Pyre sprang to her paws and stood regally, chest thrust out slightly, head up, tail arced so her feathers were dispayed in a fanlike show. "Who goes there stranger? Halt and identify yourself!"
"Welcome then Rouce of the Ancient Rocks... A warrior you say? Our pride has no warriors yet.. And with my two daughters, I would greatly appreciate one." She smiled. "Is there anyway I could pursuade you to stay with us for a time?"
Ballad nodded. "Until recently, my mate and I were wanderers... But with the birth of our cubs, we decided to settle down, so yes, the Pride is small... If you do so wish to stay, you are more than welcome... What name do they call you? I am Ballad, King of Temple's Decorations, Mate of Whistle."

Tala walked out into the open, eyes showing a air of confidence.
"i'm am Tala" he said bowing, " and who might you be? the daughter of the king i presume."

A smile formed on Simner's face, and he found it hard to reply thorugh his unexpressed excitement, "I am simply called Sumner, sir. No title, and no mate." He bowed again... for good measure.

Ballad smiled. "Well met Sumner.. Come, we'll head back to the Den so you can meet my mate and the rest of the Pride."
Pyre nodded. "I am.. My name is PyreDancer, I am the eldest of the Princesses. Tala, you said? Well met."
She tossed him a smile, but did not relax her posture, feeling powerful and responsible for the Pride until her parents returned.

Tala gave a warm smile, and stepped up on the rock, head held in a regal fashion. He took smooth steady steps,aproaching Pyredancer. "Pyredancer eh? its a pleasue to meet you."

Rounce glanced around thelands a little. Not beleiving his ears for a second. He was just offered a place in a pride.. he would have something to be a warrior of! "He nodded quickly and got a cubbish look in his eyes, full of excitement.

Sumner nodded, and followed his new king. He had never actually been ot a pride den before, and was quite anxious, pescially because he expected there to be more than just one or two lions there - something he wasn't used to.

((For now, Pyre, Tess and Cas are still babies.. As far as Pride RP... ))
PyreDancer laughed softly and nodded her head. "And you Tala.. Welcome to my Father's Pride, I hope we become good friends... It is nice to meet another cub, one who is not my brother..."
Whistle smiled and nosed the young lad gently. "Good, come along then, we have some food at the Den and you can meet the others."
With a flick of her tail she headed back toward the den, glad to have another cub about, as she adored them so.
Ballad gave a slight flick of his tail, indicating he would like Sumner to walk with him, rather than behind.
"So, have you been wandering this area long?" He asked, ears perking as he noted his mate walking toward the Den with a cub in tow.

Sumner quickened his pace for a moment to walk beside the king, then immediately slowed down to match, "I was a bit farther east, but yes, at least thirty or so moons. I was not aware that there was a pride here." He glanced forward to the den and saw a female with a cub. He could feel his nerves getting jittery, but worked ot hide it, and masked his face with a mask of simple pleasure. He knew that if his nerves got the best of him, he may get chased away.

Ballad smiled. "The Pride is a rather new development.. My mate and I are wanderers, rather solitary actually.. But with the arrival of our family, we decided to settle down, and so we came here... "
He glanced at the Den and felt a swell of Pride. "I'm sure you'll enjoy it here.. The Pride is small..."

Rounce followed after the queen happily. Glancing at who he assumed was the king he immediately knew That this was gunna be a good place for him, he could just tell for some reason.

Pyre grinned. "Thanks, you're awefully charming, aren't you?"
She giggled. "This is going to be fun, I love making new friends."
Whistle smiled at her daughter. "Pyre, this is Rounce, he's a new member of the Pride."
Pyre smiled. "Pleased to meet you Rounce, I'm PyreDancer, and this is Tala.. He's also part of Temple's Decorations."
Ballad smiled at the group. "Tala and Rounce, Pyre and Whistle, this is Sumner.. A wanderer who will be joining our Pride."

Sumner lowered his bulk into a shakey-at-best bow, "Pleasure to meet you all..." he said, trying to force the rumble from his voice.

Rounce smiled and bowed at them all. "It's a pleasure to meet you all, I'm pleased I was allowed to stay," he stared at Sumner for a second then grinned. Maybe he could find a friend in the great bulk of a lion?
