Written in a little blue book...

May 2, 2005: 3:55 PM

I didn't write yesterday, because I was a bit tired when I finally got home... It was a draining experience! Certainly it was. Yes, Kaji and I finally got out to the Eden building again, and met a new person, named DiYanni.

DiYanni had an Eden leaf of her own. I wonder what it'll turn out to be? Its name is Madeline, but we don't know what its soul is. Di said she doesn't move much... I kind of think that maybe it's a plant spirit of some kind. Plants don't move much, right? Would make sense to me...

Kaji saw Raven again, but the little girl seemed really upset. I think he made her feel a little bit better, though... At least enough to start crying. Then he started crying. And of course Bird and I panicked somewhat, and DiYanni had no idea what to do... I guess you just have to learn as you go, huh? Yeah. Seems that way to me...

Turns out Raven was upset because of something a butterfly said to her when it was caged. Did I mention? She can talk to butterflies! How strange, huh? Anyway, it really upset her... She's got a winged soul too... I don't really blame her. It probably scared her.

The butterfly sort of forgave her, I think... Kaji got to hold Nana for a little while, but made sure to give her back. I think he and Raven make good friends. They hugged while she was upset! It was adorable...

Ah well.

Oh, DiYanni brought up an issue of Kajika making poison... I did a little research today. Turns out that Lehmann's frogs don't make the poison when they're in captivity. Something about the food that they eat in the wild makes poison. So, since it's sort of like captivity here, I'm hoping that Kaji doesn't become poisonous...

That would be bad.

I feel so awful! Kajika doesn't mind, I suppose - he's got the chaos to care for, which he loves, by the way. He's also got Lucien to dote over him, and Lucien loves it. So he's not unstimulated, and he's definately got social interaction...

Still, he needs friends his age. I'm sending out notes to invite people to the house. Playdates, as it were. I really want him to interact with the other Edens.

Le sigh, le sigh.

Bird Draggon

Raven clutched the plushie close, entranced with its bright and soft underbelly. She was in the arms of her mother, being carried across a couple of streets-- Bird hadn't recieved her paycheck and, hence, couldn't afford to waste much gasoline --to reach Jadaria's and Kajika's house. When queried on the plushie, she hadn't shown recognition of the former, but she squealed happily at the mentioning of her friend's name. Raven hadn't seen him in awhile.

Bird stepped up in sandaled feet to the last step to the dwelling, looking around as she always did. Raven wriggled out of her mother's grasp, plopping to the floor and wincing when it jarred her arm. Bird crouched down to help support her, motioning for the toddler to leave the present next to the door; nobody was home.

So she did, and they departed for an ice cream or two.

The note, covering the small plooshie, reads:

Dear Jadaria and Kaji,
Thanks for the note; we've been wondering what on earth you were up to. We'll drop you a line when we have the chance-- other than now, of course.
Raven and I want to thank you for the kitty plushies you gave to her earlier; she loves them. We wanted to return the favor.
Hope we can see you two soon!

"Hey Jadaria! Little Kaji! Got your note!" Feather and Alexander made their way to the said pair's house a short time after they left their own. The girl knocked happily on their door, glad she had a chance to speak with her friend and that Alexander would have a playdate for the day.

"YAY!" Alex cheered, clapping and bouncing around in Feather's other arm, making it harder and harder for her to carry him as the moments pushed on.

Jadaria heard the knock, and scooped up Kajika from his place on the playroom floor; the little toddler screetched in irritation as he was pulled away from his growing pl00shie collection. He quieted though, as his mim shushed him, and hung limply under one arm, whining.

He was getting too big for this...

"Ah! Hello, hello! I'm glad you got my note. Come in, please!"

Kajika blinked at the yellow-clad, winged toddler, eyes suddenly wide.

"Who dat?" he asked quietly, suspiciously.

"Thanks!" Feather replied with a cheerful nod, stepping graciously inside the home. She shut the door carefully behind her, and set Alex down so he'd be able to meet his playdate for the day. "You have a wonder place, Jadaria! Thanks so much for giving me this brea-I mean, giving Alexander something to do other than whine about Raven for the day! I really appriciate it."

Alexander cocked his head at the strange toddler set before him, blinked several times, and crawled forward. His eyes narrowed, he stared for a few momets at the boy, figuring he was a friend rather than a foe. He decided to answer Kaji's previous question.

"My name's...Awex...you are you?"

Jadaria set Kaji down beside Alex, then patted him lightly on the head. "Be nice, Kajika... Tell me if you want to go back up to the playroom, kay?" She smiled, then chuckled a little bit at Feather.

"It's fine... I'm glad you showed up. Kaji needs a friend! At least, one his age, you know?" She grinned widely.

"I'm Kajika," the dark toddler replied happily, flashing a wide smile. He liked new people! Now that he saw that the yellow boy was welcome in the house, anyway. He pulled his feet together, clasped his hands over them, and rocked side to side happily.

"Kaji...KAJIKU!" Alexander squealed, already finding a nickname of sorts for his newest friend. He grinned, as well, mimicking the boy and rocking back and forth, as well. "Play...play with ploosh!!" He was clearly referring to the pile of plushies Kajika had, figuring like most Edens he'd met, he had them, as well.

"Yep! Alex, too!" Feather replied with a smile, plopping herself down onto the couch. "He's been hanging around with women too much, really. It's also good that he's getting actually play with a friend, instead of trying to fly around my living room. It's REALLY starting to take it's toll on my furniture."

"Plooosh?" Kaji crinkled his nose cutely - what was a ploosh? He didn't know what ploosies were!

"He means your toys, Kaji, hon." Jadaria laughed and reached down, patting the top of his head. "I'll go get them for you, alrightly." She looked up and smiled at Feather, then disappeared upstairs; shortly after, she reappeared with an armful of plushies, as well as a brightly coloured bird-creature on her shoulder.

"S'not leafegg... you lie? You no lie..." Kashimi grumbled in irritation.

"I'm tellin' ya, Kash... That's your flying buddy. No flying in the house, though! He's too big!" She plopped the toys in the middle of the floor for the boys, then flopped into a recliner. "Ahhh..."

"Tooooo-iiiieeeeees!" Kajika squealed with joy, then hopped up on his feet and proceeded to hop and bounce his way over to them. "Too-iies. Dees ploosh?" He held up his little snake plushie and wriggled it around.

"They can be a handful..."
PostPosted: Tue May 10, 2005 3:28 pm

"Yes! Plooshploosh it is!" Alex squealed joyously, clapping happily as he watched Kaji play with the snake. He soon produced a plushie of his own, a small kitty plushie, and began to chase after the snake with it, pretending the feline was out for a daily hunt. "RAWR!" He growled, coming hot on the snake's trail.

"Kashimi!" Feather stood up, eyeing the bird. It had been so long since she had seen the little guy! "Yep, that's Alex! He can fly a little now, but not nearly as well as when he was a leaf! Maybe you and him can go outside flying when he's a bit older, ne?"

"oooh.. Plooshploosh!" Kajika squealed with joy, wriggling at the newly discovered word. Another term! Another term! Horrah for vocabulary! He giggled, then pulled the snake along the ground away from the kitty plush, falling into playing with Alexander fairly easily.

"A'ex? No fly good? Me teach him! Me teach. Me fly very goods, yes." Kashimi fluffed himself up a bit, pinching at Jadaria's shoulders.

"Yes, yes you do, Kash." JAda laughed. "When he's older, I'm sure he'll appreciate the lessons." She smiled

"Kitty HUNGRY!" Alex exclaimed, features locked into a fierce grin as he rocketed the kitty plushie forward, closing the gap between it and the stuffed reptile. "MEOOWW!!" He made a sudden lurch forward, making the cat appear if it was in mid-pounce.

"I bet he will!" Feather added, smiling at Kashimi. "You've gotta be careful when you teach him, though! Last time him and Raven went out on a flying adventure, Raven ended up getting hurt!"

"Hissss!!!" Kajika giggled, letting the snake wiggle as prey beneath the merciless kitty-ploosh. "Naaaahhh! Noooo!!" He squealed as the snake was obviously losing the fight. "Kshaaa!"

"No let Alex hurt, no no. Not good, that. Me keep safe, make fly goods again. No fally."

"You're so kind, Kash..." Jada laughed softly and ruffled the bird-creature's crown feathers.

"HISS! FOOD TIME!" Alex roared, smothering the snake plushie by repeatitively smushing the kitty plushie into it, trying to make it look like the feline was devouring it's prey. "Teee! Meowmeow!!"

"Raaaggghhh!!!" Kajika let go of the snake toy, then began to giggle, clapping his hands. "No more snakiiieeee... Kitty hungy." He wriggled, bouncing in place in glee, apparently amused by the 'death' of his ploosh.
