I LOVE the American Pie movies. They're some of my favorite movies :3
I will say that when I first joined band it bothered me when people picked and asked me about band camp... (even though I don't play flute)
But not anymore. I just find it funny, and play along.
Besides... our band camp is kinda like that... -_-';
Very dirty things go on at band camp...
Though even dirtier things go on on the band bus...

Somethimes I wish that stupid movie had never come out. Every single band member gets mad we someone starts that whole "One time at band camp...." crap..... ITS SOOO ANNOYING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its like dont you anything ANYTHING better to do than TO NAG ME ABOUT BAND CAMP!!!!!!!!! because band camp is fun and american pie is just stupid^^

It really bothers me too, regardless of the fact that I play the trumpet. I'll be talking about band to a friend and someone will come over asked if you really...(I think you know what comes next)...at band camp. It rally makes me angry.

Well I wasn't rurined by it because I wan't old enough to be at that time. But now the only time I hear those jokes is with my bando friends, or with my orchestra friends, and the first time i ever even heard of that was from a trumpet...

This is a Drum corps so the bus is where we spend a lot of time driving from show to show, and some nasty nasty s**t goes on.

maicuu How many flute/piccolo players got a lot of cr@p from people when American Pie came out?!
I couldn't escape idiots asking if I'd ever done what Allison Hannigan's character says she did in the movie. So gross.
What did you say to their stupid comments?
Feel free to vent your anger here. One of our school's Oboe/flute players said she couldn't play for months after watching it lol

i dont get much crap for it because i dont talk about band to non-band kids because of that movie. but my friend mentioned band camp in a story they presented for english and they got a lot of crap for it. even though they dont play flute and they are a guy. fortunatly they had never seen the movie so they didnt get it. if they did they would have been as mad as i was. some of that movie was funny but most of it was stupid and gross.

GeoffTate101 SesshysTrueLove I found the movie funny. You shouldn't let something fiction bother you, and if you do, then that's too bad. rolleyes I thought parts of it were funny, too, just the whole band camp thing pissed me off. I mean, show me one person that would actually do that to their flute, and I'll stop bitching about it. Another thing is how we, the band kids (flute inparticular), were ragged on after it came out. I know my friends did it. I just slapped them up-side the head for it, or laughed and told them to shut up. I can't tell any of my band camp stories to anyoen outside of the band without shuddering. (Because I have to start them with "One time, at band camp...") Actually, I used to date a girl that did that to a clarinet.

I hate american pie now everyone thinks that people in band are like all about sex. OMG SO MANY PEOPLE HAVE ASKED ME IF I WAS A VIRGAN IT'S NOT FUNNY.
