I theorize the reason most Japanese live so long, is because they don't stuff themselves with meats, and other high cholesterol foods, like many people do in America, and other countries.

In short, eating lots of fish will give you Protein, and Omega-3, and eating lots of meat will give you a heart attack.

While it's true that the Japanese don't eat meat in large quantities, I'm not seeing nearly as much fish as I would like during lunchtimes at the cafeteria - it's mostly chicken and pork. And most of the meat ends up fried one way or another. Katsu-this and katsu-that. Maybe that's just where I am, though. D:

an apple=250yen. it`s like fine jewelry... so expensive i don`t even want to eat it, i feel like i`m not "good" enough to deserve it xd

I dared to get myself an apple the other day. It looked really pretty, but it was kind of tasteless. So not worth 150 yen. D: On the other hand, I had some really good peaches... I've been eyeing the grapes at the supermarket, but they charge about 500 yen for a very small bunch. >_<
