yea for me it hapens sometimes that ithink that someone is talking in japanese right after i've ben whaching an anime... i also remembered afte i whaced all the Elfen lied episodes in a row everything started to look so unreal as if i whas part of an Anime show razz

I've got that stuff going on too... I mutter to myself in Japanese, I think in Japanese, I write little notes/notations in Japanese, I even have a hard time talking in english, almost to the point where i'm talking in engrish... it's quite funny... even right now, when i have my back turned to the TV, with RahXephon playing in Japanese, I just let it wash over, and I understand a lot of it.

ah hahaha!!! thats kinda of funny sometimes it happens . When your brain gets use dot the change in how words are puonuonce di think wehn you chnage that quickly bakc into english that it oculd sound blury and timez hehe

Ugh, I remember that back when I studied Spanish in high school, I got to the point where I could read/think in Spanish without involving any English at all. It was great.
But now, with Japanese, no matter what I read, I keep coming up with English translations, even though I'd like to just read in Japanese without resorting to English at all. I'm worried that it comes from all of the doujinshi translation work that I've done, and now I've formed some horrible unbreakable habit of automatically translating everything I read. sad

akirakurosawa111 I think of course because wiht spanish the words are acutlaly in english but have the acents Dude, have you studied Spanish at all? It's not like you just take English words and stick an 'o' on the end of all of them. neutral It's not that I have trouble reading Japanese - I know perfectly well that as long as I recognize all the kanji, I can read and understand without having to involve English at all. I just can't help providing myself with an English explanation of what I'm reading, when there's no reason to even do that.

Its amzainglgy able to chnage quick and respond to chnage in ways that are fantastic so your mind gets used ot it sometimes i feel like everytim ei learn japanes ei start to lose my grammer in english and such crying

There really isn't anyone in my town who's interested in Japanese. There are a bunch of really weird wannabe-otaku though who pronounce the names terribly, like i-ni-asha or kyuh (for Kyo from Fruits Basket). So I don't really have even close to enough practice to being able to think in Japanese or see things as Japanese because there is NO Japanese in my town.
We have an online course for it in school (which is what I'm taking this year! yay!) but that's about it.
We also have a very large number of kids who are in the 'gangster' trend right now and think very prejudiced thoughts about Japan...that won't even look at anime even though they've never ever tried it. I wish I could smash in their faces for being so prejudiced, but I suppose I'll have to be content with them just missing all the fun stuff.

ANIMEFAN93 anyone here ever watch your fave animes in japanese and then when your done watching it, it sounds like everyone is speaking japanese? confused question hm well not really, although when I watch a lot of anime, I tend to talk to people in japanese even if they talk to me in french (because it's my mother language)
