"That journal is pretty important to you, isn't it?" he asked idly as he walked beside her, towering over her small stature.
He likened her journal to his camcorder, with which he was documenting his so-called 'detox.' Now he wasn't sure whether to continue with his plan, seeing as his video diary would now chronicle his transformation from human to animal. Would he even want to see it happen?
Oz thought now was a good time to be heading back anyways. As he moved from the soft surface of sand to hardened paths, his legs felt a little wobbly, so that was a sign his morning workout was over.

Doe hesitated, opening her mouth to speak after a while, "It is," she replied softly, nodding her head to emphasize the fact.
She didn't know what would happen if she lost her journal, she'd probably freak and not remember a thing after a memory lapse again, perhaps?

The first set of Duplexes were coming into sight now and Oz felt his legs ache even more. He had been pushing himself harder since he discovered his fate on the Island, as a way to distract himself. Doe's journal was probably her way of escaping from life.
"Well, you'll certainly have something to write about later then," he smiled awkwardly. Maybe a lighter attitude would make things easier for her.

"It will...be an interesting entry," Doe replied, her hand caressing the book softly.
Somehow, she was a little reluctant to put the day's events in there, she would have to read it all over again in the morning, but then again, it didn't seem good for people to keep telling her the truth about the island.
