Oqaia Leax saw the bright blush, and took it as a sign. He gave Vanna and her happy giggle a soft hug, and held her close- partially for the joy of holding an infant... but also for the sake of keeping her mother from leaving quite yet. "So... is your... husband with you?" Lorelei blinked and shook her head, coming back (slightly) to her senses. "Ah, no - I mean... I'm not married. It would be a little odd, seeing as how the only man in our caravan is as close to a brother as I've ever had. Well... there is one other, but I don't know him well at all."
Vanna reached up and started playing with his hair, blinking her third eye contentedly.

Lor's eyes widened and she tried a few times to say something, but nothing quite made it past the "cute, bashful sound" stage. Her cheeks were the color of fully ripe apples when Vanna made a very definitely affirmative sound, nodding and laughing.
This was certainly not what she'd been expecting!

This was certainly not what she'd been expecting! "Don't fret so," Leax said, low and soft, leaning in with Vanna sandwiched between them. "I'll not do anything you don't want me to." But as soon as he finished his words, he leaned in the rest of the way in an instant, and his warm lips met hers for an instant. Then, he pulled away and left a kiss on Vanna's forehead as well, next to her third, brilliant eye.

Lorelei nodded slightly at his assurance and closed her eyes for a moment, shivering slightly as he kissed her. Odd as it might seem to others, she and Shamira had never actually kissed. Sure, dainty kisses on the palm. Sure, nights curled up beneath the stars. But no actual kisses.
Still, at least her first kiss was still with a gypsy!
When he pulled away, she opened her eyes and watched him, smiling.
"So... ah... how long do you think our caravans will stay together here? I'm... not used to the road, still, or gypsy customs."
Vanna giggled as Leax kissed her forehead, squirming good-naturedly and trying to tickle him with her feathers. She had a feeling that this man was good for her mother, bringing back a sense of intimacy that the woman had given up on. Besides - his nose-kisses were fun!

Emelyn followed suit, taking Pierre in hand and walking up to the first gypsy that she saw that wasn't currently speaking with someone else. Pierre had only a slight scowl on his face- the hedgehog boy, too, was curious about these newcomers.

Heather had been confused when they stopped travelling but she had accepted that they must be taking a rest. Kala, who had decided to trot beside the wagon suddenly jumped upto Heather and let out a small hiss and a snarl.
"Oh shush!" She clipped the cats ear and went inside to pick up Amkia, she had seen Lor and Vanna go and meet more gypsies! She smiled as she left her caravan, petting her horses before she walked forward, wondering who these gypsies were. Kala trotted beside Heather, she never seemed to leave her side even if she was a nuisance! Amkia stayed in her arms though, half asleep.

Caroline, upon seeing the gypsy caravan opposite their own, hesitates at first. The friendly gypsy in her is at war with the sly Spaniard from mother's side. She sits in the wagon seat for a long time, ignoring Cornelius' joyous braying. Suddenly she remembers her conference with Oqaia--that Rojiza may find her voice at the hands of a travelling man. This decides her. She hops down from the seat and walks 'round back to the door of her wagon. "Alright, lassie, there's another caravan about, and I mean to make a new friend, aye? With me?" she inquires, taking Taog's cage and hanging it outside. "We can even take wee Majesty." She pauses to pet the magnificent purple buck on the head. Majesty stands and shakes himself--a bit of a walk outside the wagon would do him well.
Another caravan? Rojiza is excited and nervous at the same time. With a quick look in the mirror to fix her hair, she's ready to go, out the door before her mother can ask a second time. The two walk towards the other caravan, waiting to see who'd come out to greet them, if anyone.

Oqaia "Really? This little sweet thing came from the Marshes? That's a surprise. They're all so secretive there. Some of the ones on the outskirts would talk with us- one of them kept creeping out at night and sneaking into the caravan circle, eating what we'd left in the firepot. He kept asking me if I had a crown, that he wanted a crown. Strange man. ...But deeper in, it was pretty dangerous. There was grey magic everywhere. Bizarre place. ...Why, are you headed there?" "Well, supposedly that's where she came from. That's what I was told at least. I'm surprised she's from there too. A badger can't do much digging in the marshes." Irina shrugged her shoulders and looked down at Kal, who was enjoying everyone talking about her.
"He wanted a crown and was stealing your food? I don't think I'd take that very well," she said, smiling at the blonde girl. "No, I don't think we're headed there any time soon, but I was just curious. It would be interesting to see Kalpana her her home environment. We're actually travelling to the sea now, from what I understand," she added. "Where is your caravan headed off to?"

Marissa smiled and took into Sarai into her arms. She was a little younger than Kale, she guessed, probably unable to walk. Still, if she was gifted with feline dexterity...one could never tell.
"She's beautiful," Marissa said with a warm smile to Stasha, "You're very lucky."
Kale realized he was being talked about and grinned, taking his tail in his hands and petting it with a giggle. It tickled! And then, as if to prove Stasha's theory, he pulled a coin from his pocket with a mischevious smirk, one that Stasha would recognize as formerly decorating her skirt.
"Kale!" Marissa cried when she realized what he'd done, "Iubito, give that back!"

Esperita wants us to get moving westward as soon as we're done with our business in Enallas.... and that just completed. We picked up some new Banyas, had our fortunes read... I think we only stopped for the sake of you. Hopefully, though," he adjusted Vanna on his hip, and smiled, "you can help convince your wagonmother to Fiesta a spell... and I shall do the same with mine."

The gypsy that walked across the divide to speak with Emelyn and her son had a boy of her own- older than Pierre by a few years, with a green-skinned, almost frog-like demeanor, but with eyes just as mischevious. "Hallo there!" The man extended a friendly arm in greeting. "I am Crick, and this is my son Corman."

A middle-aged woman came from her side of the caravan 'V', brushing the dirt on her hands off in her skirt apron. She had a kindly but no-nonsense face, and came with a small but sincere smile on her face. "Semita, I can't imagine having two at the same time. I only ever raised my children far apart. ...Velle," she said, explaining her name with a nod of her head. "And you, child?"

The two walk towards the other caravan, waiting to see who'd come out to greet them, if anyone. A tall man- with hair the color of a dying sunset- came forward. He was alone- no women or children accompanying him across the great divide. His skin was a sultry umber shade, and about his eyes, dark, kohl-like marks showed. There were a few other, mottled spots on his face and arms, but besides that, he looked quite normal. ...Oh, except for the cheetah-like tail, of course. He walked straight out to Caroline and her daughter, a little shy, but not so much that he wouldn't make a beeline for this beautiful woman. "What a sight to see. I thought we'd never come across another caravan on this route. Greetings, friend." His lack of the familiar gypsy "sister" greeting was evident. "I am Trabor."
