(( Mm, sorry for the late run, kind of long, too. *Shrugs* ))
"What? Now? What the hell for?" Cranky and annoyed, a spotted feline slammed one fist against the pale blue wall of her bedroom. She had just gone to bed! It was the early morning, for god sakes, why would someone be calling at such a late hour? And after having a frustrating job that night, too, she had been looking forward to sleeping all day long! "Fine, what ever." Mew slammed the phone against the hook. But she was so tired that she just couldn't rise, so, she decided it could wait a while.
After an hour or two, Mew re-awoke to the sounds of clashing pans. Yin must be up, since no one else beside herself and Yin cooked. Sitting up slowly in her bed, she slipped her bare clawed feet over the side, and rose to her feet with a wobble and a slight tiresome struggle. "Sahra." She mumbled, pawing open her daughters door, "Re, get up, you have to go to D-Corp." But no one answered. "Sahra?" She called, eyes darting about. No one was there, great.
"Um, Mew," A dark coloured cat said cautiously to the early riser, "Sahra ran off a bit ago. She was wearing her bathing suit, so I assume she was going to the beach. She said something about getting Gabby and seeing the sunrise while swimming, or something. But it's after sunrise now, so she should be back soon, least for breakfast--" CREAK. SLAM. The noisy sounds of a door opening and closing could be heard from down below. "--and that must be her now. SAHRA."
Twisting around the stairway, the cheetah blinked as she saw Yin and her mother standing at the top of the steps. What? Her mother was hardly ever up this early in the morning, she had always crashed by now. "Ma? Someth'n up?"
"Yeah, D-Corp called, they want you to go down there, so go. Aja's outside somewhere, find him and he'll fly you there." Muttering something else to herself in what sounded like a whole other language, which probably was, Mew trudged back into her room, and slammed the door behind her.
"Well that went well." Yin said sarcastically, pawing her way down the stairs. "You better go find Aja and get going."

"BYE AJY! And thanks, sorry about Re, he's just getting so big." Waving slightly with one paw, Sahra said her simple farewell to the closest thing she had ever had to a father. "Well, if D-Corp called so early I bet it was urgent, so we better hurry, Re." Padding along, the spotted cat was humming to herself, the end of her tail flicking contently.
Ephrem, who was wide awake for a change, was surveying their surroundings like a hawk. Not missing one little detail, the dragon’s eyes could not focus on one place, but only on several different areas every few seconds.
"Well, here we are." Shoving her long silver tipped bangs out of her face, Sah quickly made her way through a set of doors, holding it open long enough for her lindworm partner to slither in through it.
Re had changed quite a bit, a little calmer now, better yet wiser, and larger, large enough for Sahra to easily ride him. She thought that was something they were supposed to learn, but, she was already one step ahead, since they did it for fun. Although one time when Re had tried it vise versa, well, she got squished.
"Hello?" She called aloud, seeing a few people in the room, but not being sure who she was supposed to speak to.

Ligeia listened closely as the message from one 'Alan Rikery' was read off to him from his father and he looked over to where Vorel was standing. He looked as interested as the owl boy was. They were getting an assignment? He wondered what that meant, was it some sort of homework was the first thing that came to mind and then he heard the part about flying and both he and Vorel went wide eyed. He'd not gotten to ride Vorel in flight before and he himself was just getting hang of his own wings but, "Yes! Alright." He said nodding then looked over at Vorel smiled, "Are we ready to go then?" He asked of him.
Vorel gave a crooning sound of excitement and with a wave to Orpheus the two of them abandon the redhead so that they could go to where they were to report in at, to get their 'assignment' and go from there. Neither had been so exicted before as they hurried off everything they'd been doing before the note arrived forgotten entirely.

Upon reaching their destination Ligeia saw the familiar face from long ago, the one he hoped matched the name of the one he'd come to meet up with. He hurried over to the two of them then looked up at... Alan Rikery?, he recalled his face from the time he'd gone to first meet Vorel when he was still an egg but no name, "We came just as the note asked." He said.
(( my appologies for messing that up. I was half asleep at the time and I wanted to get in a post crying ))

365 looked up from her clipboard, letting out a sigh of releif. A kid with a dragon, that only meant one thing really...
With a smile and grabbing one of the pictures of Talia she stepped forewards, "Hello. I'm 365, The boss left already so I'll be breifing you on what's going on." She wasn't exactly as clever and manipulative as the boss had been, but Sahra didn't really need 365 to have that trait. "Talia, the boss's daughter, went missing at 5 this morning," She passed the paper as she spoke "We're not sure where she is, but we've got people searching the lake, canyon and well.. everything. We need you and Ephrem to search the canyon."
She looked over the dragon, wishing Alan had atleast stayed to do one more breifing so she knew a bit more about what she was doing. "Vivina is already set up to take the upper half of the canyon. You'll take the lowe. Lindworms are easier to ride, since they don't have wings to upset, you just have to make sure your feet don't hit the ground and drag."
She paused as another entered, quickly dropping her last bit of information on the cheetah-girl. "Theres an elevator on the left side of the building, take that down into the canyon and begin searching."
She snatched another paper from the desk as another kid appeared, he was one of the air patrols wasn't he? Mnn. "I'm sorry, The boss had to leave. I'll be explaining everything though." she passed the paper as she had before, casually slipping a glance at Lian to see if he'd caught interest in his older class-mates and their dragons.
"Alright, You'll be flying around the area with Vorel... Keanu's already up there with Ymir." 365 dared to shoot a glance at the man who had been... worrying... if that was still the word for it. "The boss's daughter went missing, and if she was kidnapped we want to be able to spot the culprit before they get too far. Thats why you'll be flying over the area to see if you see anythign suspicious or even spot her." She passed foreward the paper. "She changes color, expecially when she's being emotional." She added in as a side-comment, wonder if Alan had bothered to do the same.
"Alright, so, if you've ever ridden a horse before it's much of the same." She moved foreward, pointing to the dragon's in-between the shoulderblades area. "You'll sit here, your legs tuck under the wings, and since you have wings I'm sure you know how easily they can be disrupted.. so don't move your legs and feet once they're there." She moved her finger along the dragon's wings as she pointed. "Try to keep your wings to your side, and then lean the oposite way when he turns to counterbalance. Don't go too high until you two get used to the new position."

(after this I'll move onto the canyon patrol thread)
Vivina looked up at Alan and nodded as she took in all the information about how to fly Sephayr. So all she had to do was stay still with her legs tucked under Seph. Sounds easy enough - if she could stay still long enough. She wasn't the type to stay still for long periods of time, but then again she would be flying in the air; would that be counted as moving? Shrugging, she looked over at Seph.
The dragon understood what Alan told Vivina. Just as long as the girl doesn't try anything funny, he'd be perfectly fine. Still, how much does she weigh? Something he won't know until they get outside. He looked over at Vivina and nodded to her, confirming that he was ready.
"Ok, we're ready Mr. Rikery! Don't worry, we'll try out best!" Nodding to Alan once more, she told Seph to follow her to the elevator. The dragon huffed a good bye to him and slithered after the sugar glider.

Lian wanted to ask the other kids questions about their dragons but it probably wasn't the best thing to do right now. Instead he just looked over how different the two were. One looked like ice and had wings while the other looked alot like a rock and didn't have wings much less back legs it looked like. Both of them were so big already though, well big enough for the two older kids to ride. Lian moved out from behind 365 to get a closer look at them. Seeing the older kids dragons made him hope his hatched really soon. It'd be so cool to get to ride him, or her, when they got big enough.
Lian looked back at 365 and figeted a bit. This was important since they were looking for the lost girl, but its really hard to wait too.

Ligeia laid a hand on Vorel's head, scratching the frosty one behind his ear and then gave a nod as he looked over the paper handed to him, studying it so that he could get a good feel for what the girl looked like. He didn't think she would be so hard to spot... until it was told to him that she could change colors. That would make things more difficult now wouldn't it?
"Never rode a horse but I think I understand." He murmured to the woman and looked over at Vorel, "You think your ready to carry me around?" He asked.
Vorel's tail gave a sort of lashing back and forth before he crooned at Ligeia, a telltale sign that he would do his best.
"So we are to meet up with Keanu and Ymir then?" He mused to himself, glad that they knew the pair well enough. They should be able to find them easy enough he would figure. Ligeia moved over, giving a little flap so that he could get up on Vorel as instructed, letting the dragon get used to his weight though it seemed not to be much since Ligeia was rather light himself, "Not to heavy?"
Vorel shifted back and forth to get used to the feeling, it wasn't the first time he'd carried someone around luckily for him so after a moment he was giving a sort of nod as if to say he was fine. Both Ligeia's and Vorel's eyes went to the woman as if to see if she had anything else to say before they headed out to meet the other pair.

Meanwhile, Laial had more or less just stayed to hte side as his sugar rush wore off. Even when the egg-guy left and a creepy blonde girl came instead. Actually, he would have gone earlier, but Maji was telling him junk like be polite and stuff.
"And don't try rolling down the canyon to get somewhere faster, it might nick your shell, plus Heiko can't... That's it, I'm off to get some sleep, bye!"
Yes, junk. Wait, wait...she was done! Finally. He ran up to Blondey and tugged on her lab coat. "Where's Talia?" The egg-guy was here and Talia wasn't. Bad.
Heiko yawned and began hopping towards Laial.

"That should be it." She smiled to ligiea, watchign him leave... that just left. Him. her eyes locked on the nautilus child, who seemed to be heading her way.
365 blinked, this boy knew of her? That made thing alot easier. "Uhm. yes, you have a leviathan, so you'll be checking the lake for her... We're concerned she might have gotten down there somehow. I beleive someone's already down there looking for her... and you know how to use your leviathan to swim, yes? You jsut hold onto it's fin with one arm and it leaves you free to go along with him. Though swim too if you can, it makes it easier." She seemed to rample a mile a minute, since this was the last boy on her list... and that meant she could take the poor bored looking boy to his egg. "There's an elevator on the side of the building, jsut head out there and take it down. It'll take you right ot the lake."

Laial blinked, trying to think of the response. "Uh...Yeah, okay, not really, and...wait, can't Talia change color?" How was he supposed to find her if she could change color? Or maybe that was why he was needed? But he couldn't sense things...like that one kid had. Evil giant thing he was.
"Are any others there?" There was a chance that they might send another swimmer... He wondered if Del had her dragon yet. She could probably swim well.

365 nodded "She can, but you should be able to see that... And she knows you, yes? That's a plus. And yes there is one other.. their name slips my mind though." she shrugged, not finding that matter important enough to look up.
It had been a long awkward time for Raja, Bree on the other hand wa squite pleased she had stopped the worry-rant, and currently off in her own world of crazy fantasies. However, somethign caught her eye.
She frowned at laial, somethign looked so familair... "Oh s**t.." she mumbled, as it dawned on her. That was the boy Simon had described... The "Pink pansy a** who started it" as he had so delicatly put it. Now it was Bree's turn to be concerned... Not for Simon nessicarily, but for the boy the techs were litterally feeding to the sharks. Or shark, as it may be. "Raja..." she hissed, trying to keep her voice low so the boy didn't hear her. He was a good distance away, but who knew how much the empty room could echo.

"Ah. Okay then." Yes, she did know him, however...he just hoped she wasn't mad at him for getting her in trouble. Because then she might avoid him, and that would make it harder to catch her. And if they were trying to catch her, then... too much thinking now, should go find talia...wait.... "Talia's missing?" he asked uncertainly. Gah! This wasn't good! With a tentecle-wave to the three adults, he rushed off to the elevator.
Heiko sighed and hopped after him. Couldn't he slow down?! He was going too fast!

Raja had been quietly worrying and barely taking notice of the children who came and went as he stood there. No news on Keanu, shouldn't he be back by now? It had been hours! Certainly no news should be considered good news, but what if he'd crashed somewhere far off and no one had seen him fall, or... or... or. Oh yes, he was still panicing. Happily. For one would think that the man liked it with the way he dwelled on it endlessly. Raja might have done more good going home and turning on the TV with a bunch of bonbons with all the good he could do here.
The main difference was that he'd know faster if Keanu got hurt if he was here. ... And less bonbons.
The feline suddenly blinked looking over at his friend as he heard his name before looking around. There wasn't much here, right? Just a boy he mildly recognized from when Keanu had gotten to see his egg, and... Some woman. Nothing that concerned him. He turned his gaze back to the brown haired woman. "What..?" He managed to keep his own voice down mimicing her behavior. "Did they say something about Keanu?" And what else could Bree have expected the man to ask?

First to return were all the kids that had been in the area, not suprisingly. 365 had taken Lian to see his egg in the meantime.
Laster, Niki rturned with the two preteens; Ligiea and Keanu, and also Narayan. Who's father was called and given a firm talk to about letting kids leave the house without permission by Kat.
