I've done the cliff thing, too. I was going down it, and about 5 feet in on a 50-foot cliff, I put my weight on a dead branch. it snapped, and it was like something out of a damn cartoon. I held my balance just long enough to look at it, go "Well, ********.", and cover my head before I went down backward.

one of my most embarassing, though: I am known to my friends for being a car ninja. I'll pull impressive-looking maneuvers sometimes, mostly centered around the fact that I know exactly where my vehicle is and don't mind leaving myself a one-inch margin for error. I tend to drive fast (I was once clocked at 120 km/h in a 70 zone. This was after decelerating for a turn; I don't know how fast I was going because the speedometer stopped at 200.) and I'll occasionally corner hard enough to throw people around a bit. I'm the best driver my crew knows.

It wasn't always this way, however.

Flashback: Three years ago. I'd just gotten my class 5 license, and I was still feeling newfound freedom, driving myself to and from work. Nice summer day, got the CD player blasting, cruising along with the window down, all is good.I'm actually doing the limit, it's ideal driving conditions, nice straight stretch of road... hmm, I don't like this song. I glance down to change it, and the inevitable happens: I begin to drift toward the side of the road. When I look up, there's a telephone pole dead ahead, and my right wheels crunch gravel. Newly-laid, incredibly loose gravel. I panic, steer back toward pavement, and (my right wheels having no traction), shoot into a turn far tighter and more extreme than expected. I zip across the road entirely, spinning 180 as I go, over the ditch, slam my passenger side into a fencepost, and roll into the ditch, coming to rest on my driver's side.

Fortunately, I was unharmed. To this day, I tell my friends I was just cruising along, minding my own business, but this fencepost was talking s**t. Had to kick its a**.

When I'm training, because I'm concentrating on what I'm doing my balance and spatial awareness are pretty darn good but as soon as I leave I'm the most clumsy person ever! I walk into things, trip over things, hit various limbs off various hard or pointy objects - most of my bruises are from my accidents rather than training!

I also cannot cook eggs, eggs hate me and conspire against me to break, fall out of the pan on to the floor, stick to non-stick pans so they fall apart when I try to pick them out and burn me with their boiling hot runny yolks. *shakes fist at eggs*

I think I'd rather my finger cut than anything else. That's just me though.

That reminds me of something my friend did! He's a martial artist as well, but he's always getting hurt. So at one point his wrist was bothering him and he had to get some kind of spray-on medicine for it. He was making something on the stove but he didn't bother to read the instructions, or else he'd have known that it was flammable and that he should have waited until it dried. Set his wrist on fire and ran around screaming. Luckily for him the sink was full of water so he just stuck it in there. He's had a lot of bad experiences with fire.

That reminds me off the time (years ago) when some of my mates where at a party and were pissed out of their heads.

The one who owned the house had a pet hamster and they took it out of the cage and made a little obsticale course for it. Anyway it bit one of them and they out it in a microwave and turned the ******** on. The hamster exploded and blew the door off.

I wasn't there but I laughed my a** of when I was told about it. Then I strangely felt real bad afterwards...........

Actually come to think of it, I shouldn't have replied on this thread to begin with. Seeing as though I am not really a master of the martial arts.

It was the impression of the hamster on the rotating plate that my mate did that cracked me up.
