Unreasonable Sin it seems like jews have problems with germans? i know theres a grudge since the holocaust but... why? not all germans are like that now, some were forced into it. but when ever any jew (those around me) mention somthing about germans they have feign enthusiasm and disgust. they are all like, "germans suck..." but my dads a german jew... why do people dislike germans? ((reminder, not saying all jews do or that you do)) not all jews dislike germans. i am on a kibbutz right now and one of the people on it is converting and he is from GErmany, (not to mention he is HELLA CUTE MAN!) so dont say all jews! thankxs~

ever heard of yekis? whoever dislikes germans just because of where theyre from is ignorant and is a disgrace to judaism. nazis, however, who are catagorized by belief not location, suck. hard.

The same reason that Jews dislike Arabs. When so many from one group of people have done your people wrong, you develop a distrust in ALL. It's a safety thing, really. Better to trust none than chance to trust some.

Silverah I don't dislike Germans. The majority of the population today wasn't even alive then. They couldn't have done anything about it. I dislike Nazis. Couldn't have said it better myself.

I don't dislike Germans - I do try to get to know Germans and Poles on ICQ in order to have no prejudices against them - and most of them really are nice intelligent people I enjoy talking to. I do admit, it's difficult not to think about it when we talk - even though I like them, it's always on the "back of my mind".
I guess it's not really fair; I don't know who their grandparents were and what they did at the time - which is another reason why I can't stop thinking about it.

RAMONESdork Yeah, I don't hate Germans, just Nazis/Neo Nazis. When people ask what I'm listening to and I answer "Rammstein" they go, "but aren't you Jewish?" yeah, i know. if that logic applied, we would completely shun every non jew on the face of the earth. hate is too strong a word. i "disapprove".

My dad is german so my whole family bothers him but we dotn hate Germans, its just my Grand parents who kinda dislike them because they lost loved ones to the holocaust so thats understandable, but they dont hate dad, they think hes a Shmuck stressed but we are all family. Plus he told me a story, that when he got with my mom, he told his mom "mom shes Jewish is that alright?" and his mom slapped him in the face and said "What, do you think im some Racist Nazi" and slapped him again. And then my Dad converted lol

I don't hate Germans, I hate Nazis and Hitler. A very good friend of mine is from Germany, she just moved here a year ago. When one of the girls in our class found out my friend was German and I was Jewish, she went "Oh! That's so funny!" Ugh. We both responded by telling her it doesn't matter.
I don't like that people assume Jews hate Germans. Yes, the holocaust was terrible, but if we held a grudge against everyone who had ever hurt Jews, we'd be as bad as they were. What about the Spanish Inquisition? The Christians killed many Jews. If we were still pissed about that, I would have no friends at school, as practically my whole school is Christian.
