I love his single lines. You have a whole episode and he just stands there looking nasty, and then... A beautiful one-liner!
For example...

Well there is the part that instantly made him my favorite character...Its the part where he killed that guy in the forest of death and he was standing under that umbrella while blood rained down upon him...I just thought...Oh My Lord this guy kicks some major a**...And he's wearing eyeliner...I have a guy in eyeliner fetish so yeah....Actually when I started watching the anime I just wanted to find out what happened next after the english manga ended but I started at episode 20 because thats the first one with my beloved Gaara-Sama in it. And in the Gaara vs. Lee fight I was actually trembling...And I cried over Gaara and lost sleep over him on more than one occasion.

My fav Gaara moment is when he's fighting Lee in the chuunin exams, and the sand falling from him and he licks his lips. It's creepy but so cool. But then again anytime Gaara's on srceen it's my fav...

MY FAVORITE GAARA SCENE... (spoiler)
is after he battles Naruto and he suddenly becomes nice.. then he APOLOGIZES to Temari and Kankuro! (for being mean and threatening to kill them all the time). He actually says "I'm sorry" to them! biggrin
