Jubilee sighed and shook her head.
"No! No, you're not." Her hands found their way to his and she held the boney one with her two small ones. She blinked, supressing a small shudder. The hand was dry, and a little warm, probably from being inside the gauntlet. She moved left hand so it was palm to palm with his, then threaded her fingers between his. "I don't think you are. And no one else would! I mean, there are funny animal people and my sister is a dark Fae, bent on taking over the Kingdom." She paused. "Imbri's mother was...was a Horse, for goodness sake! We're all different. Special."
She bent down, picking up the gauntlet that Sora had dropped, without releasing Mozenraths hand and held it up to him. "You're not weird. Just different." She smiled up at him, then glanced down at the clasped hands. "Look. I've been sparking the whole time, and haven't hurt you!"

A small smile crossed his face as he took the gauntlet from her. "I guess you're right. It's just... slightly odd... Vampires, Fae, and this like that are common now-a-days, but I'm just a human." Mozenrath slipped his skeletal hand from her grip and slid it into the glove.
He paused, watching the small sparks as they flew from her clasped hands. "Hmm, I guess it's logical that without flesh or muscle I wouldn't feel any pain."
"Wait... a horse?"
"You people are BORING!" Sora yawned loudly as he stood up, pacing slowly back to the tree.
"Boing!"
He lept for a higher branch, one hidden amongst the leaves where neither could shoot at him.

Jubilee smiled up at Mozenrath. "See? It's ok," she said, her hands still sending out little sparks.
She dug in her pockets and pulled her gloves on, then held her hands behind her head.
"Yah, a horse," she said, laughing. "I'm not exactly sure, ah...how it happened," she said shrugging. "Imbri's mother lived in another world and an old journal Kida has talks about 'Love Springs' and stuff. Momma won't tell us, though."
The little girl stuck out her tongue. "We're not boring. You're just too young to understand."
((Ok, it SOUNDS weird, but yeess, Imbri's mother is 'Horse' and her father is a Human. There are things in Xanth (series of books I read, one character is Imbrium, the NightMare, who is my Imbri's mother) Imbri herself becomes a Nymph like creature later on in the series and THAT'S supposed to be when she gets pregnant with little Imbri. XD))

"NU-UH!" Sora shouted from where he hid. "I'M NOT YOUNG!"
"That's certainly an... interesting story, but is Imbri err... a horse? Or is she humanoid in appearance?" Mozenrath couldn't help but chuckle, "I definately can't see anyone living with a horse for a mother."
The teen sat down, cracking the joints on his right hand warily. "Typical of a girl to keep a journal containing something about 'love'. But I guess that makes me feel better about my family, even if I'm FORCED to live with that," he motioned to the tree where Sora sat hidden in the foliage, "and my other younger brother Jan."
"But my guardian at least has given me a few interesting books. Hmm, I read about something recently, it was interesting to say the least. Have you ever heard of something called the crystal of Ix?"

Jubilee rolled her eyes. "Oh please," she said, sticking out her tongue at Sora. "You act like a baby."
"Oh, Momma's definatly a human. When I daze or try to drown her out, she pops an image into my head, and normally it's a big black horse that talks." Jubilee laughed. "I can't ignore her, if she doesn't want me to!"
The dark haired girl raised her eyebrow. "Oh...it's not THAT kind of love." She giggled. "Now that an old friend of Imbri's is living with us, she told us about them. They call them 'love springs' but that's just the name. What they are, are springs, or ponds or whatever that have magical water. Like, some heal, some make you hate the person, and some, like the love springs make you..umm..." she paused, trying to remember what the lady had told her. "She said some compel you to 'summon the stork' whatever that means. But she said, you don't have any choice, if you get near them."
Jubilee shook her head. "Nope, never heard of it. What is it?"

"The crystal of Ix is well... a crystal as it's name implies, however this jewel posesses a great power, unlike most." Mozenrath recollected upon the novel he had read. "I'm not entirely sure of said abilities as the information was rather vague, however if one was to find a piece and shout the words 'Ixtala' then it's powers would be released. I umm... am trying to collect magical artifacts you see."
"Now these 'magical' waters..." Mozenrath's voice trailed off, what he wouldn't give to be able to manipulate the feelings of others, without having to lift a finger. "Do you think that these waters would say... perhaps heal my hand?"(( LMAO xd I've never heard it called 'summoning the stork' before XDDD ))

Jubilee giggled. "Whatcha shouting for? Who are you trying to convince, me or you?"
"Mommas not home long enough to abuse the power," Jubilee said. "Maybe she's responsible enough too...I dunno. She's pretty old. I think."
The asian girl looked at Mozenrath curiously, wondering why he was collecting magic artifacts, but let it slide.
"I, um...I don't know if it could. There's not much about the healing springs, just the love springs. Also..well...they don't seem to be anywhere but where Momma came from, and she says she hasn't been able to get back there since she left. She said the dimensions haven't alligned properly to allow her to."
((Haha, that's actually what they call it in the Xanth books. XD And an actual, literal stork delivers the baby. ))

"I'm not trying to convince anyone!" Sora retorted, "At least I'm not resorting to name calling! That's so LAME!"
Mozenrath shook his head, "Hmph, maybe your mom should adopt Sora for a little while. Perhaps knock some responsiblity, not to mention intelligence, into the kid."
"I HEARD THAT! And old ladies are sooo... Old and boring!"
"That's a shame." He sighed, ignoring his brother. "I've never really understood all of these 'alternate dimensions'. Teleporting from one place to another, well that's simple, but how do you know where you will end up? What if, by complete chance, you teleported to some place where monsters run wild?"
The dark blue magic began to flare up around his right hand, "I just wish there was something I could do to fix my arm. If I don't find anything, I'll either have to give up my gauntlet or take my chances with whether or not the decay will stop before it reaches my shoulder..."

"Name calling?" Jubilee said, sounding as shocked as she could. "I'm insulted that you'd say such a thing!"
Jubilee laughed. "Mommah doesn't ever adopt boys," she said. "There's only one boy there, and it's mommah's actual child."
Her nostrils flared and she eyed Sora. "Mommah, is NOT old." She said slowly and delibertly.
"It didn't all just happen at once?" the little girl asked, touching the glove. "It's progressing?" She looked at him curiously. "How did it start?"

"OLD LADY! OLD LADY!" Sora taunted from the tree. "Good thing she doesn't adopt boys! I would want to waste any of my time with you lame family!"
The green-haired boy lept down from the tree branch and started to taunt the other child. "LAMEY LAME!"
"It started to irritate my hand when I was a kid, but that was when I could barely use my magic." Mozenrath replied, ignoring his younger brother, "It started to really eat away at my arm when I was constantly using the gauntlet but it seems to have slowed down dramatically since then. It's not really noticable now, well apart from the obvious fact my arm is skeletal. There's no pain or anything."
"E-M-O" Sora was calling from where he stood, "Poor ikkle babies!"

Jubilee's eyes widened and her stomach turned as she listened to Mozenrath talk about his arm. She touched her small to Mozenraths ungloved one. "Well..maybe it will get better later-"
She stopped cold, staring at Mozenrath. "What did you just call Imbri?" She asked. As if it mattered, the gloves were already off.
Literally.
She was flying from Mozenrath's side, her sparking hands grabbing for Sora's shirt collar. "You little BRAT!"

"You heard me! I called her OLD!" Sora shouted as attempted to dodge the flying child by leaping into the air. Unfortunately for him it wasn't quick enough and the sparks singed his legs.
"Oww! Your girlfriend keeps trying to beat me up!" He whined as he landed with a 'boink!'.
"Would you two stop fighting!" Mozenrath shouted as he shot a blast of magic at the two, "Seriously! You two are both acting like five-year-olds!"
"AND SHE CALLED ME A BRAT!"

"Darn straight I did!" Jubilee shouted, falling backwards from the bolt of magic and glaring daggers at Mozenrath. She scrambled up quickly and around where the scorch mark lay to renew her attack on Sora. "I'm not his girlfriend, I'm a little girl, how dumb are you, you brat!"
She barreled headfirst at the small boy laying on the ground. "I HATE YOU!" Her hands sparked many different colors. "Why are you stopping me?" She said angrily at Mozenrath. "He deserves what's comming to him!"
