Johnny looks like Cruella DeVille in these pics. XD
Does anyone know what the rating is going to look like? I heard rumors it would be rated R, but I would think Tim Burton would know that more people would be able to see it if it was PG-13.

*gaps at the Sweeney Todd pictures* Yes!! Oh my gosh I can't wait!!!
Okay so yeah…I was obsessed with this musical when my high school did it last year as the fall musical…it was so cool! I went to every single performance we held…I even got one of the techies to give me the original soundtrack so I could burn a copy! (and still listen to it today baby!)
Of course at this time I was obsessed with Johnny Depp and Tim Burton as well, and had been for some time….so that summer when I heard they were going to be doing Sweeney Todd I nearly fainted (along with about all of my friends…lol)
So YAY!!!!

HAHAHAHA, now I can't take those pictures seriously (well, until the movie comes out and I get scared into it xD)!
I'm guessing that the rating will be 14A at most if Tim Burton goes all out with the blood and guts and gore...
But I'm leaning more towards PG-13, because it was a musical before that all ages could attend, and Tim hasn't had too many films rated higher than PG-13. =P

Soooo so so so so excited!!! I saw the broadway production with Michael Cerveris and Patti LuPone, and I immediately became a diehard fan of the musical. Tim, and Johnny doing the movie version together is like a dream come true! Really!!! And... Alan Rickman is Judge Turpin. Love that actor. Even the extras rock, Anthony Stewart Head anyone? He's got a killer voice and is my favorite Buffy librarian (also the only Buffy librarian, but whatever).

It looks absolutely wicked! 8D
I found one that's a bit larger, if anyone wants to read the cast and crew at the bottom. =)

angel_of_joy is it just me or does he have edward hair again!!! Haha, I know! It looks very Edward-esque, minus the white streak. I remember when I first saw the pictures of him leaving the filming location I was like "Edward...?!" xDD

I'm so excited about the movie now. My mom is a little creeped out by my interest after I told her what Sweeney Todd was about. Even if its rated R, I'm definately going. Helena Bondham Carter was great as Bellatrix in Harry Potter: The Order of the Phoenix. So I'm happy shes in this.
Johnny is singing. Squee! I am likely to spazz in the theater. Now to go watch Ninth Gate(my friends parents bought it for me yesterday).

the only thing that makes me somewhat disappointed with this movie is that people will see it not because it is based on an absolutly wonderful musical be the ledgendary Sondheim, but because Tim Burton and Johnny Depp nearly have a cult following. not to mention Allan Rickman. if only people knew the wonders of sweeney todd before Tim Burton picked it up.
Tobias
Attend the tale of Sweeney Todd. His skin was pale and his eye was odd. He shaved the faces of gentlemen who never thereafter were heard of again. He trod a path that few have trod did Sweeney Todd the demon barber of fleet street. He kept a shop in London town. Of fancy clients and good renown and what if none of their souls were saved they went to their maker impecably shaved. By Sweeney, by Sweeney Todd the demon barber of fleet street.
Company
Swing your razor wide! Sweeney, hold it to the skies. Freely flows the blood of those who moralize. His needswere few, his room was bare. A lavabo and a fancy chair. A mug of suds, and a leather strop, an apron, a towel, a pail, and a mop. For neatness he deserves a nod, does Sweeney Todd, the demon barber of Fleet Street. Inconspicuous Sweeney was, quick, and quiet and clean he was. Back of his smile, under his word, Sweeney heard music that nobody heard. Sweeney pondered and Sweeney planned, like a perfect machine he planned, Sweeney was smooth, Sweeney was subtle, Sweeney would blink, and rats would scuttle Sweeney was smooth, Sweeney was subtle Sweeney would blink, and rats would scuttle Sweeney was smooth, Sweeney was subtle, Sweeney would blink, and rats would scuttle Sweeney was smooth, Sweeney was subtle, Sweeney would blink, and rats would scuttle Sweeney! Sweeney! Sweeney! Sweeney! Sweeney!
Sweeney Todd
Attend the tale of Sweeney Todd!
Company
Attend the tale of Sweeney Todd!
Sweeney Todd
He served a dark and avengeful God!
Company
He served a dark and avengeful God!
Sweeney Todd
What happened then, well that's the play, and he wouldn't want us to give it away...
Company
Not Sweeney Not Sweeney Todd The demon barber of Fleet... Street...

It's funny how people remember him...so everyone's psyched...Alan Rickman too...! right?...I love him...so it should be a good movie...I hope...
