((Quick note, I don't think Fao knew there was a fairy in the vacinity, so here we go.))
Fao was out of ideas. The girl had visibly flinched when she had spoken loudly, so she kept quiet. A fairy (how did a fairy get here?) was healing her now, and Fao was too exhausted to do anything but flop onto the floor with a relieved sigh. If anything could save the kid, a fairy had the best chance.
Fao realized she was a very negative person.

((Eek. Apologies for my bad posting habits. Oh, and just as a note--the translation amulet has been burned into her skin permenantly. Gross, yes, but that means she can understand you all 100% of the time now.))
"Oh," Anise whispered in surprise.
A deep, relaxing warmth started to spread throughout her body. It was different from the painful buzzing fire--it almost felt like a soft blanket being laid over her, but on the inside. Her headache slowly receded, along with every other pain and ache in her body. She stopped twitching, and let her head fall back onto the pillow. Closing her eyes against Fabel's confusing brightness, she lay there in the warmth, unable to bring herself to move or say anything or even think. For now, it was simply good to be calm...
Inside of her, It screamed. And It screamed. But the shell couldn't hear It anymore. It screamed at her until it couldn't scream anymore for fear of extinguishing itself. Disgusted, it retreated back into it's solitary darkness, and threw itself against the walls of the shell's mind...It knew it's time would come...
Anise opened her eyes. She flexed her fingers underneath the tapestry, and blinked at all the familiar and unfamiliar faces that she could finally see and understand. She took a deep breath, and looked at Fabel. Somehow the existence of a small, violently pink fairy didn't surprise her as much as it should have. "Um, thank you...I feel...much better." Anise cleared her throat. It was still a bit raspy from disuse. "Er...can I have some new clothes, please? This, um...this thing is a little itchy," She said, blushing and looking at the large, stiff tapestry that had been draped over her.
Carefully, she flexed her left arm, examining the bright orange color her veins had now taken on. She knew what had happened. She could still remember flashes of it, especially towards the end when she had been freed. And she could feel It still pushing against the inside her mind. But even though she could feel her mind starting to clear, and her body starting to work once more, it was all a little too much for her to comprehend. So she put it out of her mind, and made sure to keep her left arm away from anything flammable.
Anise looked around the room once more, and silently wondered to herself. This was the kind of thing that happened in 800 page fantasy novels and weird online RPGs, not stuff that happened every day in the middle of the city. Where in the world was she, that these sort of things could happen? Her eyes found Sryne, who was looking decidedly worse for the wear. She gasped, remembering how he had been before all of this...mess had taken place, and, with difficulty, she restrained herself from springing up to hug him. "Sryne! You're...OK?" She phrased the last part as a question, taking in his tattered appearance with a worried glance.
