Aiko_589 well for visit you would write in english or katakan, doesnt matter, if you immigrate your name changes anyway, so, you have to write yournew name (also immigrated result in loss of nationality, which means you cant say im canadaian or white or whatever, you say your japnese)
Wait, if I immigrated would I have to change my name? even though I have a Japanese and English name already? gonk

Ok well I'll learn them just in case and write people's names or whatnot using not them to be safe. si you use shi. just dont use them ok? will you change your name like most foreigers? (ecause i dont want to call you sherudon) lol Okay razz but what if I came to Japan, would I write my name the same was as if I was in Canada or would I write it in Katakana? well for visit you would write in english or katakan, doesnt matter, if you immigrate your name changes anyway, so, you have to write yournew name (also immigrated result in loss of nationality, which means you cant say im canadaian or white or whatever, you say your japnese) Wow! You read really fast! This and the American Schools Suck one in like a short amount of time! What do you mean by new name? Meaning I keep it but it's written or said a bit differently or I get a whole knew name altogether, like one using possible kanji?

So I change it from English to Japanese like 草太 or 文男? lol That'd be fun to get a new name written like that. smile I would totally use it now even.

you keep your japanese name stare I meant my given name. Because my birthcertificate says my english name, and then for middle name I have Japanese name.

So I'd have [new] first name, but keep Japanese last name right?

Um, is the Kanji (the third letter on each entry...it is Kanji, isn't it?) on the list reliable? That isn't the pattern for using them, is it? O.o I am so confused.

freakthemighty What's my japanese name? btw, if you forgot me name, it's Matthew You'd have to write it as 'Ma-ti-yu'. Now figure out how to write that with the Katakana page.

How does that work? I'd have a hard time giving up the name I have too. I mean, I don't really like my name, but it's like having your annoying otooto die....you didn't really like him, but you still were sentimental about it. =_= Why is it like that anyway?
