St Patrick, Daniel O'Connell, Abraham Lincoln, and Theodore Roosevelt are my all time favorite hero types - especialy St. Paddy
At the moment I'm really loving Frydyic Chopin, he was a pretty cool guy - not to mention writing some of my favorite pieces
And, as I'm right in the middle of Les Miserables, Victor Hugo is pretty high on my list currently.

What my esteemed roommate (lindaleriel ^) means up there is Fryderyk Chopin. (I'm not evil, I just like annoying her by correcting her spelling whee ) Anyway, some favorites of mine are currently: Otto von Bismarck Emperor Wilhelm II Ferdinand "the good natured" of Austria (I mean, how can you not love "I am the Emperor, and I want dumplings"??!)

Well, I'm of a undecisive mind, so I've naturally got a couple. First, Queen Hatshepsut of Egypt. Who wouldn't admire probably the strongest female pharaoh Egypt ever had? Second, Leonidas of Sparta, who was killed at Thermopylae. After reading up a lot about the Persian war, Leonidas became my hero. Third, Genghis Khan. He was very cool. I even named by Siamese fighting fish after him.

Presently, my favourites are Julius Caesar and Archimedes.
I love Greco-Roman history--'twas the period that fascinated me most--and Shakespeare wrote a brilliant play about Caesar. ^-^

I have a few that I can think of, but I can't remember all of their names gonk
Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Took everything into his own hands, avenged his leader's death, and completely united Japan. Samuel de Champlain. 'Cause he canoed down a raging river that two boys had shown up dead from going on a few days before in his fricken' underwear to win some native's trust. What's not to love?

Elizabeth I (A strong female leader), Jean D'arc (fantastic person, fascinating), Mozart (his music makes my body and soul leave each other. It's that amazing) and Beethowen (same answer as Mozart. Plus he was a genius AND deaf. That's amazing)

I don't know why, but recently I have been doing alot of stuff about Hitler on these Gaia threads, seeing posts saying he sucks but the person not giving evidence to their reasoning. Yes he was a bad man but lots of good stuff came from his crusade against the jews

Sir Vincent Saladin...he showed those crusader bandits what for... What Crusader Bandits? The Holy Land wasn't Muslim until they invaded and took over. The Crusaders were reacting to Muslim aggression. The Holy Land was the centre of the Christian world 500 years before Islam even existed.

Richard III - maligned by Shakespeare, libeled by More to give legitimacy to a treasonous usurper.
