Kara Kazeneko My afternoon and evening might have been awesome, but man did the morning suck. I was to meet a friend of mine at the ferry terminal (who's a member here, called "Transformers Starscream"), but she never showed up thanks to her mom deciding to drive straight there and not wait... >_< Anyway, when I got there, I felt sick and hadn't had any breakfast. Then the same horrible thing that happened to me last time I went to SC happened - seeing all the nice couples and friends there made me get this overwhelming feeling of painful loneliness that made kick a wall last year. This year, all I did was sit under a payphone near the Emerald Room and kick the wall - not as hard as last time, thank goodness. If it wasn't for running into my friends from Denver who love Yu-Gi-Oh, I'dve gone ballistic..... Ouch. That doesn't sound like much fun at all.

I cosplayed as Gaara with no gourd (because I am a loser) and I was awesome! Maybe some of you guys or gals saw me play in the DDR tournament.

BryceDraven Hey, I could volunteer for security if I knew a little more about it. I was a Security Guard/Manager for a year before going to College. ^_^ But I might wait till the year after because I should atleast visit it first as a visitor before I try to go for any postions. 3nodding Yes indeed. experience the con as a normal con goer first then try staff, don't jump feet first into the fire muahaha. I actually went as a regular con goer my first year, but as I was trying to avoid one of my room mates I ended up volunteering in my brothers program department a lot. It was fun and I enjoyed it but there is so much to do so many people to meet and take pictures of (I take pictures of cosplayers).

Brad Meine Corbiko I was on staff and a security person would not let me pass in a hallway even though I had my staff badge and everything, he wouldn't even tell me what was going on and I was in a hurry. When i saw the stretcher and EMT's I finally figured it out, but if he had just said, "hey we have a situation I have to ask you to wait," or "Stop! we're having an emergency!" he would have been more effecient, instead he was being really annoying and only pissed me off. OMG, I remember that. Was that when they were escorting Lupin out on the stretcher? I heard he vomited all over himself or something... I don't remember who it was didn't really see him, I just know he had passed out from drinking like a fifth of tequila or maybe vodka over at the double tree with his friends (they were all underage). At least, that's what I heard.

gremlins2000 what the hell's sakura-con Sakura convention, previously known as Baka-con is an anime convention where people who like anime meet pay money to attend, watch new releases, animated anime music videos made by fans, play ddr and paraparaparadise as well as various other games, play table top games, role play, play video games, eat food, meet the creators, voice actors, composers Japanese and American of various video games, movies and tv shows. If you really want to know some one posted a link to the web site just type in Sakuracon.org into you address bar and press enter, should take you right to it, or at least somewhere close. BTW if anyone wants to be staff, I believe the deadline is next thursday (at least if you want an awesome staff badge picture as well as some other things).

I have been to Sakuracon twice and it's very great. Didn't get to go this last year because of some stuff. But I am absolutely going to go this next year. biggrin xd heart biggrin

I went and i wasn't really recognized because i went as Aunt Haruka, that would make me..unrecognizeable by the masses. I went with Edea though, and it was easy to find her. Just ask where the girl with the kick butt back piece was. But i also went to Kumori con..there i went as a character from gatekeepers 21, and had a kick butt red sword..even though it wasn't really recognized.

W00t! I'll be there as usual, I've been to every single Sakura-con as well as the last year it was Baka-con and I've been staff almost every year as well... I can't wait, I'm planning a Wario Ware cosplay with my friends XD
