Agent-Sarah The mating ritual can get out of control. The females can throw the males around when they get a little TOO happy or when the male insults them. Agreed. I find that something I think the guys would be like...AAAAAH it's a girl. Scared they'd die just from getting their grove on. Who knows. Could be like one of the ultimate battles in their minds. Good call

VerandiDarkstar Inlay VerandiDarkstar I always wondered what all they did. I thought that they probably workd as cultutral leaders/political types. They preserve the culture and rule the conquered land. They probably also keep the natives in thee conquered areas in line. So, they are probably a mix of politicians, soldiers, spiritual leaders, caregivers, and academics. I hadn't thought about religious leaders. Intresting idea on that one. Think they have other gods besides the main one (paya) and the Dark Warrior (death)? I'm sure they hunt too to keep terriories in line. Young male probably learn the basics of their culture from females. ::thinking:: and more about fighting from their betters once taken on by a clan. Perhaps there ar eother gods in their culture. There were thousands of deities in Ancient Egypt aside from the major canon. Almost every family had their own "guardian deity" in addition to the official canon. It would be interesting if Yautja had the same ^.^ I could see maybe some of that only cause I don't see the egyptions as Hunters really. I do see some female deities in it though having equal power to males. Thoughts?

Meh, I don't see why not as long as it's a good book. All of the books kind of had a female as the lead already afterall, it was just a human.

Meh, I don't see why not as long as it's a good book. All of the books kind of had a female as the lead already afterall, it was just a human. Hadn't totally though about that aspect. Guess most had to be male cause lead human was female. Hence the juxtapositioning. I guess if it was about females the main humans would have to be male to keep some kind of consistancy.

This is partially just to bump this up for further comments, but I'm not even sure Paya was the name of oen of their gods, it seemed more like they used it like we use deity.

As for reading a book with a female Pred as the lead character, I don't see why not either. I read books because they're interesting and an enjoyable relaxing pastime, not just because they have male Yautja as the main characters. Just as well or there wouldn't be that many books for me to read.
Oh and I agree, if a female Pred were to board one of their ships, somehow I don't think any of them would be game enough to throw her off. xp
