Many other foods is an understatement, you could probably spend your entire lifetime trying to eat every food and get nowhere near close.
Our food is generally somehow derived from either plants or animals, which is obviously unlike yours. Although the concept of your chemically created food certainly is there in my era, it's just used to color and flavor food mainly.
The fridge is loaded, which includes having cake, so if you'd like to try some of that we can. It's sweet and also bad for you, but it's my favorite.
Most things that are good for you require preperation and a some time.

*can't help but to chuckle*
We only use drunk to describe the state when you've had too much alcohol....
Cake doesn't contain a poison. It just has alot of sugar, so it gives you a large boost of energy for a short amount of time.

All these strange effects...food appears to be like simply multiple types of drugs... :::She shrugged, a burts of energy didn't seem like the worse side effect:::

*removes a cake from the fridge, good old chocolate iced vanilla cake and places it on a small table*
Hmmm, now something to eat it with and on...
*starts rummaging through drawers and cabinets, and brings two dishes, two forks, and a knife to the table*
Well, there's only one way to find out if it's good or not...
*cuts two slices of it, placing one on each plate and takes a bite with the fork*
Ooooo.... really good. You must try.

Wow!!! This is as good as the wine liquid!! It's so fluffy, and...and smooth! I...I really enjoy this. :::She didn't know too many words to describe pleasure:::

Cake is practically my favorite food, and eating it with your hands just makes it all that more interesting.
*picks up a rather large piece of the cake with his hand and stuffs it in his mouth, chews it, and swallows it down*
Are you even going to be able to eat your food again after eating this great stuff?
Even alot of what is good for you tastes great.

It seems that I haven't corelated the two versions...I still think of the chemical base diet as sustinance, this seems more like a new thing to do to me....you know...something that some one can do to enjoy themselves, and, it doesn't have to be part of their schedule...
:::she couldn't find the word...there was no such thing as hobby or leisure where she was from. She looked down and continued picking the cake, and licking the frosting from her fingertips.
A moment of silence passed. She looked back up at Haelous, somewhat sheepishly...she had the feeling that she appeared to be very childish...so enthusiastic about things he'd already known so well:::
Thank you very much for showing me what your food is like, it's really like nothing I've ever felt before.

Well that's logical and it's alot like what we do, we eat chips and cake for fun, but we eat other things for our main meals.
*not really knowing at first what to say in response to the complement, he just looks at Cora and smiles*
....Of course, I'm more than willing to show you things from my era that make life more enjoyable.

You shouldn't be afraid to ask me things, we are from different times.... It is the best way to learn about differences, irregardless of the subject.

People when I'm from don't touch each other...at all. Physical human contact spreads diseases, so it's...not outlawed really, just socially unacceptable. Since I've gotten here, I've experience a lot of it. I've experienced a hug, and Torment showed me that a kiss can mean thank you, and other kinds of contact...I'm starting to see that they have so many meanings... but....

Well uh, I guess a kiss can mean thank you, assuming it's in the proper way and place. When you kissed me on the forehead, that's appropriate. I don't know if a kiss on the lips could be considered a "Thank you".....
What kind of touches are you talking about...? Don't let yourself overcomplicate something that's truly so simple. If you just say things literally and try not to analyze something you know you cannot comprehend, then it's much easier for others to aid you in understanding.

Officer Tac....he'd gone mad...and...he threw himself at me, he put his hands on me, very forcefully...he put his mouth on my skin as though...as though he was tasting me....and I can't explain what it felt like...it was so overwhelming. He touched me very differently...I felt lightheaded, my thoughts were abscent...it...
It didn't feel bad...
