Pinumbra Krayzee TwilightprincessZ I dont know they look like earrings to me.... So, how can he get his ears peirced? That is some from of pain...
If you keep observing Gaara, I think his "piercings" disappear...

I think when he say he never felt pain before is because no one inflicted him before, like he never felt a cut and such like that, biting your tongue and such like that so normal. So he prolly has felt pain before just not from someone else.

First2Go-Last2Know so what if he bit his tongue, its not like he could die from it.
and i know he's not gona do it just to feel pain.
I doubt poison would kill Gaara, he has Shukaku in him. He probably would break it down like Shino's bugs do for him... I dont know.

like someone else said before... he might've meant pain from someone else.. .such as a cut, or a punch, or a bruise. i always thought about those earrings... and they may just be bumps on the ear... like some japanese/chinese people have... they're natural... and alas.. his tattoo.. he was emotional. he was upset with the word love. and thats also when he lost it and became crazy.. thats when his motto popped into his head.. so he put that SCAR on his head to remind him of it every day. and the sand does what he says... it doesnt move on its own.. its his mind doing it, but subconsiously. the sand doesnt have a mind of its own. you see examples of that in the Gaara vs. Lee match and gaara vs. Sasuke match.... even though it automatically protects him.. its somewhere in his mind.
