Actually, no. I've never read any of Mercedes Lackey's books. I was going to be Silver Wolf, but the name was taken by a Never-Gaian (registered a long time ago; no posts), so I picked Silver Gryphon. Gryphons and manticores are my favorite non-humanoid fantasy creatures.

Ah, I see. Well you should read them, then. Black Gryphon is one of my favorite Lackey books (it's the first of a trilogy which includes White Gryphon and Silver Gryphon. Obvously, gryphons play a big role, so you should be interested).

Not only is Skye of Thunder a female sousaphone, she's the only tuba in her entire school right now!
