a little trip with me, or would you rather be dead before you reached port?"

jack closed his eyes and smiled "Well since you don't be needing my type of captaining i'll just be on my way then." with that he turned on his heel and started walking back down the dock, he turned before he was out of ear shot"If ye make it to Port Royal or wherever in these waters ye be going write me a letter, but if you don't i'll know that the Pearl sent you to the briney deep." he turned again and walked to the end of the dock, where he stopped and looked around before he made his choice on where to go. "Hmm..now where is Anna Maria."

Only somewhat dismayed to see Jack walk off she shrugged and turned back to Bo. Her mind was still on Jack to some extent. Brash boastful and far too full of himself. And drunk, that had to be kept in mind.

"First mate is your's if you'll have it, but captain I will not be. Laughing stock of the ocean we would be, and dead too soon like as not. 'Tisn't worth the trouble it would cause."

Gwylen grinned at Bo's agreement to join the crew. It was a start and with a guy to ask around for crew, she figured they'd have more luck. As for his question she didn't even need to give it any thought. "Other than you an me? I can look after the sails as well as any, and do a bit of navigation. Other than that we be needin' nearly every man that a ship requires."

Casting her mind back to the dozen men she'd gotten to even bring the ship here, she quickly ruled them out as unacceptable, even compared with what slim pickings there were. "We may be going after them like jack yet......."

Gwylen nodded, and watched as Bo left the ship. She was somewhat unsure about him, as he'd taken her ownership of Fate in stride without a blink, and apparently took no interest in her person. In the end she decided not to look a gift horse in the mouth. Better than trying another round of the whores, for if Giselle was an example of the run of them, they'd get her nowhere.

Heading toward the main cabin at the back, she idly ran her fingers through her hair. Perhaps a chage in tactics was what would be needed.

seeing the drunk leave maximus got up and followed him at a good distance. well he thought he might have some odd items on him. he saw the drunk asking around for people who wanted to sail "he's not going to get any one that way"

As soon as the boat was dislodged of the men, Bahari jumped off the boat and began to walk over to her owner. Seeing the cat's gleeful stride, Stara stood up from her "chair" and made way over to the ship. As one of the men passed her, she merely flinched her gaze. No time for distractions now.... She thought, once she'd finally catch up with the cat. As they reached the boarding plank, Bahari positioned on her shoulders, she slowly went up to the deck. Before she stepped on it though, she peaked her head beside the rim of the ship.

There she saw her. Unfortunetly she was already heading inside. Stara then reached into her pocket, removed the piece of parchment, and held it open. Reading over the name a couple of times, she cleared her throat and called out. "Gwylen Lloyd?!" By now, she was standing completely on deck, hoping the noise she'd made with her boots to further help catch the woman's attention.
