Alrighty.. Well, I would agree with Vaughan that there's no point starting a thread then telling us to look it up on Google. -_- Thanks for finally posting a little about it though..
I wouldn't agree on getting something in return. In the Law of the Power, which is linked to the Rede (which is linked to the Guild's Rules) is states "It is unwise to accept gifts for the use of the Power, for it quickly controls it's taker. Be not as those of other religons." However, if Reiki is something different from Wicca then.. Well, go ahead but don't have me nearby. sweatdrop

Sorry ladies, but unless you have bad immune systems and live with high levels of pain 24/7, please don't complain. I've got both and have learned to live with it. (Medical condition called Fibromyalgia)

S'okay. Most times I'd read it as a joke... the pains just been a bit high today. If Reiki would work on me I'd definitely give it a try, but I'm not sure there's anyone up here where I live that knows Reiki.

Viragogirl Kayne Aiya ooohhh, my interest has been peaked.lol. I wish I could learn it....... the problem is that you have to be innitiated to do it... also, it speeds up the immune system and healing processe. How and where could we get innitiated, this is something I would really like to learn.

well... I guess people who are Reiki masters can some how tell if you are ready to be innitiated or not and then I don't know how they do it (I'm not a master yet) but you get innitiated and then are able to do Reiki.

OK did my research and am back. Your use of the term "innitiated" is wrong, an innition requires a test. Reiki only needs an attunement done by the Reiki master and then one can do Reiki, not that hard. And since anyone can use it, thats why there is no test. Please stop using the term "innitiated" that way we're not all confuddled.

Man, where am i going to find a Reiki master... damn I don't think there would be any lying around town. (sunbury is the most spiritualy confused town ever... to the point that I found a book on magick in an antique shop and the store front said it was a cook book, lol.)

I did a 10 week project on it. Reiki is an ancient form of Japanese energy healing, using the energies of the universe (or, more vaguely, The Source. Basically, the god, goddess, or whatever it is that energy stems from. I like to think it's the universe). Once someone is attuned to one of the three levels of Reiki (with every attunement, you can do more, and the healings become more powerful, I'm a Reiki 1), the energies of the universe flow through you and target whatever areas on the person your healing that need healing. I could go on, if you'd like me too, I suppose.
