Dionaea slipped silently back into her room, wandering for hours in the dark halls, listening. There were very few recognizable sounds about the castle at night, and the Flytrap wondered if she and her recent companions were the only ones occupying the castle. Her ears strained to listen, but she could still not overhear any conversation. Where was the Lady Nox? And Pteryx? The Flytrap teen sighed, walking over to her bookcase. She had aquired it recently, as her Kithain was setting it up to pass the time, waiting for her return from her expedition with Procyon and Mephiti. It was taller than she, much taller, and study. Wooden. Dionaea wondered how her Kithain managed to construct something so much taller than they both were. As a gift, Luciel had brought her Fey ward a diary in which to keep her thoughts. A purple quill was tucked neatly inside. Dionaea spotted the inkwell and lay down on her bed with it, careful not to spill. She took up the quill and began to write. Quote: Greetings.
My name is Dionaea, and I shall be keeping record of my thoughts in you. I hope you don't mind.
I recently grew up. Two nights ago, in fact. I used to be a year old, very small and chubby. But now I shot up in height, and I grew a chest! It feels so ackward sometimes, but I think I've mostly gotten used to it.
I desperately want to find Mephiti and Procyon again. I sit in my chambers sometimes, just listening. I hear whispers of conversations, but nothing I can recognize. I do hope there are more Moon Court Fey in this castle than just the other three I've met. I want to hear their stories...
I shall find more Moon Court children, even if it takes weeks.

Quote: Journal,
I''ve been sitting quietly in my chambers, listening to the sounds of Castellum Umbra. I have come to find that there are more Fey in this vast place, I have heard their conversations. I cannot find them, though. One is male, and the rest I''ve heard are female. Are there really so few men in the castle? I haven''t even seen one...
I don''t mind sitting and reading. It keeps things quiet around my chambers to let me listen to things. My kithain brings me as many books as she can, and she brought me a strange mechanical device that allows me to communicate with her, even if she is not in the castle.

It''s a hyper creature, and I have to tell it to be quiet. Luckily for me, it listens most of the time.

Procyon slipped out of her room, shutting the wooden door behind her carefully and as quietly as possible. She had been feeling restless all cooped up in her room, and had decided that it was time to have some fun. Walking quickly down the hallway, she sidled up next to Dionaea's door.
She knocked quickly on the door, and waited for an answer, hoping her friend would be there. Dionaea was the perfect exploring partner, and the two of them together had the skills of a perfect rogue. It was time to learn a bit more about the history and Fey of the Moon Court.

The flutter of wind and feet against stone made Dionaea jerk up from her book. Someone heavier than she'd heard previously was lurking outside her door. She could not tell who it was, for they made no vocalization. But still, just to be safe, the flytrap crept up to the door and whispered.
"Who is there?"

Hearing movement inside the room, Procyon was relieved to hear the whisper from Dionaea. Her ears twitched a bit as she listened, knowing that Dee was very cautious about people coming to her door.
"Dee, it's me, Procyon. Open up...I have an idea for you." Smiling to herself, Procyon could imagine Dionaea sitting in her room for hours, just listening to the sounds around her. She then wondered if Dionaea had grown up too...certainly she'd be a beautiful teenager.

Yes, yes, of course! Her wonderful friend Procyon! She had grown up so suddenly, had her raccoon friend done so as well? Opening the door, anxious to see Procyon again, Dionaea stepped out. Gasping at Procyon's beautiful growth, she congratulated the other Fey.
"Procyon, you grew too! You look fantastic!"

As the door opened to her, she hardly recognized the lovely young woman who was standing in front of her. Of course the hair was familiar, as well as the markings, and it dawned on her that it was in fact Dee.
"Well my lord, you sure have filled out! You're gorgeous!" She smiled at her friend, and opened her arms to hug her. Though it hadn't been too long, Procyon was amazed at how quickly they both had become teenagers. "I think this is quite improved over our kid appearances. At least now we can get around more easily. Can I come in?"
She motioned to the inside of the room, wanting to be somewhere a bit more secretive when she decided to reveal her ideas to Dionaea. She'd spent a long time thinking as of late, and was curious about the Court in which she was growing up. It was time to gather some information, and Dee was perfect to accompany her in this mission.

Dionaea gladly returned the hug. It was wonderful to see that her best friend in all the the Moon Court had been going through the same changes as she. Procyon would know exactly how it felt to suddenly grow and not know what was going on. But the sound of a plan made Dee want to conspire as well. "Please, Procyon, make yourself at home. What kind of a plan do you have?"
The venus flytrap Fey cleared off her bed, which was littered with books and assorted gifts her Kithain had given her. When it was clear, Dionaea motioned Procyon to sit.

Procyon felt even closer to Dee now that they were teens. She knew she could trust Dee with all her secrets, and her life for that matter. She would be the perfect companion for her adventures, but only if Dionaea agreed to such things. That part would probably take the most convincing.
"Thanks!" she said, crossing the room and sitting down on the now cleared bed. She couldn't help but glance at all of the objects that had been there before Dionaea had swept them away. "Looks like your kithain came recently," she giggled, taking a closer look at the objects. "Mine stops by to give me things sometimes too. She acutally has come through with something quite fabulous." She reached for the sheath that was now strapped to her calf, and pulled out the dagger that Sizzla had gotten made for her. It was perfect for Procyon: It had a leather-wrapped handle, with fur coming off of the crossguard. The blade was very sharp, and tribal markings had been carved into it in black.

"It's perfect isn't it? I absolutely love it. My kithain sure knows how to make a girl happy." She giggled a bit again, turning the blade over in her hand. After she'd gotten enough of looking at it (she did this often, ecstatic with the gift), she resheathed it, and scooted over on Dee's bed, sitting indian style facing her friend.
"Well, I've been thinking that we need to find out more about the Moon Court. I'm quite curious about our history and our feud with the Sun Court. We were trapped in the windows when we were very small, so I don't have much memory of what happened before...All I can recall is my time in the window..."
She looked Dionaea in the eye, as serious as she could be when typically she was a fairly bubbly girl. "Shall we find out more? Have you heard anything through the castle walls as of late? I never see anyone around...The castle seems so lonely."

Dionaea cast her eyes over the glorious dagger Procyon's kithain had given her. Indeed, it did seem quite perfect for Procyon. It even had a tuft of fur that matched Procyon's in every way. The gifts her Kithain had given her were not weapons, but useful nontheless.
"Yes, I agree. I would like to know more about our origins, as well as the source of our hatred towards the Sun Court. While I've been in my chambers, I did manage to discover that there are three more females and one or two males still in the castle. Far away, but they are there. Older than us, most of them are. Only one still has a hint of adolescence in her voice..."
That was all the information she could gather by herself. She's never tried sneaking around on her own. But with Procyon there, anything was possible. She gave a bright smile. "So, Procyon, when do we leave?"

"I'm ready whenever you are," Procyon smiled, excited about their potential adventure. "What kind of preparations do you think we may need to take? I'm just not sure of the people here...or what their intentions are. I feel suspicious for some reason, but maybe that's because I don't know anyone but you, 'Phiti and Pteryx."
Procyon thought about Dionaea's careful assessment of the others within the castle walls. "I think I'd like to meet them, and possibly ask them questions. Have any of the voices seemed more friendly than the others? Maybe we should start there...I'm not sure if I'm ready for any major confrontation..."
Standing up, Procyon stretched, still a bit weary from her long night's sleep. She was feeling energized and refreshed, and was ready for a bit of reconnisance.
"Shall we?" she turned to Dee, motioning for her to prepare as well. "We shall get a move on as soon as you're ready."

Dionaea stood and walked next to her partner in crime. Thinking about Pteryx and Mephiti, she wondered if they grew as well. Seems to odd that they had not seen anyone in such a long time.
"There is one voice I do not trust; one voice that filled me with fear. A female, older woman. I get the distinct feeling that she is not to be trusted, despite our being form the same court. But, regardless, meeting everyone sounds like a wonderful idea. Do you remember where the other chambers are, or should we sneak like we used to?"
Dionaea gave a short giggled, remembering her waddling days behind Procyon, so strong and graceful. And the candlesticks.

"Aah, could the woman be a traitor? Let's hope the Moon Court is strong and smart enough to know of this woman's intentions...We don't need anyone else causing trouble within the court. That could only lead to problems, and it seems that we need to be united...for something, though I'm not quite sure what. We need to find out more about the Sun Court and the tension between the two."
Pulling the wooden door open, Procyon stepped out into the hallway. "Well, we probably don't need to sneak around too much...We're out for information gathering, right? Maybe the sneaking around will come in handy if we hear something. But until then, let's just walk down the hallways and see what we can find. I've barely been out of my room, so I'm not quite sure where everyone and everything is."
Motioning for Dee to walk next to her, Procyon was ready to go...

Dionaea gladly followed Procyon down the hall. They'd make an unbeatable pair, she thought, what with a spy and a thief. She wasn't sure if the woman she had heard was a traitor or not. Perhaps she was just more...devoted to the Moon Court than the rest of them.
"I do hope we run into Mephiti or Pteryx again. I'd love to see them. Where do you think they could have gotten to? The castle cannot be that big..."
