What is tendonitis?
I broke my ankle in cheerleading 2 years ago... it hasn't effected my dancing too much but there are times when I get pain in my ankle and the leg.
I also have bad knees >.< they creak sometimes if you listen to them hard enough. It's hard because they hurt when ever i have to squat and it doesnt help that my school is 2 stories, or that i have stair in my house. I think it might be juvinile arthritis or something like it, i haven't gotten it checked out yet. Honestly i kinda dont wanna cause i HATE doctors >.< and the irony is i want to be a pediatrician(if i don't major in dance which is still possible)...how odd

I was in ice skating before I was in dance. I was doing drills with a friend, and a hockey player ran into me and really messed up my right knee. Well, then the rink closed down, so I started dancing. But about a year ago, I got new Pointe shoes, and they hurt my knees so bad, so I went to a doctor and he told me that it'd just be best that I quit dance altogether. So I'm still mad (That was a lil over 6months ago). >.< *grr* lol

And there is no way in hell that i can quit dance... I'd cry my eyes out for a gazillion months. Its like the only thing i have left to do. And I want to letter in dance (special)

i found out last week that i have a slipped disk in my back, which is a load of pain, and so now i can't tie my shoelaces some days let alone dance. And i have the national championships in a month, so a years worth of preparation has just gone down the drain. It's incredibly frustrating.

I tore legiments in my knee, causing it to be bad the rest of my life awhile back. Well, I know have to wear a knee brace due to doing colorguard and dance. Now, my calf in making up for my knee being bad, and the muscule is starting to pull way from the bone. I have to keep it wrapped to. Now I can't do leaps as well, or anything really.

I hurt my knee earlier this summer and wore a brace till it healed (no doctor)
It started acting up again during tennis season so I put the brace back on and today I dove for a ball and fell on it twisting it weird.
So it's all swollen and yuck, I have to go to a doctor soon.

I have tendonitis in both knees. It sucks so bad. I can still dance but I have to go to physical therapy 'til it gets better, to strengthen my quads and hip muscles so that it takes the strain off of my tendons.

bbah, that is not as bad, i had one where my teacher was trying out something on me, she wanted to jump of myy back while I was in plie, she started running and went to ;put her foot on my back/spibne so that she could jump over me, but here foot missed and instead landed on my back ribs. AHHHH, I felt this piercing pain, I at fiorst thought she took it out and may have fractured my rib, it hurt so badly, . And I am not fooling around

My ankles are always giving me trouble. I really messed them up from snowboarding. I've had to give up snowboarding because I really can't afford spending another month not being able dance, half a year of not really being able to dance or even walk right, and not being able to go up on full pointe in a recital.

About 3 years ago I was doing somthing in tap and just remember hearing my leg pop. Later that night in jazz class we were streching and it was painful to strech out my leg. I went home and put ice on by the next day it was fine. We were getting ready for competition and in every dance I had either a high kick or a right split. Well, a few weeks after my leg had acted up it was time for the annual school talent show. I decided to do my solo. The night before the talent show they always do a run throught so people can get used to the stage. They always started with the littel kids and worked there way up so I just showed up a littel late. The woman in charge said ok your the only person who hasn't gone yet you need to go on and go. I told her to let me warm up and she went back to the side to try and fix the speaker. Not even three min. later she came back and said okay you need to go. I tryed to get her to let someone else go that wanted to redo theirs. She insistead that I go. Half way through my routine I do my split and fill pain rush into my leg. Well, I finish my dance gather my stuff and before anyone can say anything I'm gone. By the time my parents and I get to the car I bust out crying. My dad checked it and it wasn't ripped but it came close. We went and got some ice and ibprofen(sp) and went home. Not only did I do horribly the next day at the talent show, I couldn't do a real right split or high kick the rest of the year. The sad thing is, it's been 3 years and I still can't get my split back.... crying

I've broken my arm while I was in tap class. I was little bitty and my mom forgot to put those things on the bottom of my shoes to keep me from slipping and I fell and tried to catch myself. I broke my arm in two places and I had to drop my baton solo! sad
I also have tendinitis in my right knee from me slipping on ice about a year ago and injuring it pretty badly, so now I have to wear a knee brace only on occasion when it flares up.
Right now I have a pulled muscle in my back that I won't let heal completely and I keep repulling it...heh sweatdrop I don't rest it enough even though I think I have... I'm an idiot sometimes.
