Sunday, August 13th

Today I went shopping, since I really had nothing better to do since I was home from work. So I left Nanet at home and went out to check out the old stores down to street, and found these cool Furin that were for sale. I bought one and put it outside, and now all I can do it watch it sway in the wind, it actually is quite pretty.

Tuesday, August 15th

I didn't do much of anything today, it was one of those nice days, so I took Nanet and we just spent some time outside in the grasses, looking up to the sun as fall set in. It was nice with the breeze, but really all I could do was relax and enjoy the world around me, taking it all in and whispering about it's beauty. It helped me make a new poem, just because this is my world.

Step up and take my hand,
I promise I won’t lead you astray,
For while I have little guidance with my eyes,
I have plenty that I need to say.

Tighten in my textured embrace,
A bridge of warmth that connects us,
Can you hear it in the air?
A sound that whispers through this dusk.

“Poetry” it beckons on the breeze,
A word that flows alone,
It describes so many things,
And halts you with its tone.

I know exactly of what it is,
For I have traveled this road before,
It is a beauty not many experience,
But those that have ask for more.

So hold on tightly to my hand,
And I will show you the way,
Through this land of endless turns,
Welcome to Outside the Cliché.

Friday, August 18th

I can't believe it, I just can't believe it. Inoue decided to drop on by, he said he had so much fun catching up that he had to stay again. I just opened the door this morning and there he was, standing with all of his boxes in one hand and his other one holding the pale one of my new nephew, Chogan.

It is weird, I never thought I would see the day of actually meeting the surreal creatures of this world, but Chogan proved me wrong, just as Nanet did. He almost is normal, if you ignore his black eyes and his pale blue skin, but sadly you can't ignore the large wings that float from behind him.

I asked Inoue why he wasn't still overseas, and he just shruged it off before heading into the guest room. Already, I can tell something crazy is just waiting to happen.

Sunday, August 28th

For the third time, I decided to take Nanet and stop by the shop with hopes that the silver haired girl was there. She wasn't but someone else was, and a plush too. However, this time it wasn't a bird flying around, but an actual girl, though she was only a few inches high. I sat down but the plush, Willow, came over and I let her play with Nanet, I was a little stunned to turn her down. Yet, they played and I got the chance to meet up with her 'mother', LP.

We talked a bit, and she warned me about odds things happening, and than we promised to meet again. I wonder what she means about odds, and what is going to happen in the next few days, something big...I'm sure...

Friday, September 1st

Nothing yet, though I am getting so busy with everything, I think my mind is going to explode. Living alone sure is a lot more work than people show, and really, I haven't been focusing on my job as much. I am an artist and writer for the Durem Dribble, so while it is a pretty easy going job I do have deadlines that I need to do. Thankfully, they don't mind me working at home, so I get that kind of quite compared to some.

Oh well, hopefully something entertaining will happen, but otherwise I'll just go work on my columb.

Monday, May 7th

Oh goodness, there is so much I haven't been writing, though truthfully I have never been too good with journals. Be prepaired for a nice long post about the past nine months, because well...it has been nine months. Oh goodness.

Inoue left late november, after a long 'visit' that really was a bit too much. Chogan was such a cutie, and I think I miss him more than I miss my fool of a brother. The little guy grew on me, and he really had an affect on my little Nanet. Even though he missed her 'big change' (which I will get to later) his friendship with her not only affected her on the outside, but she even...well let me get to that later.

Mom and Dad really were annoyed when they found out Inny was over, since he never told them and they wanted to visit too. Thankfully, they never were told about Nanet just yet. I don't know if they would even believe about how she came about, even now. They really are a but slow, though I love them anyway, mostly father though.

Speaking of which, now is the most important thing of the past few months. A few days after Inny left with Chogan, something magical happened, something I was clueless and unprepaired for. When I woke up in the morning, I was greeted with the same thing as always, a quite home and a warm plush underneath my fingertips. I went about the day as always, moving to make breakfast for one and taking a quick shower to clean off. As I finished I meal, I went back into my bedroom and threw on some clothing. It was than it happened.

When I picked her up, the fabric underneath my fingertips started to grow warm, and it was subtle at first. Soon enough, however, it got painfully warm, and it caused me to drop Nanet to the ground and hold my hand in shock. When I looked down, nothing prepaired me for the sight of a flash, but not of light. It was of one of the beads being cover by fabric, than the other. Nanet had blinked.

I remember swearing at that point, and backing away as her 'pelt' shivered before the fabric shedded, in fact later I even found a pile of purple and orange fluff later. But that is beside the point, for as soon as the fabric was gone and replaced by scales, real scales, she yawned, and rows of sharp teeth gleamed in the light.

By than, I had fallen against the wall, and she turned to me before waddling over, her tail swinging. Since she was small, I guess she wasn't as intimidating as she was stunning, blinking up at me with deep eyes and waiting for something, anything. I called all plans that day and just spent it trying to see if I really was sane. Since than, it was history, for lack of better terms.

After awhile, I really got used to her, and even made her a new bed including a bath and discovered what kind of food she liked. She liked meat, of course, but also liked chicken and sweets every so oftin, I didn't treat her too much. Dispite her scales, she really was a good cuddler, and enjoyed helping me and reading over my shoulder at night. I am not sure if she really understands reading, but at least she enjoys being there with me.

All in all, we've spent the past few months together, going out but not really meeting up with others. Inny and Chogan visited a few times, and the small boy loved the fact that she had changed. My darling brother nearly had a fit, it was quite funny. Mother and Father still have no idea and I don't think I will tell them. For now, I just think Nanet is ready to meet some others.

This calls for another visit to the shop, hopefully someone will be there I know this time...

Wednesday, May 9th

The two days after Nanet's transformation I looked more into alligators, more so because I had no idea what to do. I knew Nanet needed a new place to sleep beside my bed, a sort of habitat-room, so that was the first thing I looked up. Apparently, American Alligators are mostly in freshwater swamps, rivers and marshes. So of course, that really left me with few options, so I went to the pet store and bought a huge tank. Thankfully, I got a few smarts from growing up with a brother, so I was able to take the front off and the top, so really all it is, is a glass room with the front and top open, and pretty big.

Placing that in the corner of the room, I tried to figure out a way to make a river, so I put a good amount of dirt in it, so much I had to put a mat underneath and let the dirt level off in a sort of ramp outside of the cage. Well at least that worked out, because it makes it easier for Nanet to go in and out of her new home. I also put a nice bowl of water next to the dirt, so when she came out I can put her in there and clean her off.

After I put the dirt in, I put plastic in a grooved area and filled it with water to simulate a river, adding a few rocks and even stealing some algae so it looked better. Also, it said that alligators liked to burrow into the dirt, so hopefully with deep I made it helped Nanet find a good home. After adding a few logs and some grass in, I let her test it out.

Right away she went into the river and floated there, it just being deep enough for her to lift her legs. It was funny seeing her strange colors in the mud, but for the rest of the day she didn't leave her new home, so I think she really enjoyed it.

The next morning, I found a hole burrowed, so I guess it is true, she really enjoyed her new home, which I'm glad about...once I had that covered, I had to look into meals.

Thursday, May 10th

So I took a look into the meals, and most of the things large alligators ate were frogs and fish, something that doesn't work for Nanet since she is so small. But one thing that was on the list was bugs and crayfish. Somehow, the store had them, thankfully it was a big store, so I bought a few crickets and some crayfish. Of course I didn't take into account that her home was open, so of course as soon as I let the crickets out, they hopped out of the room...leaving me to be tortured as they chirped all that night.

However, the crayfish stuck in the dirt, and Nanet actually ate them, thankfully. She was very pleased afterwards, so much that she curled into my hold and actually fell asleep like a puppy.

Nanet doesn't make much noise, but when she cuddles into my arms I know she is grateful, and somehow I get the feeling she is a softy at heart, and needs me to hold her as much as I feel the need to keep her by my side.

Saturday, May 12th

I decided to give Nanet a few books of mine when I was a kid, so one of the first books I gave her we finally finished today. It was A Pizza the Size of the Sun by Jack Prelutsky, one of my favorites when I was growing up. I don't think she could read, so I took the opportunity to read it myself through each and every poem right before bed. We did about five a night, because after every poem she would crawl on the book and go across the pictures. I think she was looking at them up close, as if connecting my words to the images before her.

I think tomorrow I am going to go buy New Kids on the Block and Something BIG Has Been Here, I'm sure she will love those just as much as she seems to love A Pizza the Size of the Sun
