Kickable Puppy Elanchana K-Mage During Masquerade (Broadway) alls I could think of was: "Holy *BLEEP*! The skull MOVES!" I wonder how they did that... Obiously a machine, or a bar attached to the wearer's mouth, and when he moves his jaw, the coustume moves along with it. I'm assuming it wouldn't be THAT hard, since why so silent is pre- recorded..... Sorry for the typo-s, I slammed my finger into a car door and got stiches crying Whatthe--? Why So Silent is prerecorded?

Last night when I was watching Poto, when Erik is rowing the boat... I had the funniest thought that one of the candleabra holders that are shaped like an arm came to life and took the bot row paddle and hit Erik over the head with it. It was quite funny inside my own mind anyways...

Elanchana Whatthe--? Why So Silent is prerecorded? Yah. Why So Silent, the Phantom's notes, and most of the title song are all prerecorded in most shows. Some productions and tours have the Phantom VO the notes live, but Why So Silent and the Title Song are always prerecorded; the former because there's no way the Phantom could sing clearly under that skull mask and the latter because the actors are getting into position backstage for the first part of it.

Really? The title song was prerecorded? I figured they would sing that one. Why so Silent is understandable though...

I was watching the performance in Las Vegas. And well, I didn't really think anything specific... but in the music of the night, when he sings "Let your fantasies unwind!" he turned to the gate thingy... you know... and out-stretched his arms, then turned back to the audience and kinda splaied himself against the bars. Highly suggestive. twisted Kinda that kinky- tie me up- kind of thing... I giggled.

They do that in every production, not just Vegas. And the title song is prerecorded because the Phantom and Christine are getting into position offstage through the first part of it, and it would be impractical for them to be singing while climbing ladders or getting into the boat. For those who don't know, the first Phantom and Christine you see coming down the travelator are actually doubles lip-synching to the recording. The real actors either come out when the Phantom and Christine disappear briefly around the side of the travelator, or in the boat, depending on the theatre. The reason is because there's simply no time for the actors to get from down-left on the stage floor- where they are at the end of AoM- to the top of a travelator on the opposite side of the stage.

Whenever I watch the PONR scene from the 2004 Gerard version of the movie, I always laugh out loud. I don't know if you guys have ever noticed, but when Gerard is singing, a lot of the time his Don Juan mask covers his top lip, making you only capable of seeing his two front teeth. It just makes me laugh so much, I keep on going 'Wow. Mickey Mouse of the Opera'. At the most passionate part of the song (Christine, that's aaallll Iii ask of DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN!!!) When he's singing, and his voice is so sad and he's almost crying, and his two front teeth are like 'RAWR ph334 m3 big teeth! RAWR'. I laughed so hard.

In PONR at the end it sounds like he is saying 'Chriffpstine. That's all I ask of--'
My mom pointed it out and I started laughing so hard. It's like he's Daffy Duck!

|Love me|
When Christine and Gerik fall through the trap-door, her dress flies up. I instantly thought, "Panty-shot!"
