((Welcome to my world. I am here typing pages and you are the only one who cares. Well, at least I have fun writing it and if all else fails, I can post this all up in the fine arts section under "Developing Writing" I am just wondering whether to continue this or not if people are not joining in. Eric was somewhat hopeful about the discussion, up until he had a very painful revelation. It was all just a power play. In time of the greatest weakness the empire had seen since the rule of Ultraverism, the other factions were diving for power left vacant. Unfortunately, the way that this power was wrought was through war declarations. "Diplomats have been sent to Cyprin and the temple in Junoc Tor. We must stay ourselves from rash decision until we have an official response from..." Justin's father was interrupted by a shout from the Ultraverister. "And what if this response is that the Church of Technophilism is completely unrelated? This is either the work of an extremist working outside of the interests of Cyprin...Or we are heading into a civil war. Either way, Curtis, we must plan a reaction." He said grimly, practically staring down Justin’s father. From the look of the assembly, many of the Judicators seemed to agree. Whether it was for personal gain, tactical advantage or divine guidance, Justin could not tell. “I agree that we must prepare to act, but making judgment before we know more is absurd.” Curtis retorted, followed by a soft mutter of agreement from many of the assembled. The Ultraverister nodded and gave a moments thought before replying, “You speak truth, though your thinking may be too wishful to be fully effective.”
((Sorry, follow up soon. Have to go for now.))

((Good post though I like it))
Mackenzie wandered the streets. He was perturbed at the exorbitant price of stables, and couldn't shake off his bad mood. It was made worse by the odd looks and angry yells of citizens as he asked where "the man had been shot today." e did not know if they were simply ignorant of his plight, or if they were pretending it never happened.

Curtis continued to argue, debate and convince as best he could, though after time, it became apparent that his words would be meaningless. "That may be so, Ixal, but you must at least allow diplomacy to run its course before making proclamations. Consider this a trial. Allow the accused a chance to make a case before you condemn them. Prepair as much as you see fit, but do not raise the sword before the pen is set to rest. Any less would be absurd." With that, Curtis took his seat and watched as the assembly worked around the logical bounds he had reminded them of. Justin on the other hand grew more infuriated by the Judicators' lack of discretion. "Father, why not speak more. Convince them of the fallacies of their thought so that an artificial war is not created." He said in an anxious whisper. His father simply stared forward, looking at the proceedings as if he were watching a play and in a measured voice responded, "Because you will never convince a man of anything unless he is willing to believe you." Justin practically reeled from the unintentional spiritual blow his father had sent at him. "Logic has to conquer ignorance. As humans, this assembly has to come to realize the peril of a hastily enacted war. You have to believe that they will." "Son, despite your travels, you have much to learn about humanity and yourself. Humanity is the cause of the greatest and most monstrous things in existence. Evil was created by our hands and can only be washed by those very filthy hands. To press this matter would only harden the resolve against it." Curtis spoke with the warm calm he always held, holding his gaze from his son until he finished speaking. After several moments of eye contact, he continued in a more sympathetic tone. "Cooler minds will prevail, as they always have. Give them time and they will simmer to a manageable point. Until then, my voice can do only ill for a greater good. All that we can do now is have faith." With that, he gave Justin a smile that melted away any feeling of anger or contempt and then he returned his attention to the assembly. Still, the thoughts nagged at the back of his mind, just enough to keep him tense for the rest of the time the Judicators discussed matters of state.
The worst part about being the son of the Arch Priest was that Justin could never win any debate and by comparison, he always felt like a little boy, being told how the world worked by his all-knowing, ever-wise father.

Mackenzie sighed. Apparently, council was being held, and afterwards, he would recieve more information on what happened. It seemed odd he had to waqit, with the technology available to the city-folk. He sat munching a wad of tar, while watching the time.

((Sorry it took me so long Sovi.)) Player: Bristi Name: Alya Mosa Age: 23 Sex: Female Alignment*: Alya believes in a higher power, one that created the universe through the five elements; Earth, Fire Water, Wind and Metal. Because her belief is neither centered on the earth itself, or anything on this earth, but in something greater, she is not Gaian..which would be the closest religion to what she believes. Powers**: Alya's belief grants her power over the elements within the realm of possibilities. For instance, if she were holding a bar of metal, she could ask that it change into a metal weapon. But she cannot ask a stick to become a metal sword. A spear, yes. The combined use of all five elements together is Healing, but it cannot be used to the extent of bringing back someone from the dead. Or rather, it could, but not by Alya. If it does occur, serious crippling or even death to the user is the penalty. The dead are meant to stay dead. It can however, be used to bring a person back from the brink of death. Alya cannot individually create any element, she has to begin with it already in existence. Alya cannot use her power to change anything in a living entity, besides healing. Alya is not harmed by fire when she is using it, however, when she is centering on fire, she can be extremely damaged by water. Unique Features/Skills: While Alya cannot control more than one element at a time, when she does control them, they become tangible. She can hold fire, water, or air as though it were a ball. When she controls air, it tends to change to a shadow color. Appearance: Slender and fragile looking, aproximately 5'8" and about 127 pounds. Her skin is light bronze, and her hair is light brown. Nearly blonde and sun-streaked. Alya's eyes are golden brown with a dark blue-ish center, the center color amplified when Alya wears blue colors. Her clothes are simple, often colored with natural tones, and very comfortable. She has them tailored especially to her liking. Her height is mostly in her legs, so she wears a more low-rise sort of pants that don't dig into her ribs. Her shirts are always long enough to be tucked into her pants, and are fitted to her body. Alya usually also wears a long vest that extends to mid thigh. She is never seen without a chain of silver wrapped loosely around her neck, nor without wooden bangles and earrings. Biography: Alya's religion is one that has been passed from family to family for generations. It is an ancient belief, one that has survived, even if just barely. Her power is based on the providence of her creator, the higher power she has been taught to love since birth. Her parents were both died in an unfortunate "accident" about eight years ago, but it was while Alya was away studying. She doesn't believe that it was an accident, and while she has no proof, the result has been her mistrust of all other people. She isn't exactly rude...she just avoids talking to people when it isn't necessary. She knows that her powers grow as her faith does, mostly because she experienced a tremendous setback when her parents died. It has taken till the present time to regain all of what she lost at fifteen, but she isn't going to lose it again either.
Alya's journey was nearly complete. Another day and she would reach the city limits of Tescasia. So far her journey had been well...slow of course, and boring to her adventurous spirit. But all had gone as she'd planned for. Opening her book, she flipped the pages until she found a clean sheet. Sliding the pencil from it's holder on the side of the leather book cover, Alya sketched a caravan trailer that was off in the distance. She was trying to keep an accurate description of where she'd been and so far she had a dozen pages filled with her sketches. Plus, it was a welcome distraction from her slow journey. The trailer continued to move, much to Alya's frustration. She didn't sketch especially fast, and it was annoying to have one's perspective on a subject constantly changing...especially as quickly as it seemed this one was moving.

(yay, postage!)
Justin was sick. The Judicators were declaring war on a people because they exclusively practiced a single religion which a single follower of had acted on, not even an army! No reasoning, no logic. No Humanity. He wanted to vomit, particularly after drowning his sorrows in wine. His father saw it in his face and did not stop him as Justin excused himself from anymore of the procedings.
The tavern was reletively empty, unsuprisingly, except for a few travellers who had no where else to go in the unusual calm because of the events of the day. Justin burried his face in a goblet that seemed to constantly refill itself, praying that he would wake up from what had to be a nightmare.
(Who doesn't like the good ol' fashion tavern?)

Mackenzie's face was puffed up with anger, as he sat at the same bar as Justin, merely meters away. A random officer had told him to leave his spot, for looking like a homeless person. He now looked down into his wine, grumbling angrily.

Alya's frown increased as the trailer continued to move, apparently picking up the pace until it was nearly impossible to sketch accurately. Sighing with frustration, she angrily stuffed her book and pencil back into her travelling bag. A distinct crack was heard as the pencil broke under the pressure. Ignoring it Alya moved from her seat under the shade of a tree and back onto the traveler's path. Right next to the wagon's trail it was obvious which was which since the traveler's path was cushioned by a springy grass. Casting another couple angry glances at the trailer that was still in the distance, Alya resumed her journey to Tescasia.
