((Wheee guess what I commished Libra to do anthro art of Degewi and Myoa. I thought it would be cute to have a pic of her leading him by the hand so he wont run into anything))
Degewi snorted as some got in his nose but he laughed to let her know he was ok. His ears twiched for a moment before he went swimming after her once he realized she wanted to race.
"Just cause I blind doesnt mean I cant out swim ya!!" He said with another laugh as he swam up beside her.

(( Wheeeeee! So cute! xD And I haven't even seen it yet. ))
Myoa grinned. "That's true, but do you want to bet?" She surged ahead, but not before nipping Degewi's mane, first. She laughed, daring him to try to catch up. She kept swimming until she suddenly stopped (or tried to). Uh oh. She had misjudged the length of the river, and was about ten feet away from a simply huge waterfall. "We need to get out of the water!!" she screamed, looking back dreadfully.

Degewi was about to say something till she shouted. He swam fowards to her feeling the current getting stronger he swam along side her and begain to try to push her to the land using all his stength to push against the pull of the water. Not a moment did he have concern for himself all he could think about was getting her out. He figured her wings would be to wet to fly out of this.
"Come on you can do it Myoa!"

Myoa sighed gratefully at Degewi's touch, glad he was okay. Also with no worry about her own well-being, she guided both of them towards shore, the few meters seeming like miles. With her wings drenched and useless, they were a huge burden, and she was grateful for Degewi's strength. Without it, she was sure she would've been swept away. Wearily she trudged on, leading Degewi with her. She constantly looked back, making sure he was okay.

((Geez I hate loving drama but hey you brought the waterfall))
As they reached the shore line Degewi did his best to keep a steady stance so she could get out, but just Degewi thought they were all clear and undertoe swept Degewi off his feet plunging him under water. On a whinny exscaped him as he went under. He tried not to be terrified, but he couldnt see or breath now, but he knew he had to fight to get to the surface more than anything he worried she would jump into the waters. Just at that moment he slammed against a rock. Lucky only his side and not on his head. He could swear he could see, but that wasnt so. He saw a boy and heard a voice that of the little warroir he once knew it felt as if the boy helped Degewi pull himself out of the water and onto the rock. He lay there for a moment. " Myoa dont you dare leave the shore line!!" He had to figure this out himself, or rather with the help of this old friend.
"It wasnt your fault. It was mine, I was as blind as you little war pony. I did not see you were special. You do not see the same as I and I pushed you to hard, now the least I can do is help you, get to the one you belong with." The boy said lifting Degewi to stand on the rock.
"Rest one moment then swim fowards, trust me and you'll get ashore."
Degewi trusted the voice and rested hoping Myoa would not panic.

Myoa fought down a wave of panic. As much as she hated to say it, she couldn't help Degewi. Her wings were still useless, and she was exhausted. She let out a groan, then prepared to attempt to fly. With pure will, she raised her wings, but couldn't do more. No matter how much she struggled, her wings were just too wet. She looked back at Degewi. Wait, something was different about him. Good, he was resting on a rock, but...Degewi seemed to be in a sort of trance. She watched awestruck as a little boy helped him up, then whisper words into his ear.

"Alright, just swim fowards." With that the boy vanished his spirit set free finally.
Degewi took one step unsure but the leap into the water, the current was strong but it didnt seem as strong as before. The water was deep though so Degewi still fought to keep his head above the water. But without being able to see he was still heading strait for the shore line. He pulled himself out and promptly layed on the ground. Through gasping breaths he stll managed to speak.
"Myoa, Myoa?!" She hadnt said anything when he had yelled to her so he was franticly tried to stand. Degewi was worried she had gone in anyways.

"Degewi!!" She cried out, rushing towards him. Myoa nuzzled him gratefully, still in awe about what happened. "Are you okay?" She asked, worried about how much the river had taken out of him. Myoa still wondered who the boy was, but that was a story for another time.
Again, she struggled with her wings. Finally, her wings came free, and she slowly fanned both of them.

Degewi clinged to the nuzzle returning it so releaved. He didnt want to leave her that experience had frightened him so much.
"I was so afraid. I thought Id never be with you again."

Against her will, Myoa cried silently. Unforbiden tears fell down her cheek. The thanked the skies above for Degewi's life. Now that she thought about it, she thanked the wind for letting them meet.
"Degewi, oh Degewi....I was so scared too. The thought of you....and because of me......" Myoa buried her head in Degewi's mane. Her heart was fluttering all over the place, but she ignored it. She had been so scared, and now so grateful, so relieved. There was no room to feel embarressed now.

"This has made something very clear to me,Myoa. I cant live without you. I never want there to be a moment where Im not by your side. I...L..." he stopped short and nuzzled her the words were hard for him to say. So long he had been alone without much emotion and now all of this.It was to much for him.

Myoa found the strength to breathe. "Degewi...I love you too." She whispered, barely audible. She returned his nuzzle, then continued. "I don't want to be alone either, I wish to stay by your side forever."
Although she didn't show it, Myoa also had had a hard past. Ever since she was born, he mother and father were always fighting. Finally, her mother was beaten to death. Once, before she died, Myoa asked her mother why she never left. The answer had been love. Soon after, Myoa herself ran away. However, not unscathed. Her deep fear of love started right then and there. Now, because of Degewi, she was over her fear, and perhaps her past? Perhaps she was finally able to look at her youth without confusion and anger.
She was overwelmed. Never had she expected to fall in love, but now, she was glad she did. She looked at Degewi with wide innocent eyes, and leaned against him. If I lost him, I doubt I'll be able to survive.....

Degewi smiled relaxing his breath for a moment.
"Myoa I hope you dont think this to sudden to fast, but I really want to be with you forever. I guess what Im trying to say is will you be my mate, but not just a mate will you share your life with me as my life mate?" Degewi asked his voice shacky as a rattle snake's tail.

Myoa chewed his mane gently, appearing as in great thought. She kept him in a suspense, but only to tease. "Of course you aready know my answer, but just in case, it is yes." She smiled at her new mate.
