Sora thought about it. What would he do now if desperation called to him again? Or maybe that isn't what she was asking. Oh well, if it meant anything he'd remember it later.

"I don't really know right now. It just started after all! But I hope it's another adventure, it's looking like it is another one anyways. If this was punishment I wouldn't have met a new friend right? I mean...we are friends now...right?" He sounded unsure just because of Larxene's mood, it seemed so bleak.

As he waited for Larxene's responce his eyes focused back on the 'antennae'. They seemed to hypnotized him. Before he knew it he had hopped out of his chair and stepped closer to Larxene. "What -are- those things?" He pointed at the stray hairs on her head. "They look so...cool!"

User ImageLarxene blinked. Friend? When was the last time someone'd called her a friend. She thought about that a moment before it got too depressing to continue.

While she pondered, she didn't notice Sora approaching her, and was caught off guard by his sudden proximity. Her ears tilted back a little and she leaned away from him slightly. Without thinking about it, she raised her paws to protectively cover the strands of hair. "S'just hair. You have it too," she said, eyeing him cautiously as though she expected him to poke fun at her at any moment. It was about this point she realized he'd said they were 'cool'. "Thank you," she mumbled, sounding a tad confused by the compliment. "There's nothing wrong with them."

Sora's bright smile returned. "I like'm!" He poked at his own spikey hair, making some of it fall into his face. He frowned at it in a playful way and tried to put it back in place, only to have it look just a bit-less professionally done.

Taking a hint from her backing away from before, he thought that maybe he had been a bit to forward with saying they were friends, and went back to his seat. "It's okay if you don't want to be friends with me Larxene. I will still consider you a friend!"

User ImageLarxene tipped her head to one side as Sora backed off again. She fluffed her antennae up again and straighted her coat for no reason. Did she want to be friends with the bouncy 'pup'? He seemed harmless enough. And he wasn't annoying or adversarial like the few others she'd met.

After a long pause, she offered quietly, "We could be friends, if you like. That might be ... okay." She sounded oddly shy all of a sudden, like she'd never said that before.

Sora blinked as Larxene spoke this time. She sounded different then she had before. When he first met her she sounded sightly mean, this new tone sounded quite meek and mild. Sora just smiled brightly as if someone had given him a piece of cake. "WHOO-HOO!" He raises his arms in sort of a mock-victory pose, with the force of this his chair tipped and fell backwards with a loud -thud-.

"Oww..." The fall knocked the wind out of him slightly, but he was alright. "I'm ok! Don't worry! Absolutly fine!" Of course as true as this was, he was now highly embarrassed.

User ImageLarxene merely stared as Sora knocked himself over and hit the floor. It wasn't so much because she didn't want to help him, as the spectacle of it caught her by surprise. I have a friend. And he's an oaf.

After the brief hesitation, she scrambled out of her chair to help him up. As she extended her hand to him, though, she looked abruptly confused. It was obvious she wasn't used to helping people (well, obvious to most people anyway - with Sora, who could tell?). "You, uh, you should be more careful. Especially in this place. Lots of ... erm ... stone floors."

Sora happily took Larxene's hand. Who would refuse help from a friend? "Thanks Larxene!" The grin still on his face. "And don't worry, I have a hard head, I'll be fine." He knocked on his head. No real sound was made. But it was plain to see that Sora wasn't 'all their'.

"Betcha never saw anyone do something like that before, have you?" Laughing loudly again, Sora seemed to like making jokes of himself. Maybe it was because he sensed Larxene's nervous nature? Or maybe he was indeed, just an oaf.

User ImageLarxene blinked again as Sora rapped on his head; she seemed to do that a lot around the other creature. His smile proved infectious, however, and she found herself smiling back a little. Given enough time to think about it, she'd probably be alarmed at how 'nice' she was being. She'd also probably realize how lonely it was sitting in the library by herself all day, though it was much less likely she'd admit it.

"No, I can't say as I've ever seen anyone do that. I'm not sure most people would want to do that, however, so perhaps that's why." She eyed Sora a moment longer before retreating a few steps. "Did you want to look for your book? I ... could help you, I guess. I've looked up and down a few of the aisles." The girl frowned slightly. "Though I don't remember seeing anything big enough for a person to get into."

Sora stared at Larxene, his ears slowly drooped. He saw the sad look on her face again. He didn't like that. "I don't think I can find that book here anymore. This isn't the kind of place it would be in. It's a nice place, but not my friends kind of place." That wasn't going to help Larxene's mood at all.

"But if you want, we can check out the rest of the library together! It could be fun!" Maybe that would cheer her up. She seemed to like books a lot, maybe seeing the rest of the halls would be able to brighten her mood. "You said you've only looked down a few of the aisles, we could look at the rest of them together if you want to."

User Image"It's not that nice a place," the girl murmured, adjusting the ties on her coat again. "I guess we could look around, though. I only wandered around until I found that," she said, gesturing at the book abandoned on her chair. "I've been reading that ever since. There're so many books in here, though. I bet there are some other good ones." As Sora had predicted, her mood improved again. She didn't go quite as far as smiling, but she looked almost like she wanted to, which was an improvement over the way he'd found her.

She took a few steps forward, to the edge of the aisle they were in. "I've looked from the door," she said, pointing back the way he'd come in, "to here." This left ... who knows how many other rows, trailing off into the shadowy room. Larxene offered Sora a little smile. "I was just happy to find the chairs by that point."

"Everything is nice in it's own little way, that's what makes life great!" Sora's smile ever present on his face. Taking a few steps over to where Laxene was sitting before he picked up the book and tucked it under his arm. "I'll hold onto it for you so you don't lose it. Hate to have it dissapear on you after you looked so hard for it."

With tail swishing and ears twitching, Sora announced the start of their random book search. "Come on Larxene! I bet we'll find lots of great stuff in here! So much to search and so much time to do it in! A perfect combo, especially cause we'll be doing it together, things like this are boring to do alone." Sora paused as Larxene smiled at him. Putting an arm behind his head and laughing a bit. "Well if you get tired I'll just carry you, I may look scrawny but I'm pretty strong!"

User ImageLarxene smirked again a little at the other's seemingly boundless enthusiasm. She had to admit, looking around the rest of the library might be interesting with a companion. If nothing else, then at least he might spot something she missed that might help them figure out their situation. After a brief pause to consider that though, the girl tilted her head, eyeing his excited demeanor. Okay, maybe he's not likely to spot something...

She smiled a little. "Lead on then. You're the experience adventurer here. I nominate you slayer of scary library monsters," she chuckled. It was a bit hard to tell if she was being sarcastic or not, the way she said it. "Hopefully we won't have to resort to me being carried though. I wouldn't want to shock you by accident."

Larxene's smirk left Sora uneasy, but happy in a way. It was better then a frown afterall.

Sora was smiling up until the point where he heard 'monsters' leave Larxene's lips. "There are monsters in here?! Really? I didn't know that!" He seemed a bit worried, but at the same time it drove his mind into full adventure mode. "Monsters or no! We have a library to explore!" He was about to try and take Larxene's hand to guide her around when the word 'shock' rang in his ears. Seems Larxene has a knack for getting Sora's attention. Putting his hand back at his side he tilted his head and asked "What do you mean by...shock?"

User ImageLarxene held one palm out, face up. After a moment, the air around her hand began to crackle and a small arc of lightning twinkled around her fingers. "Shock like that," she said, matter-of-factly. "I don't do it to people on purpose, unless they deserve it, though." The little smirk returned. "Or ask for it."

She shook her hand out and the charge dissipated. "I can control it. You don't have to worry. I won't hurt you. Well, unless you asked... um ... nevermind. Those library monsters are waiting, right?" She offered Sora a nod and a mischievous grin before stepping out into the main aisle and heading off in a random direction. "I wonder if there actually are any monsters in here? I haven't seen anything, but every now and then when I've been sitting here, I hear sounds," she called back over her shoulder.

Sora tilted his head. Why would he ask to be shocked? ...must be a girl thing, he thought.

Sora followed the grinning female into the main aisle. "Wait up Larxene!" With loud steps he made his way to Larxene. "You mean there might not be monsters?" He sounded relieved sort of, he needed a break from monsters for once. But the fact that she said she heard sounds worried him. "What kind of sounds?"
