Indeed, I understand. If the melody, beat, etc., flows the right way, I can dig it.

Most of my friends stared at me for hours on end just listening to some of the things I have on my song list. I felt like such an outcast. It was so traumatic.

But, my usual cup of tea is metal, punk, anything hard. It seems to make me feel more comfortable with myself when I listen to some great bands like NoFx, 15 Minutes Late, and System of a Down.

metal is cool, it's full of energy, one time I listened to a song that was metal, and this guy was screaming. it was called "I want my mother f**king rubber ducky!!!" It made me want to piss ma friggin pants.
anyways yea, I love songs that have an awesome guitar part. If you play guitar, and you play it well, you are hot. regardless of your appearance.

Well, all through eighth grade, all my bus driver would do was play country music and refuse to change the station. So for the three weeks I was battery-less with my CD player, I ended up listening to the country station...

Hmm.. I suppose that is a good enough response. sweatdrop

Well, the only country I listen to, is as I stated, Johnny Cash. The man could write and play music.

I admit to never hearing him but my dad said he was awesome

Your dad is an awesome man. His last album before his death was very good and many people of my generation can relate to it. He did a cover of NIN- Hurt, and he performed the song as if he wrote it and it was meant for him. A great man and is missed by many.

His tribute was on last night. My dad watched while my mom was downstairs watching a thing about Star Wars...and I was on the computer in the other room watching Making the Grade on my DVD player sweatdrop

I've noticed how most of my peers have trouble relating to music that is'nt bone crushingly rythmic. it's a taste that limits their music to the last century or so, where as i've got about 1000 years to draw upon.

i'm into most every kind of music. recently, i've spent most of my time acuiring and listening to soundtracks. good stuff 3nodding

me myself i dont like metal it's just a bit too hard for me. i like sorta emo-ish rock, like finch and trustcompany. but the sex pistols have the odd and inexplicable power to make me a vegetable which makes me happy becuase they rock ^-^ anyways i like the latest song by taking back sunday it's my zen song. i also like really good solos like er the thing by yes and shun's solos....gtg bedtime >.<

I listen to a lot of new age, some Indie, some emo, not much metal, and techno...but the only techno band I like is Aqua. I admit to liking Aqua, they have some really weird, cool songs. My own band((that we're in the process of making...we're replacing our singer)) uses the term 'write what you know' so we write about life, my cat, even this weird song me and Slinky made up at lunch that doesn't even rhyme but just sounds weird 3nodding

And that's why we love you. I'm one of those wierd people who listens to nothing but techno and j-pop/rock. I can't count how many times my dad has come in and gone "What the hell are you listening to?" or "How can you stand that crap?" Ok well i do like a lil bit of everything else..But i usually only listen to normal radio in the car. I like slightly older rock and metal. Like I always say "The day that metalica cut their hair, my childhood died." crying
